I know MUFC are in a mess but we didn't do too badly. We watched MOTD for the first time in months.:) We were happy with a draw and playing quite well but you got a win!:j
That's amazing restraint going syn free on a Sunday denise. I know it probably shouldn't matter but I always find it harder than on a weekday. I think it's because I expect treats because it's the weekend.:)
That being said, all this week is a bit of a write off as we've got so many pre Christmas things happening. Tomorrow night is gin tasting!:D
Today, I'll be having wine this evening. I'm cooking a breast of lamb from the freezer which will be more fatty (and tasty:drool:) than other cuts so it's hard to judge the syns including the gravy. I always allow 4 for HM gravy as there's fat in meat juices and then cornflour but today might be more.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, half HEB toast, 2 fried eggs, baked beans, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with cottage cheese, pickles, spring onionsroast lamb, roast potatoes and carrots, cauil, broccoli, cabbage, swede & carrot mash
Syns: meat/gravy? wine;).0 -
I love breast of lamb but don't think I've had isince starting SW! I used to bone and stuff it myself as didn't like it done by the butcher as there was always more stuffing than lamb and they charged so much to bone and stuff it!
Asda do a boned and stuffed lamb breast and that is synned at 5 Syns per 100g - don't know if that helps but it'll give you an idea of what to syn it at.
I don't actually find it difficult not drinking on a Sunday - Thursday night and Saturday night are my "treat nights" for alcohol!
DH wants to go to a rum tasting night on Tuesday but I've said no as I don't have the syns available and am still trying to get to the lower end of target before Christmas and my holiday.
There's a gin tasting the following week but it depends how good I am over next weekend whether we'll book for that!
Enjoy your lamb Maman.

I'm stuffing it myself with a couple of LM red onion sausages so that should save a syn or two.:DThere's a gin tasting the following week but it depends how good I am over next weekend whether we'll book for that!
We've booked for Gin and Jingle Bells and nibbles are involved too!
Mu plan is to get to the beginning of January being good when I can and then have a big push on plan until we go to India in February. Well that's the plan, hope I can stick to it.
Had a change of menu for lunch. I'd forgotten I had LO casserole from last night until I looked in the fridge. It was yummy.:)
Nipped out this afternoon to Home Bargains for some store cupboard bits as I had an errand to run nearby. It was manic in there . Do people not keep their decorations from year to year or even their crockery??:think:0 -

It's our first time to India so we're doing the Golden Triangle tourist trail.
bubbs , I have really old Christmas decorations too. I have original glass baubles inherited from my aunt, others hand made by my DDs who are grown up and left home many years ago and lots I've bought in France. I'm not one of those who does tasteful when it comes to my tree. It's packed and smothered with memories.
I've been busy since I last posted. I've been through my freezers and redone my inventory. Probably for the first time I have more fish than meat. YS has been good to me lately.0 -
Think doing the Golden Triangle will be fantastic. Not something we've ever done but I would have liked to but DH not so keen unfortunately.
I think most of my decorations are from when we first got married nearly 48 years ago. Have bought a few others from time to time over the years but allso have things like plastic snowflakes that my mum gave me which came free with one of the washing powders back in the 60s I think! They always seemed to be giving something away with washing powder when I was a teenager! I drew the line at the plastic flowers she tried to give me!!!
My DDs also made decorations and wooly pompoms which also go on the tree if we put one up - not going to this year as we've got too much to do between Christmas and New Year as we're having our kitchen redone while we're on holiday plus some building work so have to clear everything out of the kitchen except the white goods! So boxes and boxes of tins, packets, pots & pans etc etc. Almost like moving again!
