  • MSE swallowed my first, quite long post this morning so I will make this short & sweet.

NSD today, putting me on 8/20. Made a little extra cash yesterday by doing some sewing for someone & stuck it upstairs in my savings jar for next weekend when we go to Beamish- going to treat us all to fish & chips.

My long walk Into town proved fruitful, literally, as a very kind lady had put a bucket of cooking apples out with a sign saying to help yourself, I took a few for an apple crumble which I will do this week.

Had a chat to hub about our savings & paying off the car & how I can do both but sacrafices will need to be made . I can't do both of those things and pull new Tv's out of my hat whenever he requests, I'm not a miracle worker :rotfl:

I hope everyone's has a good weekend & if not , Monday is a good oppertunity to start again :D

Second entry for today as Frog #3 is complete!

    Eat those frogs:
Frog #1 has been eaten! Spent quite a longtime advertising toys I decluttered last week. I do hope at least some of these sell as I did forgo a cycle on a beautiful day to do so! However, it feels good to at least have tried.
Frog #2: Complete taxes, so close but not there yet!
Frog #3: Bought advent calendars for 9 nieces and nephews. Phew! Glad that’s done! Came out of Xmas budget as I will only see two before Xmas and these are early Xmas presents. Think I will have bagged £8ish in cash back, but should know next week.

    Day 12

I think everyone's weird. We should all celebrate our individuality and not be embarrassed or ashamed of it.
    Jonny Depp

Being rude is easy. It does not take any effort and is a sign of weakness and insecurity. Kindness shows great self-discipline and strong self-esteem. Being kind is not always easy when dealing with rude people. Kindness is a sign of a person who has done a lot of personal work and has come to a great self-understanding and wisdom. Choose to be kind over being right and you'll be right every time because kindness is a sign of strength.

Troubles don't come alone. They like to arrive in groups.

I am such an Autumn person. Give me a quiet cosy spot with a view of the changing leaves on a crisp late September day, a warm drinkand a good book and I will be all in my glory.

I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not
    Kurt Cobain

There is more stupidity than hydrogen in the universe.
    Frank Zappa

When I die I want people to play my music, go wild and freak out and do anything they want to do
    Jimi Hendrix

Today's inspiration was brought to you by the colours of the autumn leaves and some ageing hippies.

    Hello,

Had a rather quiet weekend. Did some shopping, ended up being £22 over my weekly budget (lower this month anyway due to 5 week month) as DD needed tights and we did one unplanned top up shop. But overall my spending is much more in control this month due to the improved food inventories etc.

But I also paid 50p to DS's school collection for the privilege of 3 no-uniform-days. That plus 2 inservice days saved me a week's worth of ironing ;).

Additionally I had to spend £3.99 on eBay as our toilet roll springy holder thingy broke. But rather than replacing the whole holder (would be hard to find one that matches our lovely golden bathroom furniture, lol) I found just the plastic bit. Still get amazed at what you can buy on eBay.

The weather was the opposite to the forecast so we ended up having a couch day in the sunshine (were expecting it to rain any hour) and Sun we ventured out in the rain for DS school project trying to find hidden tunnels in the city. Otherwise didn't get much done and the house is a bit of a mess but I'll sort that throughout the week.

    Hi lovelies,

Hope you're all having a good start to the week.

    Today is NSD #9.
Organise- got up early & did some ironing/ got ahead with my house work.

Values- got hub to drop my lunch off at work as I forgot it, I almost ran to the shop but then I remembered my car & my lack of budget. Which is still at £105.
Winter proof- got the blankets out. Also thought I might knit my boys a throw each for their rooms. They already have a couple but they always get used.

Need to do my meal plan tonight. Also made a list of frogs, the first of which is to sort my kids toys out-- I will do that tonight!

Off to look at a school tonight for my LO. Terrifying.

Hugs to all those feeling rubbish!! :A
