  • I’ve added a few more coins to my jar over the past few days.
Apart from bus/tube journeys I’m going to withdraw my weekly budget in cash so I have more chance of potting more before the end date. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Pay day purse rummage has only revealed 83p thanks to a visit by the tooth fairy tonight  that’s a £2 coin she’s costing me. He’s very excited though so I shouldn’t begrudge the inflation on tooth fairy money since I was his age, however there are only 31 days to opening

I added in my spare change to my pot this morning as I’m not going out when the weather is like this so won’t need to spend it on anything. I’ve also decided that if at the end of each week if I have money left in my spending bank account I’m going to take it out and pot it so that way I know it’ll at least get saved and not spent on things I don’t need.

#54 I've decided to open my pots early as they were getting very full. I was surprised to have counted up my coins and a few notes and found that the total was £497.53. I couldn't believe it. I thought it would be much less. I decided to round it up from bank account to £500 and pay the remainder of my credit card off so I am literally £110 away from being debt free. Christmas shopping almost complete, waiting on a few bits to arrive but I've done it on the smallest of budgets this year.

Thank you for running this thread. It has been amazing. I can't wait to start again on the 1st November ready for next year.

    :)
