  • Potted £6.50 from this week's purse clear-out, and some shrapnel into the bottle. Hubby has an annoying habit of leaving shrapnel on the counter by the hob, which hampers cleaning anyway but also gets sticky from the cooking. Ugh.

My Quidco total has gone up as well, although I haven't checked by how much yet.

Not much potted this week, just a couple of pound. Next week, will hopefully be more, though I do need to replenish one of the window cleaner pots as he has been, so I now only one left. I like to have two ready. I have been re-evaluating my finances and made a few changes to the way I organise them, starting from this coming week. Looks more like a budget- i.e. fixed weekly amounts to all accounts. I was sending money to an account and distributing it from that as needed. I now want to ensure the balance of that stays at £1500- it earns £6.25 a month interest which goes towards Christmas spends.
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.

NSD today so I have emptied my purse into my pot, so £2.80 today.

    Happy Sunday everyone.
  • Hi everyone

Hope everyone's been keeping warm this chilly weekend. Not left the boat all weekend.....not sure i've mentioned but I live on a wooden boat on the canal :D:D
Canal has iced over this weekend brrrrrrrrr! Decided to stay home and have a lazy day on Saturday so NSD - £10 in the pot :j
Today i've been pottering about making my own fabric freshener and some home made shake n vac :D Was planning on potting up some herbs for the kitchen but my little bag of compost has frozen solid :rotfl::rotfl: So today turned into a NSD too so another £10 for the pot.
The hubby was having a clear out in our storage area at front of boat and found a load of odd coins that have gone in the pot - £1.86.
So £21.86 in the pot and lots of jobs done :j:j
:jYou've got to be in it to win it!! Just believe to receive!! :j

Just potted £1.23. The boy has been invited to 2 birthday parties so needed 3 pressies as one party is for twins. Budgeted £5 per present and spent a total of 13.77 so potted the change. Weenapoops didn’t know you lived on a boat, used to live near the canal and always felt for the owners when the canal froze; hope you are managing to keep warm and excellent no spend potting. I’m planning on planting chilli seeds tonight and some sweet peas too, they are one of my favourite flowers and I always look forward to that wonderful fragrance in the summer.
