Oh dear....I didn’t quite realise how long it’s been since I’ve posted on here :(. Life does seem to get in the way.

Have been determinedly adding to the pot whenever I can though - it’s now so heavy I can barely lift it! Next time I might consider exchanging coins for notes at strategic points throughout the year!

Good news is that DH has gone back to part-time work after nearly a year off (for childcare reasons) and is frequently adding his tips to the pot. Last week it was more than £20 :j

Nothing potted today yet, but DH is due back from the shops soon so I’ll be raiding his wallet for change. He’s given up fighting me now :rotfl:

Good luck to everyone in their efforts - only 2 months until opening day!! :j
Beware of little expenses. A small leak will sink a great ship.

I haven’t potted anything for a couple of weeks as I’ve been stressed about moving.

I’m feeling better now as I’ve secured a part time job for when I move to university in a couple of weeks. It’s with the same company I work for now so my hourly pay won’t go down and I’ll get to keep my discount card. So hopefully I’ll be able to pot more often in next years challenge.

I added £30 to my pot today to make up for lack of potting these past few weeks.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

  • Hi everyone

Managed to pot £2.00 yesterday so it's going ok.

May not be commenting much for a bit. My husband has just been diagnosed with cancer so it's a very emotional time. I may need to open my tin early depending on what happens and if we decide to go away for a weekend to spend some time together

I hope everyone else is ok and happy potting:wave:

    Hello potters,

After a non-stop summer keeping the kids from hurting each other I've not been updating my potting journey or diary.

I've had an eBay selling frenzy and have smashed my £1000 target in my sealed pot bank account. Total made from 1/1/19 is £1119.05 (have £92.75 on Xmas sale bargain presents already)

This extra income is only from selling, surveys, receipt logging and cashback. I do have a copper traditional sealed pot that hubby has been adding to....but no clue what's in that!

I never thought I'd hit my original £500 nevermind £1000! I should set my target higher now, but I'm just going to keep plodding on. I'm relieved Christmas is more than covered which is a huge relief as I've been off work after an accident 13months, so relying on esa.
    Finally Debt Free 24/4/2023
