I agree, STOP.
What's the worst that can happen; it is not their debt to pursue and there's no enforceable signed credit agreement. They won't be able to show the debit card company that you have agreed to continued payments.
If the parking firm then decide to sue over the alleged PCNs you can defend them like any other and counter claim for your losses, why not. This one could be interesting.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Sorry Keith but no, this is one of the stages that is hidden within the great parking scam
Everyone must understand that the scammers DRP are approved members of the BPA
do the BPA offer credit or offer a service to regulate companies regarding this aspect
PARKING not CREDIT , Unregulated at that0 -

YES YES, the BPA is the biggest load crap ever invented, apart of course from the Scam IPC set up by Gladstones
The thing is, does Sir Greg Knight know this ?????0 -
I'm not even sure if a continuous payment authority is even possible with a debit card (somebody in the banking sector will surely know) because I used to take card payments as part of my business a few years ago and I could not keep/store customers card details they had to be securely destroyed once I had used them and that meant ONCE.
If I had to put a card payment through from the same customer/same card a second time I had to go through the same process with the customer as if they were a first time customer.
There are stiff penalty's for misusing or keeping hold of card details and this includes chargebacks. I don't know if this connects to the new data protection Laws ( it probably does) but I wouldn't be surprised if DRP are misusing/storing customers debit/credit card details.0 -

It is confirmed by Coupon-mad :T
Get on to your bank first thing tomorrow and CANCEL ALL PAYMENTS TO DRP
Then when the DRP idiots come back to you, tell us just what they say ..... they will probably fall into a huge trap0 -

Me too but not now, it's so electronic now that even the banks don't know what's going on until they are told0 -
Payment method (D/D or card transactions) is surely relevant as one has entered into a less 'guaranteed' arrangement. I'm not talking about recouping monies paid, I'm talking about the legality of the agreement itself. If you're saying don't pay it in the first place, what 'contract' has been entered into if one does? Happy to admit I'm new to this, all advice welcome 😊0
