I am so glad that I am vegan, if I wasn't in my current temping job I would probably be about a stone heavier. Today was massive slices of homemade chocolate cream cake, then there was cheese bread, plus all the biscuits, chocolates, sweets and crisps. I just had one of their bananas at lunchtime.
No spending today but there is time yet I suppose. I'm in my pj's and looking forward to a glass of wine.
Don't remember if I mentioned that we got new mattresses for DH and me and DD, we still haven't received the refund for the ones that they wanted to deliver 3 days early and I imagine I will have to call them up again on Monday - bit of a nightmare with that. Anyway we slept on the new ones last night and DH and DD were fine but I wasn't sure but they do say it takes a while to get used to a new one.
Pay day for me today so that money was transferred into our home improvements account.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Easy wins. Could only brave the kitchen by focussing on one job ata time and ignoring everything else. Gathered all the recycling (plastic/ jars/ cans) including all the takeaway cartons on the stove and worktops and put it all in the bin. Apologies, especially to Dolly84, I do normally reuse them all and apologies to the bin men because I normally rinse everything that goes in that bin (voluntary not obligatory) but there was just too much.
4 bags for life later (only used for collecting and carrying - they haven't gone in the bin) started rounding up stuff thet should have been in the bin including all the ripped open plastic carriers, paper, polystyrene and 'flavour' sachets from noodles - again piled up on the stove and both worktops.
Checked the washing machine and decided to redo the load in there with a generous slug of white vinegar. Put a second load in later, and took the first load into the front room (put on the radiator and airer later).
Loads of washing up done. Had a walk round the garden and cut anything that was easy to reach. Have left a (stuck on baked beans) pan inside a small plastic bucket, inside the mixing bowl all soaking and two more pans on the side (one with burnt on stuff - have already soaked and scubbed it about six times so not much left to come off).
Similar number of pans and the 'non stick' interior of the ricer already dealt with. Put a bung it in meal in the oven. Stove and worktop were clear enough to collect the knives (cutting and spreading) and utensils left there (21) and washed them (the bean pan was hiding there as well).
Have eaten and am dressed for the concert. It's at mum's church and will probably be raffle tickets so no NSD for me. last year they sold off leftover pasties and cake in £1 bags. Will buy some if there are any as would be good grab and go food for tomorrow's continued assault on the kitchen (today was mostly ys olive loaf (10p) with the remains of the cheese spread).
Hoping that once I have some space (and some clean pans - seriously considering hiding mine so that when all theirs are dirty they will have to deal with them rather than using all mine as well) I can eat/ make some more meals using the contents of the freezer, maybe hack off some of the ice and then make a decision on when to switch off, clean and restock.
Going to see if the machine is finished and I can bung another load of washing in before my lift arrives.
Today I am grateful for soft toys (not large ones), for good simple food and for making a difference despite my ache and pains and having to do things in small 'bites'. Hi mothernerd. Love today's inspiration post thought about it on and off all day decided that I would prefer to be a lotus flower than a teddy bear. I don't want some child rubbing their nose on top of my head to scent mark me (my DD1 who is 16 does this to her bear and I'm not allowed to wash it as I might damage the rattle).
NST will aim for 15. 5/15 nearly lost a nst today as need butter for my Christmas cakes but decided to wait till tomorrow as we buy a paper on a Saturday.
ORGANISE your time. Will try and find a balance between studying, household chores, family time and me time. Have designated Friday as the night to encourage DH to cook
VALUES. Ultimate goal is to continue to OP the mortgage but to keep in mind ethical, environmental and family values.Walked and litter picked for about 2 miles today, interestingly enough it was a topic on the Jeremy Vine show today. This was because of a documentary on Prince Charles and his children talked about going on holidays and they would go out and pick up litter, so it would seem royalty and I have a common interest :rotfl:
ENJOY yourself. Try and do something everyday that I enjoy. spoke to my baby sister about us possibly going to the goth weekend in Whitby next year. Love planning holidays:D
MAKE an inventory of the food in your cupboards, fridge and freezer at the start of the month. Done for the week at last . Meal plan and shop from the cupboards, freezers and allotments first before visiting supermarkets.

EXERCISE will aim to walk for an hour everyday with the dog.see values
IN case of emergency Add any items you might need (torch, shovel for snow, old carpet for traction, extra coat or blanket) to your car boot. If you don't belong to a breakdown organisation, make sure you have phone numbers for friends or relatives who might come and help you.
Make sure you and your children can be seen if walking or cycling. still need to sort the cars
NOW is always the right time to start.will aim to have more faith in myself.Yes yes yes
NO takeaways, coffee shops, vending machines, canteens unless for a special event. Take your own food and drinks to work, hospital appointments and days out where possible. None bought today
EVERYONE should know their debt free date continuing to pay bank of mum (Nov 2019) and OP the mortgage (another 17 and half years).Another TT of 91p
WINTER proof your home, if you haven't already done so. Need to hang new thicker curtains in dining room- still on the list
YOU should cook from scratch when you can (unless time is short or it costs more to make) and batch cook. Will aim to do this at least 5 days out of 7. 7/5 tonight is another extra day - jacket pots, beans and cheese for tea
OUTSIDE It may be cold but wrap up warm and make the most of the available light - it will help your immune system and your mental health.see exercise started taking vitamin D tablets to keep the winter blues away as at this time of year we don't get the right type of rays.
