A variety of coins potted. Last night. Bits and pieces of change - about £1.40 I think. :j

I added £3 to my pot today so now have just over £20 saved up. I’ve also transferred £50 to my online savings account as I won’t be needing to spend any of the money in my current account until next week. I get paid on Friday which I’m looking forward to but just realised that as I’m getting paid a week early it’ll be a long January. I am doing 2 overtime shifts this week though which will go into my January pay so that’s helping me feel a bit better.

  • I'm still no further along than the 60p yet, but I have a jar I packed up at home that had some bags of coins in and one was 10ps so that will get potted tonight so that I can start having £s not pennies in my SP :rotfl:

There's plenty of smoosh ( ;) ) in the jar that can stay there for now and get changed to bigger coins to pot when I have enough to make it worthwhile!

I think from payday I will take out £10 in cash each week just so I actually have something physical to pot if there are leftovers as I use card for the majority of things x

    Hi everyone
Again not been out so no money added. Its payday tomorrow so will be going out to pay a few bills and hopefully there will be some pennies leftover to put in.
Another miserable day here, just rain rain and more rain!!!

  • Wow Sue what a fabulous total for 2018. When you take care of the pennies, the pounds really do look after themselves! Congrats to everyone on some serious saving.

I've finally been able to pot a £5 note and a £2 coin. Thought I had a 50 pence piece too but can't seem to find it anywhere. Ah well it'll turn up when least expected.

    Take care everyone

Had a nice email saying we'd won £10 on the postcode lottery. The money will hit the account in a day or two, but I've pinched £10 out my shopping wallet and popes it into my pot. Takes me up to £86.05

Hello all Potters!! I hope you didn't get too wet today, DH & I did during walking our Lab. :( Thankfully she too hates rain so it wasn't too long a one!! :D

To all those members who are poorly or feeling low in any way, do take care and get well soon. For now, {{{hugs}}} from us all at SPC. :grinheart

That's exactly right, datlex, like as not so much of that money could easily have been wasted!!

You've done marvellously, apricity, good thinking ahead too!!!!

A penny is still good, NannyG, and it's 99p closer to your next pound!!

I'm definitely inclined to agree with you, CapricornLass, we did fantastically!!!
