Finally got to the point where I realise that I can't lose the weight on my own. So, this week I'll be going along to my first ever Slimming World meeting (with a friend who's been going for a while). Not sure what my goal for 9 weeks should be, so I'll stick my neck out and say that I want to lose 9lbs.

Welcome chrisfh. 9lbs should be doable if you can stick to plan. The good thing about SW is you often see a decent loss the first week to get you off to a good start. If you have time, do post regularly with your menus and any questions then we can help you along. Planning is key!:)

Is that your first gain fatrab? At least you know why.:)

It's cold here too.:( Still, can't complain as we've virtually had wall to wall sunshine since about June.:)

I called into Asda earlier and was lucky with a few YS bits, mostly Speed veg.:D

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk, pear and strawberries
L: ham with fried veg and pickled cabbage
D: baked cod, roasted veg (pepper, aubergine, courgette, mushroom, tomato, red onion, garlic, cauliflower) and SW chips
    Syns: syrup 2.5

Welcome chrisfh. A loss of 9lb over 9 weeks is definitely doable and a good rate of loss. SW say 1-2lb a week is the ideal.

As Maman said if you'd like to post your menu plans or have any questions then there's usually someone around who can help.

Good luck on your weight loss journey.

    Good luck Chris!

I did this a week and a half ago. I'd been 'on plan' for years. Still lost 3.5lbs in my first week. Hopeful of another loss on Wed :)

Didn't really feel very SW today. Lots of work on and a bit stressed.

BUT I made it through, just about:

B - Chicken, roast potato and cheese sandwich - HEXA and HEXB and an apple

D - SW chips and onion gravy and a plum

T - Spaghetti Bolognese (speed heavy)

    A hot chocolate in a bit :)
