Hi again Potters! :D It's good to see more of you here, saving well too when possible.
To all members who are not well or who are struggling in any way. Take great care of yourselves and we hope to see you soon. Love and best wishes from us all. :grinheart

Hiya 32b3 and so good to see you! :hello: Well, you've picked a good or bad week depending how much you like the heat. I hope you're at least enjoying catching up on things.

T & I are pretty well at the moment thanks. Re the FB lark, all of a sudden I've started receiving friend requests from quite young, fit (!!) men  who either have poor eyesight or are hard up for friends! :rotfl:Weird.
Well done with your potting and knowing you you're doing well! See you again soon I hope and enjoy the rest of your week.

Flipping heck Choccygirl!!! You're doing extremely well with your sales. Keep up the good work and you'll get to that K1 for sure - or should do at the rate you're going!! :j

Lovely to hear from you too, Lucy!! :hello:Another one looking for a lovely surprise in October, and why not! :DBTW, don't forget to include the other money you spent out earlier!! I hope DD1 is ok, her little one/s too. Take care of yourself.
Haven't potted for ages but £2 has gone in today

Not to worry, Whatshername, we're all prone to having dry spells now and then. Do what you can when you can, and that £2 is a good contribution!! Be proud of all you've done so far, and even if you haven't potted a great deal, it's still far better than having squandered it. :D

I heard earlier that the forecasted weather isn't going to be anywhere near as bad as was thought, but stay prepared for Friday & Saturday to hit 30!

Make the most of the rest of today, folks, and have a great Thursday....be sure to act when those pots are pleading!!! ;)

    Sue

NB folks: Opening date for SPC 12 will be 31st October 2019

I haven’t been potting much but I’ve added £7 and some 2ps into my pot so am now up to £11.

I’m off on holiday next week but when I’m back I’m going to take out £20 a week in cash and then use it on taxi fares/milk so I’ll have some more change to pot.

Unfortunately as I had no Summer clothes I have added £100 to my credit card debit but as I’ve also built up my emergency fund I’m not going to beat myself up over it. I’ve now finished college so can put the money I used on trainfare as an extra credit card payment.

I’m hopefully moving in September as I’ll be going to university in a different area which I’m really excited about although I have to pay £250! to secure my room. It’ll be taken off the yearly cost of my accommodation but it’s still a lot of money to pay out at once especially as I’ll only be able to stay there from September-June. Luckily I’ll be able to withdraw the amount I need from my ISA so at least I don’t have to use my emergency fund or even worse put it on the credit card.

I hope everyone else is doing well and enjoying the sunny weather!

Hello to everyone, don't get to post much these days but I'm still potting away and the jar is getting fed on a daily basis. I am curious to know how much is in there but so far I've resisted temptation to open it, waiting for the big day :A

    124 Days :D

Have a great weekend folks :)

Hi again SPCers! :D It's good to see you saving, save as well as possible from here on as time will soon fly!!
To all members who are not well or who are struggling in any way. Take great care of yourselves and we hope to see you soon. Love and best wishes from us all. :grinheart

You must do things the way you find best for you, Loz, but do be careful. I'm not at all surprised at having to pay to secure your university room, our dear daughter did when she went. Have a lovely holiday and be sure to save when you're able! :D

Well done with the 20p roadkill, Hetty, it always gives you a buzz to find some free cash!! :j Nice work with the ceremonial purse potting too, I've heard of some names given to it over the years but yours beats the lot!!!! :rotfl:

Hello there mummytummy! Crikey 124 days isn't a lot and we'll soon reach it too! Ah we all get a bit curious, but if we keep resisting that urge we'll have a lovely surprise on Declaration Day!!! Keep saying as hard as you can. Love to you and a cooler Ozzy land.

HALF WAY through the year, Lost??! We're 8 months through the year, so LESS THAN 4 to go!! Anyway, that's an excellent month's potting and good for hubby contributing the scratch card cash!!!! :j See you at the end of July!

£12 potted after shopping yesterday!!! I had to go for Physio again so, as normal, we had a long hot walk to avoid all that cash - which has now been potted!!!! Over £4 to park for an hour! :eek:Disgraceful.

Enjoy a beautiful weekend, folks, but take care all members in the south east, please!!
Don't forget those pots, Potters! :D

No weekly £10 being potted for a while as DH had an accident as is likely to be off work for a while. But some coins have gone in. Will be holding onto my tin with my dear life, as things are likely to be tight around here:o

  • Hi everyone. Would it be ok if I joined please? I have recently started a tin but only just discovered this group :-) I don't have a goal in mind but i would like to save some money up as 31st October this year is an important date for me for a number of reasons. It's my 10 year wedding anniversary so I would like to do something nice to celebrate. I am also trying to lose 100lbs( definately won't do it by October) but I would like to have lost some weight to feel better about myself by then.

A very warm welcome to you melodyladygunslinger. Our lovely leader Sue-UU will be along to assign you with a SPC number shortly. In the meantime, have a read through the post at the start of the page to familiarise yourself with the challenge. Good luck with your saving and your weight loss, we're all wishing you well :)

Well, I've returned to work after my holiday  I didn't want to come home at all and could easily have stayed another week but, that's life. At least I have fabulous memories (and a couple of pounds to lose too :rotfl:) My waistline is happy I'm home, that's for sure!

Picked up a pile of £1 coins from somewhere on my travels so looking forward to potting £14 tonight. Have a great week Potters. :D
