  • NST will aim for 15. 5/15 been shopping so no nst.

ORGANISE your time. Will try and find a balance between studying, household chores, family time and me time. DH has taken the kids to his brothers for bonfire and fireworks and I;ve opted to stay at home and catch up on UNi work due to losing a number of study days to DD2 been off school several times over the last month.

VALUES. Ultimate goal is to continue to OP the mortgage but to keep in mind ethical, environmental and family values. signed this petition last night http://chng.it/byWdFM2t> ice (the really cold shop) have made advert about palm oil. If this isn't appropriate on this forum please let me know and I will delete it.

ENJOY yourself. Try and do something everyday that I enjoy. Made 4 Christmas cakes the house smells wonderful. Feel like bursting into song 'its starting to feel alot like Christmas', good job this is the virtual world as I can't hold a tune in a bucket.
MAKE an inventory of the food in your cupboards, fridge and freezer at the start of the month. Meal plan and shop from the cupboards, freezers and allotments first before visiting supermarkets. New plan for next week in the process of been devised.
BUDGETS should be set before the start of the month. Already done will log spends on here and look at, at the end of the month. Will aim to buy something for the food bank every week- done finally today.Shopping = £58.90 including veg box(comes on Thursday) also filled DH car petrol= £26.40. TT of 69p. Money for DD2 trip out £6.50.

EXERCISE will aim to walk for an hour everyday with the dog.done but didn't litter pick as it was dark:(

IN case of emergency Add any items you might need (torch, shovel for snow, old carpet for traction, extra coat or blanket) to your car boot. If you don't belong to a breakdown organisation, make sure you have phone numbers for friends or relatives who might come and help you.
Make sure you and your children can be seen if walking or cycling. still need to sort the cars. think snow will have to fall before this gets done:rotfl:
NOW is always the right time to start.will aim to have more faith in myself.Yes yes yes

NO takeaways, coffee shops, vending machines, canteens unless for a special event. Take your own food and drinks to work, hospital appointments and days out where possible. None bought today

EVERYONE should know their debt free date continuing to pay bank of mum (Nov 2019) and OP the mortgage (another 17 and half years).

WINTER proof your home, if you haven't already done so. Need to hang new thicker curtains in dining room- still on the list. DH has been looking for the curtain rings today, but has got airer working in the garage which will hopefully cut the amount of damp accumulating in the house:T.

YOU should cook from scratch when you can (unless time is short or it costs more to make) and batch cook. Will aim to do this at least 5 days out of 7. 1/5 start of a new week, having leftovers for tea, had leek and cheese toasties for lunch sooooo yummy
OUTSIDE It may be cold but wrap up warm and make the most of the available light - it will help your immune system and your mental health see exercise

    REPORT i'm here

KINDNESS costs nothing. Everyone you meet is carrying some sort of burden, so try to be kind, especially to yourself.made DH breakfast in bed as it was his first day off (worked 12 days straight to earn money for christmas, my hero:A

  • NSD - My purse stayed closed today so that's me on 7/20.

ORGANISE - I made a list today of all Christmas sewing still to be done and allocated dates on the calendar to complete this before I go on holiday on the 8th December. I now just need to have the willpower to stick to the timetable and not be tempted to go out gallivanting.

ENJOY - I've had a lovely Saturday chilling and chatting :)

MAKE - I've started writing my supermarket shopping list. I don't need too much so will add some Christmas food stuffs this month.

BUDGETS - I'm doing really well with the reduced budget. I have £10 in my purse to do me till Friday and I'm hoping to not spend it all.

EXERCISE - I went for a short 1.5 mile walk after lunch before the rain came.

NOW - I'm never as good with the healthy eating at the weekend and will be having crisps and drambuie when I watch the Robert the Bruce film on Netflix later tonight. Might as well get hung for a sheep as a lamb :rotfl:

NO - No takeaways or anything today.

EXTRA - Still on to do list - one day I will deal with this .... one day but not today :(

OUTSIDE - Out walking in the country park.

    REPORT - I'm here.

KINDNESS - I was very kind to a friend today but shouldn't really count as she would do the same for me.

    Happy Saturday night xx

NSDs: 6/15 Did spend some money today, I’m cheekily counting it as an NSD as it was foreign currency that I didn’t know I had. Slap my wrists if you want, but that won’t change my mind!

    Extra income: Remains at £163.23.

Kindness:. Visited mum in Euroland as she had knee op two weeks ago. It was a flying, less than 24 hour visit, but was great to see her and baby brother. :T

Eat those frogs: Great idea! Here are my current top three. 1. Complete tax return. 2. Advertise toys for sale (we retired from fostering earlier this year). 3. Order advent calendars for all my nieces and nephews which will be at my sisters birthday party next weekend.
    IO BTL1 Mortgage was £97,693.54 on 09/08/18; £83,140 on 31/12/19.:D

I love this word as it perfectly describes my wandering in search of innocent pleasures ie shopping, blethering, people watching and anything rather than sitting at home xx

And I was imagining you painting the town red, wearing purple, dragging a stick along the railings as you go past and generally having a good old knees up!

  • Hello
There are some big old frogs I need to deal with over this weekend, so thanks for the inspiration there mothernerd :D I also have a rather large elephant in needing to try and tackle my ex again about the divorce settlement but I am very reluctant with that.
Didn't check in yesterday as I was too busy. Full day at work, then ds swimming lesson and our weekly shop. I was just too tired when I got home to get online, so a bit of tv and bed, although I didn't sleep that well. DS is still in with me at the moment and he's a bed hog.
Not a nsd today either as I filled up with petrol on my way to tutoring. I was up and about early to take some washing to bestie's house (my machine is still broken), then earned some much needed £ at tutoring, then back to bestie's for a couple of hours.
Swallowed a small frog with some marking, and also cleared the cupboard under the sink (for washing machine access) - still need to clear the tinned food cupboard (for further washing machine access) tomorrow. One thing at a time eh?
Thinking of you this weekend Kerry Woman.

Thank you all for your generousity. I sometimes feel that I am being dragged further and further away from where I want to be.

I am cleaning my oven. Put the stuff on and going back shortly to wipe it off. I will run the bath before I go to do it, then I can jump straight in when it's done - metaphorical jump that is. It's the absolute worst thing to do so even if I feel poorly tomorrow, I will have acheived something. Currently wheezing like an accordian even though I took many precautions.

Floor is covered with a plastic 'tarpauline' with a flattened cardboard box and a spread out newspaper on top. hope to be able to bundle the whole thing together in one neat package (tarpaulin was used extensively during the house painting and has been in the garden for a couple of years).

Today I am grateful for an old serial I have been watching, for na excellent film 4 I saw last night and that the fireworks are getting less (some people still seem to have some left).

Oven is done and I've had my bath. oven clean was fairly successful - will look in daylight tomorrow and will be safe to put my head in for a look round. Oven bottom still has a fair amount of gunge I think.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

Don't mention recycling, it's a dirty word in my house, our council have only just sent a letter saying we're finally getting recycling bins (3 years late!). I always take our recycling to the depot, will be glad not to make that trip any more!

Not a NSD today, needed some housey bits and some food, only spent £10 in total and that included a toothbrush so happy with that. Noticed that the strap on my fitbit is breaking so will have to replace soon.

Managed a gym class today, hoovered and cleaned the spare room (where the house rabbits sleep ) now just chilling watching a film with OH.
