Helloooo! hello hello hello!
Where has my months gone? one minute its the 3rd November then next Sue is telling me its 4 days to christmas  I managed to catch up to page 10, so will have to go back and read the further 13 pages
Its just been . . well horrible . . round here. Didn't even get the tree put up till the 14th and that was after serious nagging from youngest, just so very busy trying to sort life out. Health has taken a horrible turn for both me and DH, him with his arthritis cos of this awful cold weather and me with my back and hips, again because of the horrible cold weatherpain is making his depression worse as well so all in all not great. Had to go to the docs about my pain as despite me repeatedly telling him they were not working, he insisted on repeatedly upping the level of duloxetine i was on until I finally had to beg him to try something else as I was at the stage that if someone offered me arsenic and said 'this will dull the pain love' i'd have taken it  now on the dreaded Tramadol, they take the edge off if I take 1 every 6 hrs but I haven't slept properly in months as I keep getting stuck in my sleep and have to wake up and move to ease the pain
. I don't dare take any more tramadol than I am after the doctors 'they are very very VERY addictive! only take them if you are desperate!' warnings
Anyway, trying to stay cheerful about the whole christmas thing despite youngest coming to me 2 weeks ago and saying 'mum is father christmas real? cos I don't think he is'I think that might also be bringing me down as its like the magic is over
on the up side, I have battled through all the cruddy health and made not 1 but 2! blankets, a quilted one with embroidered harry potter designs for DD and a crocheted chevron one for DS. Crocheted one is so very nearly finished, im literally at the fill in the uppy down bits on the edge and go round it stage! 3 months of solid work, sat in my chair and DS hasn't even noticed :rotfl: Worn myself out completely doing them but i'm so sick of being SICK! I was determined to do them even if it put me in bed for 3 months next year (plus with the money worries going on I kinda needed to make some gifts
)
Anyway, enough whittling about my life, boring load of old twaddle! DH came home last week with Dear Uncles big red tub and said 'count that', £53.68 was in it. '£15 each for the kids and the rest for you he said'every last bit from 5p's upward went in the tin and I put £15 in an envelope for each kid from my purse :rotfl: tin is well heavy
Have been potting away the last few weeks, £2 coin is a bit barren (and yes I did see that some of you have been half inching my £2 coins!!! )
Right I am going to finish this darned blanket so I can get it wrapped!
Oh Sue! did I mention that DS passed his driving test? My baby drives  has a car and everything  im so OLLLLLLLLLLLLLD! :rotfl:
P.S congrats on your new great grandson! oh how i miss baby cuddles!SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

I’ve added some more change to my pot so now have just over £30.
I probably won’t add much to it over Christmas as the things I’ve got planned won’t cost me any money.CC Debt:£450 Emergency Fund: £1,500 Sealed Pot Challenge 2020 #042: £750 -

Manic few days, so quick post and run with no time to catch up on reading the posts.
Finally hit my £5 limit on Profolic so after fees cashed out was £5.53. I've transferred it to my virtual spc bank account. I've also decided not to keep track of the savings, it should be a surprise! Next big pay out is my one poll which is at £28.30 so hoping to cash out before Xmas.
Hope you all have a very merry Christmas and successful pitting new year xFinally Debt Free 24/4/20230 -
Hi fellow potters!
Jakes Mum, It sounds like you (both) are having a tough time and I hope you will pull through it, I wish I could tell you the weather is going to get better (well it is, but it might just get a bit worse first), so do finish your blankets.
Can you also maybe afford to leave the heating on in the parts of the house that you and your husband use the most? Just for the worst of the weather. I keep telling my Mum (Who I know has been sleeping on the settee these past few winters to avoid a cold bedroom). Keep the heating on, don't keep turning it on, off, on, off... her health, your health is more important.
As for your young son... maybe you can turn this into a positive too. I think he'll get over the 'Santa' shock quickly. What's more exciting, getting presents off some guy dressed in red, or getting presents off the person he loves most in the whole wide world:Mum... and other relatives too. Maybe you can introduce the concept of giving back if he doesn't already do so? (I'm stabbing in the dark here though as I don't know how old he is or maybe he does this already).
Anyway, I hope you still have a fab Christmas.
Sue, Sorry to hear about your trapped nerve, I hope it goes away soon, Mum puts 'Deep heat(?) on the one she had on her shoulder, I'm not sure it worked for her but it did make the whole house smell like a hospitalgentle hug from James.
Only a few coins have gone in my tin recently. I've been using the launderette for the past few months since my washing machine broke. I always put a few 50ps on the side to save for the drying machines. Depending on the clothes I have to wash though, I sometimes come back with unused 50ps, so they've been going in my tin.
Have a great Christmas everyone :xmassmileSealed Pot Challenge 15 #78

Oh jakes-mum I'm so sorry to hear about your ill health. Wishing you and DH a pain free Christmas, but take it easy.
Sue-UU - same to you. Sounds painful.
My brain isn't quite unaddled (must be a word, though there is a red wiggly line underneath it when I type it...). However, I have received a £5 credit on my credit card account for using a scheme called "Shop Small". I have duly potted the £5 "extra" from our food shopping budget as that's where it came from. Does that make sense? If not, the long and short of it is that I've potted a fiver!!! :rotfl:
I doubt I'll be potting anything over the next few days, though the family will be sending me potty.

£2.60 has gone into my pot this week so far and as hubby was on his Christmas work night out last night, I'd imagine he will have a pocket full of change from the bars. I'll raid that later and see what I can salvage
Hope everyone is well!Sealed Pot Challenge 075
