Whoops no NSD for me. Still on 4/20. Didn't spend all day but as I was walking home (from BF house) I spotted my housemates sitting outside the bar opposite our gaff and stopped for 2 glasses of wine = €3 because the friendly waiter undercharged us. Housemates were rather tiddly from a long lunch so I could've got drawn into all kinds of nonsense but stopped myself.

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend, sending healing vibes to those who need them!

Have a lovely time away, kerry woman!

Today I am grateful for the remembrance service at church, for lovely listening friends, for the many and varied clouds in the sky, for all the autumnal colours, for my throw-it-together soup turning out all yummy, for calling dh's mum, for my sewing machine, for lists.

NSDs: 6/15. Bought sister a present for her 40th. Found good reduction on third website I found it on. I will find out tomorrow if I secured free delivery and 5% cashback, hope sis likes my choice.

Extra income: £182.26 (includes cashback not accounted for previously and which will go toward mortgage op, when I learn how to claim it!).

Kindness: Packed two handbags of toiletries for women’s charity: Handbags with Dignity.

    Eat those frogs:
Frog #1 has been eaten! Spent quite a longtime advertising toys I decluttered last week. I do hope at least some of these sell as I did forgo a cycle on a beautiful day to do so! However, it feels good to at least have tried.
Frog #2: Complete taxes, so close but not there yet!
Frog #3: Buy advent calendars for nieces and nephews. Have found fun ones for younger ones, teenage boys and adult female are a less so!

    Evening all,

Hugs and well wishes to those who need them, sounds like a few people are in the wars!

Another NSD here, I think I'm up to 8 now. Halfway to my target :j spent the morning volunteering, getting nice and cold and wet, but then when the sun came out it was too hot what with all the layers I was wearing! A good morning all in all.

Then went riding, only went in the school today as I wasn't sure whether it was going to tip it down. Luckily it didn't, it was actually a nice ride even though it was shorter than normal.

Had a nice bubble bath, washed my hair too so no longer stink of wet horse (it's an interesting smell). Didn't cook from scratch, just chucked a few things in the oven but I always say volunteering days are cheat days because I'm always knackered! In bed already. Have another week off before I start the new job, going to try and make the most of it.

Been thinking about values and what I want to achieve next year. Spend wise we need a few things done in the house, I also want to save over and above my EF target of £1,000. OH wants a new sofa (he's always said ours is uncomfy and sadly I have to agree) but I don't want to spend a fortune. I also think we may need a bigger bed due to my chronic back pain. However I'm going to try a few things first to see if that can be avoided! But if push comes to shove I'd rather have a decent night's sleep and spend the money!

Kitchen is not clean but is clear ie I can see the worktops and the stove top (oven bottom has had two more loads of stuff on and is the best it's been for a while - better than last few times it was cleaned). Oven shelves and one baking tray have been sprayed and left outside - if it rains I won't even need to clean them.

Copious amounts of stuff have been swept out from under the table, some fallen off the table (put for washing, some recycling and three large dustpans of rubbish.

Lots of stuff for all the bins. No danger of running out of food tubs any time soon - found the 2 bags of 'best ones' I set aside last time I sorted them and about 30 currently all over the dish rack and draining board - when they have dried I will pair them off and discard any laftovers.

More clothes dried and piled up (brought mine upstairs). Currently eating a microwave curry with 2 ys naan bread. Have been shopping. Of the 40 items I bought, 14 were full price but needed - tomato puree, barley for stew, bread for mum (wraps were ys to 10p a pack so grabbed the pile - will freeze them and use as needed), 3 x 17p 2l fizzy water.

My ys 10p bargains included 4 baking potatoes, 2 bags of parsnips, 2 bags of mixed veg. Bought lots of ready chopped onions - chilled were cheaper than frozen.

Keep your fingers crossed that Beloved doesn't wake up, see the clean pans and clear stove top and decide that she will cook.

Today I am grateful for ready chopped onions, making a big difference to the state of the kitchen and ys bargains. Bath time for me.

