Hi all, not a very eventful day today, currently still resting my leg following a fall a few weeks ago so I've written some Christmas cards, rung three companies and cancelled my credit cards then cut said credit cards up. Been looking/thinking about changing our current account to Santander 123 as you get cashback on your household bills any thoughts?, posted my soa this evening. Potted £1.80 in silver today spc069. Hope you've all had a good day
Lincs, i have the lite version of the 123 account which is the same as the full 123 account but doesn't pay decent interest on positive balances. For us, it's a bills account so we go from having £2k+ in there to 14p in the space of a day so it wasn't worth the £3 (i think) fee for that alone. Instead we moved to the lite version which still gives you cashback on your bills but only costs £1 per month and that works out better for us. I think i get around £9 cashback per month from my account.Sealed Pot Challenge 075
Pay off by Xmas 2019 #02 - target £10,0000 -
My pot was very nearly filled with £2.20 from my purse this morning but thankfully i realised in the nick of time that it's Christmas jumper day today so £1 each for the kids. And my son takes 20p to school every day for milk at lunchtime so it's all been swallowed up just like that.
I'm more hopeful for the weekend...Sealed Pot Challenge 075

I'm more hopeful for the weekend...Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0 -
I’ve now got £13.99 in my pot so need to find a 1p somewhere as it’s really annoying me that it’s a uneven number!
I’m not planning on being able to pot much spare change this weekend as I’m going out for a few hours this evening and then have my works Christmas meal out on Sunday. But I’m going to use cash instead of my card so hopefully I’ll have something leftover on Sunday evening to pot. I’m also limiting myself to 2 drinks tonight as the bar inside the venue is expensive but I also don’t want to deprive myself as I haven’t been out in ages!
I hope everyone has a good weekend.CC Debt:£450 Emergency Fund: £1,500 Sealed Pot Challenge 2020 #042: £750 -

On Thursday got out £20 for the pub. Only ended up using £10. So put £10 from pot with it and only with drew an additional £5 to cover takeaway. So effectively £15 saving there as budget £40 a week for those two. Have potted change from takeaway. Just doing some of my Christmas shopping- all budgeted for through out the year and sitting in an easy access account.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Helloooooo everyone :hello:
Yesterday and today I've shimmied - two lovely £2 coins made their way into my pot!
My (former) Slimming World fiver has also gone in, as has a number of different coins amounting to approximately £4-ish! Not bad.
Oh, and then I've potted £6.90 of TopCashback. :j :j
Spent today snuggled on the sofa with the cat. A lurgy seems to have grabbed hold of me, but the cat has kept me warm. (or was it because I have been snuggled in a blanket and she saw it to sleep on?;))Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
Didn't pot last Friday, so this week's purse clear-out is a combination of both weeks totalling £14 in £2s plus another £5.50. There's also a handful of shrapnel going in the bottle. Can't believe it's Christmas in a week, and I'm looking forward to finishing work on Friday and not returning till 7th Jan. We're getting Xmas Eve off as a freebie and are officially closed till 2nd Jan, but I also booked the remaining 3 days off in that first week. It's only the second time in 14 years that I've taken the whole fortnight (because of how it falls), and I'm REALLY looking forward to it.SPCNo.18 #20 (17 £562.86 16 £678; 15 £1120.92; 14 £416.53; 13 £191.52; 12 £260.48; 11 £480.95; 10 £682.31; 9 £442.64)

Hi SPCers! :hello: I hope you're having a super weekend. Look after yourselves everyone, save when you can and have a lovely Sunday.
For all those of you who are poorly or low in spirits, look after yourselves and get well soon. Here are best wishes and {{{{hugs}}}} from us all at SPC. :grinheart
Very well potted, Whatshername! There's something quite pleasurable about potting those beautiful £2 coins!!
A shame about the cash that couldn't be potted, Homegrown, but do have a look on the 1st post as it tells you exactly how to use a "Holding Pot" that come in very handy when you have kiddies that need cash quick, or car park fees suddenly needed etc. Do have a look.
Fingers crossed for the weekend!
You've saved a fantastic sum already, Loz!! :j Have a wonderful time and enjoy yourself on both nights! Good luck in finding that 1p too!32b3in2013 wrote: »How are we doing with last year's total Sue?

Good potting 32b3!
Mmmm, nowhere near our norm to be honest.I thought it was going to be a terrible year, but all things considered ...those who haven't returned (including our Lynne having moved) and dear folk with a fair bit less saved than normal ...I'm really pleased with, what now appears to be, the Grand Total. I don't think I'm going to wait any longer, 32b3, so I'll put it on after this post!!!
Well, your post took me a few times to make out exactly what you meant, datlex, you should have started at the end and worked back a bit! Anyway, well done on what you potted!!
Hello there fellow shimmier Vicky! Great work with those 2 x £2ers! Another SW £5er as well as TopCashBack eh?!! :T You've had a really excellent week, until you got the lurgy. Ah well Vicky, at least you'll be free of it before Christmas ...plus, thank goodness it wasn't last weekend when you were in Vienna!Get well soon!
A cracking week for you also, MrsShazbat, very well done!! :jYou've got a really super break to look forward to and I hope you thoroughly enjoy it all!
