Just been reading back over previous posts and saw the one regarding Sue.......32b, please pass my love on to her. She has no idea how much she helped and inspired me to save when I first joined SPC

I’ve just banked what was in my pot (£65) as I realised that if I didn’t I’d go into my overdraft by £50 before I get paid in 2 weeks :o I could have moved money over from my savings account but am trying not to touch it until I really need to.

Can I declare my total for the year now? In total it was £436 :j

woo, look at me with the multi quoting. Thanks again jakes-mum :j

Yay! all your posts must now be multiquoted :rotfl:

Got me some more £2 coins :D How many? umm don't remember but some :D

Also finished the kids Christmas shopping :j its sooooo much easier and cheaper when they no longer believe! I did tentatively approach the 'no stocking this year' idea with Miss Lily but she was having none of it :rotfl: so £15 of tat has been duly purchased for her stocking, i'm sure she will love said tat, i'll try again next year to get rid of the stocking :rotfl: DS was soooo much easier, he came to me and went 'really mum? can we not just bypass the whole stocking thing? its a total waste of time'.

DH was pushing to go away after Christmas as a family Christmas present and just do a couple of gifts each, i'm not quite ready to give up Christmas entirely yet and with the super secret 50th birthday getaway (that I am STILL holding onto! so proud of myself!) I didn't really want to scrape even more money together for another break away at the most expensive time of year.

Right, off to see if I can find any more stuff to fleabay, there must be a corner somewhere I have yet to go through!

  • 32b I have just found your post with Sue's letter regarding her health. I am so sorry to hear that she is so unwell. She has been an inspiration to me for a number of years on here and I thank her for that from the bottom of my heart. I am still potting, albeit slowly due to circumstances in the Sweetie household. G has been ( and still is) quite poorly with a neck problem which causes him so much pain and our lives have been on hold for over 18 months. We are having to move home to make things easier so money is very tight. I will, however, still open my pot and declare on the due date. You are all amazing and a big 'thank you' to you 32b for helping to keep the thread going.

Anyway, just 32p potted today but I am making an extra effort for the next couple of weeks to boost my modest total.

    Hugs to everyone x

Just checking in briefly to say HI  Life has become extremely busy but this weekend, for the first time in ages, we actually have nothing planned, so I'm going to make the most of it before we start again!

I haven't been potting a lot, but I have managed to snaffle a few pounds here and there. Not long to go now Potters...............so exciting! Keep up the good work everyone, we are nearly there :T

    Hello potters.

So much for trying to post more this year - failed miserably. However I have continued to pot lots - mostly shrapnel unfortunately - but it all counts.
Hugs to all that needs it and so sorry to hear Sue unable to continue at present. Thanks to 32b for carrying on the thread.
Not long till counting time so will post again soon.

My lovely baby puppy found me a £1 coin on her walk with her dad yesterday so that's in my bag waiting to be potted and DH handed me a £2 coin PLUS I have 2 x £2 coins in my purse for potting :D

The guesses are in from the jakes-mum household for whats in the pot, we will see who is closest in 21 days :D

£1.79 potted change from food shopping. Noticed Christmas stuff on the shelves; mince pies and Christmas pudding in October? Bought some tiny packets of buttons to put away for his Christmas stocking and will visit the second hand toy shop near us to look for gifts from Santa. Hoping my pot will contribute to his presents to make December a little easier :D
