  • Wanted to avoid paying the 60p car parking fee during the weekend, but decided in the snowy weather that it was safer to park closer to the high street. As I walked to the ticket machine I found £1 roadkill. The SPC gods were looking out for me! :)

Added this plus £3 to my little pot.

  • Morning,

Potted a little bit this morning and ended up with some more to pot tonight.

Have a great day everyone xx
  • Happy Monday everyone!

Potted another quid and some silvers into the pot last night. We had some wonderful news! Hubby has been offered a 5-month contract in an IT firm, which is a big step up from his 16h retail job! Our friend, who works in the firm, was so helpful from start to finish. His boss is giving him a referral bonus, which he has kindly offered to split between himself and hubby :) He won't start until March but things will definitely be a bit less tight for the next few months!

Potted £4.31 yesterday which was leftover from weekly shopping budget. Moved £13.19 into dedicated savings from cashback website. Monthly interest due on account - 24p last month but it all helps! Fingers crossed for 30+ pence this month! :rotfl:
Beware of little expenses. A small leak will sink a great ship.

Very many thanks for your help. :D

Afternoon all SPCers! I hope you all had a really great weekend and are enjoying being back at work! Perhaps not, but it's a great way to get some cash in your pots!!!! :j
For those who are not well or who are low in spirits, take great care of yourselves. Get well soon and {{{{hugs}}}} from all the SPC family. :grinheart

It's so good to see you again, Vicky, though I hadn't expected to not after your news from (I believe) the week before last. All in all though you're doing marvellously and can at least be content with your interest!! :D Your dear hubby will never learn ...thank goodness!!! :dance:Also good news of TCB! I see they are joining up with Quidco, what difference, if any, it will make we'll see. Look after yourself Vicky and hopefully we'll see you soon!

Well funny you should say that, I just [STRIKE]forced[/STRIKE] convinced Miss Lily to swap up 2 that she got in a birthday card from her party today :D

WHO has been getting my £2 coins again??? I really think this needs to be added to the first page that all £2 coins are MINE! :rotfl:

You devil jakes-mum! I bet you held Lily's tea to ransom so she gave you those £2s - and on her birthday too!!! :rotfl:No, I'm not putting a new rule on my first post! :pBTW, guess what I've just potted ... another £2!!!!! :rotfl: :j

Excellent news, Robin, of the £2 coins also!!! :dance:Don't worry, she's had more than her share and will be scouring the streets for more!

Very well done, MrsShazbat!! How about putting a small pot by the hob so DH can pop it in there? Although, he'd probably push it aside and still put it in the grease!! :rotfl:What is it they say about being grateful for small mercies!! :D

Brilliant work, Whatshername!!! A really nice amount saved!! :D

All the very best with what we all call a budget, datlex!! ;)I know you're very conscious of your finances so no doubt it'll work out well.

Well done Iheart, we can't always be spending now can we! Don't worry, me either. :(

Wow lucky you, weenapoops! No you hadn't told us, not that we'd expect anyone to. How fortunate, though like all things in life I suppose there are the goods v the bads of it. You obviously love it which is brilliant but do make sure you keep warm at the bitter times!!!!

I love the fact that you've made your own carpet cleaner, so much better than the bought stuff with all the chemicals! Well done you, though I'll need to have a go at it too! Please let us know good it is.
Excellent work with the potted cash, good old hubby too!!!! :j

That's the only problem with our treasures when there are parties, eh Hettyhound especially when there are twins!!! Well done with what you've saved, not bad at all when you've had that extra expense!
Sweet Peas are my absolute favourites too. :D I expect you already know that the more you pick them the more blooms grow. We've had Wintersweet blooming, an ordinary shrub but with a fantastic scent, blissful!! Same with our Christmas Box, a heavenly scent!!
    Very well saved, Moneybutterfly!! :D

You're saving pretty well, Homegrown, so your pot's bound to be ... putting weight on!!!

A very wise decision in more ways than one, Saving Glut, fantastic!!!!

Brilliant potting, Pmo2!!! It's amazing how much we're able to chuck in!!!! :D

What splendid news, Dreamworlded!!!!! :j:j:jI'm so very chuffed for you both, what a difference it'll make!!! How kind too with the referral split, excellent news I'm really excited for you both!!! :D Great potting too!

It'll be good to see you more regularly, browneyed-girl, more motivational for you too no doubt!! Things are going wonderfully too, so well done!!! :D

Great work, siju!! Thoughts are still being sent your way, all the best with everything right now as well as the immediate future. :)

A very nice debt to have been returned to you, Deni! Good work in potting it!!! :D

Have a good Monday, Tuesday also, SPCers! Keep potting everyone, iso long asyou're able!!

    Sue

Morning all, potted £2 yesterday as I took a friend's child to an activity with my DD so she gave me the coins and straight in the pot! Also £3 from a Facebook sale.
