Hello Potters!!! :D I hope you've all had a wonderful weekend, and will now enjoying the week ahead. Better weather down here now...until Wednesday!!
For all those members who are not well or who are low in spirits, take great care of yourselves. Get well soon and {{{{hugs}}}} from all the SPC family. :grinheart

I've been waylaid at any chance of coming on SPC through last week. Firstly, after having suffered unknowingly for a month with some  clearly hacking into my Facebook account leaving me with so many problems, but at last it seems to be sorted, says she with tightly crossed fingers! Trouble was I'd changed my PW twice, but still it went on!!
Add to that Drs appts for us both, plus hospital and physio for me with arthritis in my neck and a great deal of pain, and now exercises for it... but I'm here at last!!

WOW that £5er was brilliantly spotted, Choccygirl, fantastic!!
You're right about the amounts of money being saved, great work!! It's wonderful when we get to this time of year and cash potted is a great indication of such happy faces come October!!
Christmas shopping in JUNE??! You're not even supposed to mention the C word until September! However, if you see things you know are going to make great gifts, why not get them while they're there!

Continuing with the tumble drier theme, one of the best things I've ever bought is a Sheila Maid. I use it constantly to dry my washing. It's not very pretty and, as it is in a small utility room, it does make it dark in there, but, oh boy, does it save me some money. It's well worth the investment if you can find somewhere to hang it.

I hadn't a clue what a Sheila Maid was, siju!! Just had a look and instantly recognised what you meant as years ago folk used to refer to them as airers. Although we never had one (one room up and one down) they were certainly popular. I guess over time people bought the tumble driers and dispensed with the SMs. Great to hear you're still benefiting so much from yours!
I bet you missed your DH so very much if truth be told! Still, it's good to enjoy me time.

So, you have a Sheila Maid too then, Hettyhound, good to hear you also reap the rewards and saving as a result. Well done on keeping any floors free from potting material!!! ;)

Brilliant news, Maddie! :j£30 is a great sum!!!

I reckon folk must be using cards more, claremylove, a bit selfish of them but there you go. :( Yes, you could also have competition from a fellow SPCer! Keep one step ahead!!

Great savings is still brilliant saving, weenapoops!!!! Don't forget to be back sooner!

Another £15 potted after shopping today!! Also, £1.03 roadkill!!!! :j£1 by the allotments and 3p in various places. All happily settled in to their new home.

Have a relaxing evening and lovely Tuesday, Potters..and feed those pots!!! ;)

Oh poor you Sue-UU, you have been having troubles. Doesn't it make you mad when these faceless people disrupt your life and cause stress and worry. It's all so unnecessary. I hope it's all sorted now.

Well DH has returned home (with some treats) and shattered the quiet, but yes, you are right Sue-UU I did miss him. As we work together and live together, it is strange to be without him. The dog got fed up with me talking to him so I think he was pleased to see DH too :rotfl:

I've £9.24 to pot today. We're off on our holidays next week so I shall be missing for a while but, I promise, I'll be back :) Take care of yourselves and your pot, Potters.

52p and the shopping purse is empty; it’s going to be a long road into payday on the 28th. Update on the red hydrangea I bought earlier this year, it ain’t red! Don’t get me wrong it’s lovely and I like it but it’s white with a tiny reddish pink edging to the petals. I used the special compost and I only water it with rainwater so I’m trying my hardest to treat it well. Ah well I should know better than to trust the picture on the label as my blooms are never as abundant as the photos and this time they aren’t even the same colour :rotfl: However the sweet peas are starting, oh my that beautiful delicious fragrance.....summer is here! :D

Hi, wow summer solstice today! 🌞 Where is the year going! I don’t often post but am potting away! I’m not keeping a running total! I want a surprise. I’m only really adding road kill, coppers from purse and coins found when tidying. My jar is feeling weighty though.

Have a good weekend everyone 😃

I know sue, sorry to spring that c word out so early! I've got a confession I've withdrawn and spent £50 this week! A friebd of mine was selling her trollbeads so I've bought 5 as brand new and the girls won't know. The cost of them new was £160 so certainly added value.

I'll keep my total going and what I've spent too. I've noticed a couple of lovely umbrellas in the sales too so tempted to get those as half price. I feel really in control for first time ever and thanks to this challenge have the cash ready if I spot a bargain!

In other news another eBay sale and £11 profit. Do have another item sold but buyer seems to be very slow at paying!

Takes my bank total to £672.73 (£50 spent on presents)

    Evening everyone,
I have no idea how much is in my tin and I have resisted the temptation to break into it 'just to check what is in there'!

Hi SPCers!!! :D I hope you're all enjoying a wonderful weekend, and will have a good a week ahead.

Yes siju, thank goodness all's well again still. Your poor dog, I can imagine him layed flat, paw over the top of his head and ears. :rotfl:

Have a wonderful holiday and I hope the sun shines for you. You'd better be back again for certain! Excellent potting btw!! :D

What a rotten shame about the hydrangea, Hettyhound, I know perhaps you're happy enough with it, but it's maddening when you buy one colour but get another. Still, it sounds quite attractive, maybe best to buy in bloom! However, focus on your sweet peas....how couldn't you with that gorgeous aroma, I adore them. Not bad potting and a whole lot better than nowt!! :D

Hi again Pixie! It's good to see you. I don't blame you for wanting a surprise on Declaration Day. Keep up the potting, and remember... the more you pot, the greater the surprise!! :j

You have a great weekend too.

Please take note folks: Take great care in the heat that's forecast from Sunday onwards!! Slap on plenty of sun screen, drink plenty of water and keep out of the sun between 10 and 2!! If you have south-facing windows then keep the windows and curtains closed by day, you'll have much cooler evenings and sleeping.

Don't worry Choccygirl, you're forgiven, just be sure to include that money in your Total when you declare in October. I'm just so pleased you got a bargain for the girls, just as well bite when it's there, same with the brollies! :D
I'm delighted to see how SPC has benefitted you, it's a joy to read!!
Well done with the Eb!y sale!!

Hello again Bounty! It's lovely to have you pop in. Keep potting, and please resist the temptation of opening your pot! Imagine all the excitement you'd miss out on come October! There are only 4 months to go and you'll be surprised how swiftly that will pass. Treat it like a bomb, leave well alone or....!!

That's another £10 for my pot after DH found the note in his pocket, bless him. :kisses3:

Enjoy the rest of the day, folks, and have a great Monday.... don't forget those pots need feeding!!! ;)

    Sue

NB folks: Opening date for SPC 12 will be 31st October 2019

Another £33.79 profit on two eBay sales after all the fees. I'm trying to list 2/3 items a day and it seems to be paying off. Hoping to hit my 1k target by end of October.
