DH went for his pub night last night, I alleviated him of £6.10 when he got home and replaced it with a £5er
I know! i'm too generous!
I have been selling some bits on FB and twice now people have come round without the correct change so I've had to break into the shrapnel pot to get them change, but have duly replaced it with extra on top to make up for popping the seal, tin now resealed with tape so all is good.SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

Well it was all going so well with the saving have a £1500 in emergency savings. Money set aside to pay for Christmas and family birthdays left this year, so that's already accounted for. Over paying on mortgage as well and not in debt other than mortgage. Small savings in other account and over £250 in my savings jar...…..
Then the boiler has broke and needs fixing. All in will be costing £294. Using same plumber as have on a couple of other occasions and he has been cheap in the past. So obviously my £250 will be going towards that, rather than touching my emergency fund. Annoying to have to use it, but on the plus side it is money I don't have to find. So I am really glad I started putting the money aside.
Will be continuing to save up in my pot but due to this expense. I am counting this challenge for this year as complete and counting my started date for the 2019-20 challenge as running from 1st October- 1st December. (Hopefully won't need to cash that in early).Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0 -
Just put £1.75 in the pot. We have another wobbly tooth situation so the tooth fairy has held back a couple of pound coins just in case. Another 10 days to payday and only £10 in purse to last and no food budget money left. We do have a freezer full of batch cooking and an inventive mind so will be ok.
Sorry to hear about your boiler datlex. I’ve just got my renewal for the boiler cover so I’m contemplating other options. The issue with me is I’ve failed on several occasions to get a good and reliable service from local gas engineers so I am aware that part of what I pay is to keep my stress levels low at annual servicing time!
Worked out a budget last night to take me to the end of the year. I’ve not added a huge amount for Christmas so I am hoping that my pot contents will stretch out for some presents for my boy; not long til I find out :eek:SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86[/COLOUR]:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £20MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; June 2025 £19,394.00 2025 OP £1589/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £2050/£21,930 (9.34%)0