ICc check out bhf large shops - they have excellent quality furniture and electrical goods - they are fairly spread out but will deliver within a certain radius. CS which sell furniture are very fussy about what they will accept these days - usually new or as good as.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

  • NST will aim for 15. 6/15

ORGANISE your time. Will try and find a balance between studying, household chores, family time and me time.done some studying, households chores and spent family time today

VALUES. Ultimate goal is to continue to OP the mortgage but to keep in mind ethical, environmental and family values. Decided to go and check out iceland next week,DH even on board with us changing/banning certain foods stuffs (palm oil related). Will start with things that aren't essential ie biscuits and move onto more essentials like bread.

ENJOY yourself. Try and do something everyday that I enjoy. Drove into the national park to hunt for the beacons that are been lit to commemorate Armistice day
MAKE an inventory of the food in your cupboards, fridge and freezer at the start of the month. Meal plan and shop from the cupboards, freezers and allotments first before visiting supermarkets. New plan for next week in the process of been devised.
BUDGETS should be set before the start of the month. Already done will log spends on here and look at, at the end of the month. Will aim to buy something for the food bank every week

EXERCISE will aim to walk for an hour everyday with the dog.walked and litter picked with DD1

IN case of emergency Add any items you might need (torch, shovel for snow, old carpet for traction, extra coat or blanket) to your car boot. If you don't belong to a breakdown organisation, make sure you have phone numbers for friends or relatives who might come and help you. Make sure you and your children can be seen if walking or cycling. still need to sort the cars. think snow will have to fall before this gets done
NOW is always the right time to start.will aim to have more faith in myself.Yes yes yes

NO takeaways, coffee shops, vending machines, canteens unless for a special event. Take your own food and drinks to work, hospital appointments and days out where possible. None bought today

EVERYONE should know their debt free date continuing to pay bank of mum (Nov 2019) and OP the mortgage (another 17 and half years).

WINTER proof your home, if you haven't already done so. Need to hang new thicker curtains in dining room- still on the list.

YOU should cook from scratch when you can (unless time is short or it costs more to make) and batch cook. Will aim to do this at least 5 days out of 7. 2/5 leek and pot soup with homemade bread (mum made the bread)
OUTSIDE It may be cold but wrap up warm and make the most of the available light - it will help your immune system and your mental health see exercise

    REPORT i'm here

KINDNESS costs nothing. Everyone you meet is carrying some sort of burden, so try to be kind, especially to yourself.

NSDs Still 3 NSD and 2 XSD.

ORGANISE your time. - Achieved lots of little bits here and there today - am trying to get ahead of myself before next weekend (my eldest 2 are both coming home from uni for the weekend - and I'd like it to be fairly fun and chilled)

VALUES (Want - If I get to 8K OPs I am starting my 2020 Florida fund early.) Spends on some fittings for wall (less than £2) and some bits (all on list) in Tesc0

    ENJOY yourself.

MAKE an inventory of food. Yes, done.

BUDGETS Donated to homeless mission and foodbank. Keeping track of spends.

    EXERCISE Nope. .

    RULES

IN case of emergency I STILL need to put details of my breakdown cover in car as backup. WIll also put another blanket in. Pledge to get this sorted in next few days :D

NOW is the right time. Logged food and drink again today.

NO takeaways etc - None today.

EVERYONEshould know dfd. Only debt is BTL mtge which we are OP-ing. EXTRA - still need to list a couple of bits on fb00k/ flebay. Did have a 'best offer' on something I've got listed on flebay but worked out it would have meant I'd made 84p after all costs if I'd accepted their offer.... and that's not taking into account packaging (only tape, really, as most packaging is reused stuff) and time/ fuel to get to PO.... I declined the offer - would rather just give to CS

WINTER proof your home,- Have got a chap later in month to re-hang kitchen radiator and also service the boiler. OH needs to rehang rear lounge curtains.

YOU should cook from scratch. Yes (made absolutely gorgeous roasted tomato and bacon soup for lunch - was so nice we ate it all and I've roasted some more tomatoes to make it again tomorrow! :D).

OUTSIDE Not really - but it's been rather wet here... (again)

    REPORT regularly - here :)

KINDNESS costs nothing. Gave some no-longer-needed bedding items to a relative.
I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul
