Good loss gts and well done on all the Body Magic and the t shirt!:T

Well done on your restraint with the birthday cake v1cky.:)

I portioned up the savoury mice for the freezer and the swede & carrot mash. I've defrosted some prawns too as I love them but not sure how I'll eat them. I might just graze or have a JP depending how hungry I feel.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, kippers, HEA milk for drinks
    L: prawns with ??
D: beef casserole (mushrooms and onions) with SW roasties, swede & carrot mash, cauli, broccoli, green cabbage
Syns: kippers 1.5, cornflour 1, weekend wine.:)

Have you had any of the savoury mice yet? Not something I've ever tried, lol!

I never think to defrost prawns unless I've actually planned to have them so don't really have them very often but think I might have some this week - I'm planning a "sort of" ploughman's for one day this week as have some ham, smoked salmon & salad which needs using up so will definitely add prawns to that for a change. Thanks for the idea:T

Well done TIE. That's a brilliant loss. Glad the EESP worked for you, I've only done it a couple of times and still only had 1/2lb losses so don't bother now. I like my carbs too much!

Had a brilliant weekend with friends. We had a Wine & Wisdom evening last night and I ended up having enough syns for at least 2 days! Only have 9 left for Monday to Wednesday so will have to redo my menu plan to ensure it's very low syn.

    Today's plan:

    B - bacon & mushroom sandwich
L - burger in a bun with lettuce, tomato & cornichons
D - duck breast (no fat will be eaten); roast potatoes, roasted carrots, onions & peppers, green cabbage & peas

    HEA - skimmed milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - spread 2; burger bun 8

I've only done a few days here and there but I often have SP meals (like omelettes). I can't say it's made a big difference for me. From what I've heard of the new plan coming up I can't see me trying it again in a hurry. I was thinking about that and it sounds like SW has come up with a plan for those who want a quick fix diet by cutting back on carbs and treats. That's not sustainable or particularly healthy IMO but, to be fair, they usually only recommend it for short periods.

Tails were a bit chewy for my liking!:rotfl:

My DH eats fish but doesn't really like any seafood so the prawns are just for me. I got a few packs YS in Tesco. So far I've just grazed on them and had a Satsuma. I'll make up for it tonight with my dinner.:)

What's wine and wisdom? Is that like a quiz or just chewing the fat (obviously very synful).;)
  • First weigh in since joining this challenge and am pleased to have lost 3lb! It's been a good week food-wise (although a terrible week at work) but did have a night out on Thursday when I drank far too much wine, so glad I saved some syns.
It's helped coming on here and seeing everyone's tips and ideas so I'll aim to keep it up next week. I realized I'm only 3lbs off my original Club 10 (from when I started in January, a bit heavier than now!) so that's another bit of motivation to hold onto :)
Sending love to tweets for your loss. You definitely deserve a cream cake x
