Hi,
I am after a cheap mobile contract. I have been with O2 for many years and the good deal is coming to end next month. After few phone calls to their CS, they no longer have interest to keep me (like many others as posted in another threads). I am just wondering what is the general opinion on Carphone Warehouse's cheapest £4.99 per month tariff. They only give 50 mins and 50 texts which is enough for me. I think I can get a free basic phone and cashback from Quidco too. This certainly sound better than O2's £10 /month Simplicity. Any comments? Thank you.0 -

That was with Virgin though and you have to buy £10 credit with any phone. They have the same phone on Orange but it's £6.95 (or £1.95 after cashback) plus £10 for the top-up. OR if you just need the phone get it on Virgin etc for £4.95 (free after £5 cashback) - you will get stuck with the extra sim card and £10 credit though unless you have a friend or relative who wants it. Anyone know what I can do with the Virgin sim and £10 as I don't need either?
Thanks

To anyone thinking of taking up o2's offer of Home Broadband and sim card: DONT! I have just had the worst week fo my life dealing with reps from two departments that basically pass you from one to the other refusing to take responsiblity. There has been one exceptional rep admittedly.
They set up my contract only to get the offer terms wrong and then bombarded me with masses of information which was either incomplete or contradictory. On top of that they had to set up two orders for me and getting my name wrong gave me multiple accounts.
The whole business was a nightmare and i hope that people learn from this. I don't think that bundled services work with o2.0 -

Was looking at this thread for myself but noticed your post. Carphonewarehouse said to my mum the other month that they no longer do the £4.99 a month deal due to the recession and she had to take a £20 deal out which isn't really what she needs as she hardly uses a phone except in emergencies. Is it still running then?0 -
Has anyone used MobilePhoneChecker.co.uk as recommended by Martin?
I have seen a great deal, which is via Mobiles.co.uk. Has anyone bought from this site?
I'm just reluctant to use an unknown site.0 -
