Lauren - I love Beamish, I'll bet it's very nice at Christmas.

Wanna Bee Free - bacon in cottage pie is unusual to me, I just use mince, onion, peas and carrots with stock - my version is vegan.

Dropped my phone this morning and the screen is completly dead, it doesn't seem cracked on the outside and the phone is still receiving texts but I can't use it or turn it off.

Was supposed to go out for tea with DH and the kids but I was umming and ahhing because the vegan option was very limited and that annoys me but what has annoyed me more is that even though I was uncontactable (rang DH from work this morning to tell him about phone) DH and the kids have gone straight from the school run without leaving a note to say that he had gone, whether the dog has been walked or fed, my mobile kept ringing and I was panicking that DH hadn't picked the kids up and they were ringing me. To say he is in the dog house is an understatement.

  • NST will aim for 15. 8/15 another one today

ORGANISE your time. Will try and find a balance between studying, household chores, family time and me time.done Very little done today as trying to sort a new mortgage deal.

VALUES. Ultimate goal is to continue to OP the mortgage but to keep in mind ethical, environmental and family values.

ENJOY yourself. Try and do something everyday that I enjoy. Enjoying a prosseco right now.

MAKE an inventory of the food in your cupboards, fridge and freezer at the start of the month. Meal plan and shop from the cupboards, freezers and allotments first before visiting supermarkets. Meal plan done and shopping done

BUDGETS should be set before the start of the month. Already done will log spends on here and look at, at the end of the month. Will aim to buy something for the food bank every week

EXERCISE will aim to walk for an hour everyday with the dog.still to do

IN case of emergency Add any items you might need (torch, shovel for snow, old carpet for traction, extra coat or blanket) to your car boot. If you don't belong to a breakdown organisation, make sure you have phone numbers for friends or relatives who might come and help you. Make sure you and your children can be seen if walking or cycling. still need to sort the cars. think snow will have to fall before this gets done

NOW is always the right time to start.will aim to have more faith in myself.'I can do maths' needs to become my mantra this week

NO takeaways, coffee shops, vending machines, canteens unless for a special event. Take your own food and drinks to work, hospital appointments and days out where possible. None bought today

EVERYONE should know their debt free date continuing to pay bank of mum (Nov 2019) and OP the mortgage (another 17 and half years).I am offically a mortgage prisioner enough said

WINTER proof your home, if you haven't already done so. Need to hang new thicker curtains in dining room- still on the list.

YOU should cook from scratch when you can (unless time is short or it costs more to make) and batch cook. Will aim to do this at least 5 days out of 7.l6/5 leek and cheese toasties with lashings of proessco
OUTSIDE It may be cold but wrap up warm and make the most of the available light - it will help your immune system and your mental health see exercise

    REPORT i'm here

KINDNESS costs nothing. Everyone you meet is carrying some sort of burden, so try to be kind, especially to yourself.

Today I am grateful for dd enjoying school, for mum chatting away about her childhood house, for smooth train journeys, for the man I gave money to being so lovely to chat to, for having enough wool for something I want to make, for plenty of walking, for a yummy tea, for fresh bed linen, for dd liking hot choc with almond milk (just as well, as they soya milk was rank and like gloopy glue!)

    Evening all

A planned spend day today. I needed to get a spare set of keys cut for the house, a birthday card for OH, some Christmas cookies that my mum asked for and also paid for my final physiotherapy appointment.

Had my cc statement through and have been charged interest to do with a money transfer I did in June to pay my uni fees and then am paying it back out of my student loan (don't ask why I had to do it this way, my uni is the only uni I've heard of that demands fees up front even though everyone receives student loans in instalments). Anyway the final instalment of my loan isn't due until April next year and I know I picked a long 0% money transfer deal for that exact reason so I'm currently arguing with them as to why they've begun charging me already. Hopefully it's an error and they'll rectify it as if not I'll be paying interest on it until April!

Speaking of uni, I got my results back for my first essay this academic year and it's ot great, I know I've really been lacking motivation and this is obviously the result! So I have to pull my socks up there and get back into it.

  • Morning turtles! Dolly, I will have to try making a vegan one now. Do you use any particular type of veggie mince?

Kindness: on the way out I helped a lost person at doctor’s find the room she needed.

Planned spend day for special event

Time outdoors limited but lots of exercise dancing to the band. A lovely evening.

One freegle item collected so that’s one frog eaten - yippee! ( Was feeling guilt about the other frogs but then remembered kindness to self rule!)

I have to count up my NSDs, I am lost, but I have not bought anything non YS this week, I know that. So plenty of small spends, but hardly any money spent, and it will feed us into next week.

I still have over £30 in the budget for this week. only need sandwich fillers.

Paid out my £1 each for ping pong this morning for DS3 & DS4 so it is a spend day
Posted my stamps survey letters already
Going to go for a pooter about in town

It is blimmin freezing out already- don't forget your gloves!

Tomorrow will be baking and laundry and mucking about - I am with those F0x people who do energy and they want to whack up my monthly payment from £68 to £120 over winter and drop it to £50 over summer. Not sure I am happy with this - with 10 days notice, just before Xmas .... will wait and see I think, as there is no exit fee, but it still seems to be the cheapest over the whole year......

Reading loads, all pure filth and tat, no diy done at all, need to get on with stuff but am still waiting for vouchers and bribes to hit the door mat before I pounce into action.

Keep warm turtles - gloves are out!! - our hot water bottles have been deployed, candles provide nice ambient heat and are so cheerful, and I dread to say it, but it is beginning to feel a bit like .......... (not, like, a lot like, just a bit, like, like) .....Christmas
