#54 I've decided to open my pots early as they were getting very full. I was surprised to have counted up my coins and a few notes and found that the total was £497.53. I couldn't believe it. I thought it would be much less. I decided to round it up from bank account to £500 and pay the remainder of my credit card off so I am literally £110 away from being debt free. Christmas shopping almost complete, waiting on a few bits to arrive but I've done it on the smallest of budgets this year.

Thank you for running this thread. It has been amazing. I can't wait to start again on the 1st November ready for next year.

    :)

That's an amazing amount to have saved LLM2018. Excellent potting :j

  • Hi everyone,

Sorry that I have been AWOL, too much going on in RL.

Potted 73p from the shopping. Can you believe my boy has already lost the £2 the tooth fairy gave him! It won’t have gone far, probably under the bed. Think I might seal up his money box in the future and set an opening date...

    Evening pottersssssssssssssssss

4 x £2 coins in the pot today :D got a new young lad at the post office who tried to give me 2 x £1 coins last week in my change  the lady who usually serves me goes 'noooo, she has £2 coins!' while i'm almost on the floor at the trauma. Went in today to post a parcel and he carefully gives me 2 notes and a £2 coin as change with a 'I remembered!' bless him, he's a quick learner :rotfl:

What are we at? 27 days to go?? OMG so close!! anyone had a little competition with their family at guessing what they've saved? We do this every year with the kids, who ever is closest gets a £10er. I'm not allowed to play cos it seems I have an unfair advantage having been the one to pot it all :rotfl:

I have a little bet with myself. I don't count what I put in the pot now, so I always wonder if I am going to get over £10 :D

I took out £40 for my weekly food shop this morning and only spent £32 so have potted the rest.
I’ve left £20 in my spending account to cover my bus fare for the week but hopefully I’ll have something left to withdraw at the end of the week as I’ll just be in uni or at work. Luckily my uni offers free weekly yoga classes and I paid for my gym membership up front so have free stuff to do.
