    NSD achieved today 6/20.
Went to the florist to pick up the flower arrangements for my Mummy’s grave. Did go and put them into the slots that were already there. It is hard to believe that it is nearly a year(at the weekend) when I found my Mummy on the floor after having a fall when I returned from work.
Walked to florist, also from/to bus stop/Mummy’s grave and went to the country park that was near the cemetery.
Sorted out the luggage tag for my suitcase. Used what I had in.
Nearly done everything on my to do list. Self care and no computer games.
Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 2013
  • Hi mothernerd glad you've got that squid under control. Love today's inspiration post.

NST will aim for 15. 4/15 .Almost lost a nst today but DD1 paid my library fine as I collected some books that she had ordered and pay her fines (she gave the money for them)also. However she doesn't know it yet. I also had a craving for sweets but remembered DD2 had some mints with a hole in upstairs so helped myself.

ORGANISE your time. Will try and find a balance between studying, household chores, family time and me time. Yes this is getting better although I'm having, well made, to outsource some of the housework. Mum has decided to come and help lighten the load with everything that is happening at the mo. She's a superstar.

VALUES. Ultimate goal is to continue to OP the mortgage but to keep in mind ethical, environmental and family values.Very grateful today for my supportive family

ENJOY yourself. Try and do something everyday that I enjoy. will have a big fat bubble bath later hopefully by myself.....

MAKE an inventory of the food in your cupboards, fridge and freezer at the start of the month. Done for the week at last . Meal plan and shop from the cupboards, freezers and allotments first before visiting supermarkets.

BUDGETS should be set before the start of the month. Already done will log spends on here and look at, at the end of the month. Will aim to buy something for the food bank every week.Still not done this but will try to remember when I go shopping

EXERCISE will aim to walk for an hour everyday with the dog.Walked and littered picked for about 3 miles with the dog

IN case of emergency Add any items you might need (torch, shovel for snow, old carpet for traction, extra coat or blanket) to your car boot. If you don't belong to a breakdown organisation, make sure you have phone numbers for friends or relatives who might come and help you.
Make sure you and your children can be seen if walking or cycling. still need to sort the cars

NOW is always the right time to start.will aim to have more faith in myself.Yes yes yes

NO takeaways, coffee shops, vending machines, canteens unless for a special event. Take your own food and drinks to work, hospital appointments and days out where possible. None bought today

EVERYONE should know their debt free date continuing to pay bank of mum (Nov 2019) and OP the mortgage (another 17 and half years).Another TT of 68p

WINTER proof your home, if you haven't already done so. Need to hang new thicker curtains in dining room- still on the list

YOU should cook from scratch when you can (unless time is short or it costs more to make) and batch cook. Will aim to do this at least 5 days out of 7. 6/5 tonight is an extra day - greenmac and cheese for tea
OUTSIDE It may be cold but wrap up warm and make the most of the available light - it will help your immune system and your mental health.see exercise started taking vitamin D tablets to keep the winter blues away as at this time of year we don't get the right type of rays.

    REPORT i'm here

KINDNESS costs nothing. Everyone you meet is carrying some sort of burden, so try to be kind, especially to yourself.ok

Sorry I've been awol. Not been well last few days, managed to get to work still but too worn out by the time I've got home, so no energy for anything but rubbish on the tv. On the mend thou I think.

    NSDs - 6/20. NSD today.
ORGANISE your time. - Managed a little cleaning today, day off from work so ideal for a cleaning catch up.
VALUES Pay off mum.- Mums fund £650 / £1200. Looking at my budgets, I can (being very strict) manage all but £130 in november. So definately mum will be paid in Dec, but I really want to get it done this month!
ENJOY yourself. Played some video games with my bestie today.
M[STRIKE]AKE an inventory of your food.[/STRIKE] Done
    B[STRIKE]UDGETS[/STRIKE] on track.
EXERCISE 4 times a week. I haven't been to the gym all week, I'm going to skip it tonight again, but attempt a class tomorrow.

NOW is always the right time to start. Chicken breast & veg for tea. Nice and simple.
    NO takeaways etc. None injested.
    EXTRA income. Nothing today :(
    W[STRIKE]INTER proof your home.[/STRIKE]
YOU should cook from scratch. Done
OUTSIDE I took a stroll to the butchers for our chicken (5kg for £25) bf's turn to buy. Came home, tucked myself back under the duvet.
    REPORT Here I am.
KINDNESS costs nothing. Not seen anyone today to be kind to (unless you count paying the butcher). I did recieve my bike rack today, so will post a nice review for the seller.
I also recieved the wrong item from another seller, I bought an xbox one controller for £30 (around £45 new) and they have sent a skanky used xbox 360 controller, which are worth about £10. Have sent the seller a message and will start a dispute tomorrow if I don't get a response.

I'm just celebrating another day of survival at work. I am tired, and struggling with motivation at the moment so every day is another day closer to the weekend. :D And payday :D

Today I am grateful for beautiful trees, for being able to rush around at work to sort things out, for a lovely remembrance service, for several compliments from pupils about my poppy (hand-made knitted one - I've worn it all week on a pink cardi, but today's cardi was white, so it stood out much more), for dd's commitment to her crafting stuff (just as well, as the deadline to submit it is tomorrow!), for bumping into a friend, for stuffing 32 bunny legs and arms whilst watching Poirot.

    ORGANISE your time.
I've balanced different things: financial work, garden work, hobby stuff, tidying the kitchen.

    VALUES.
I've been pretty unhappy with so many appointments outside the house over the summer, while I'm living in such chaos - 80% of the appointments were voluntary, I'm not under any compulsion! But things weren't working for me. And I'm very, very gradually catching up to making my house into somewhere pleasant to be. I notice that every day this week, I've woken up happy.

    ENJOY yourself.
It might not sound enjoyable, but I submerged myself into the free Ancestry information this afternoon. And the recycling/ composting/ pruning of the hedges is starting to go well.

MAKE an inventory of the food in your cupboards,

Made a shortbread! I need to use several flours when I do that, because I always use gluten free flour, but at least I did it.

BUDGETS should be set before the start of the month.
Started changing my mobile phone contract today, from Three to giffgaff. 40-50% of what I was starting to pay (I paid nothing for ages, as compensation for their messup).

    EXERCISE

    Just the gardening today.

    IN case of emergency

Bother, I meant to carry my mobile with me all the time out of the house, and I left it inside when I went gardening :(

YOU should cook from scratch when you can
This sounds ridiculous as I write this ... I was late putting the dishwasher on, so I couldn't cook any pasta, so I just opened some tinned potatoes for lunch. And the other knock on effect was that I didn't have enough time to pre-boil the beans I'd soaked, and cook them in time for my meal this evening. All from being dozy about putting the dishwasher on.

    KINDNESS costs nothing.

Standing ready to leap to answer the call from my two closest relatives.

  • NSDs: 5/15 (Although this doesn’t mean I haven’t been window shopping online!).

Extra Income: OH sold lamps I had prepped on kitchen for eBay to friend who was visiting, saving me time and costs! Total: ££130.22.

Winter proof: Popped padded cover on hens Egluu to keep them warm! Does this count?!

Also, when OH asked me to pick up some ingredients for dinner tonight I was able to let her know it wasn’t necessary as we already had them I. The fridge and freezer as I had done food inventory earlier in the week!
    IO BTL1 Mortgage was £97,693.54 on 09/08/18; £83,140 on 31/12/19.:D

  • NSD - I've only spent money on 4 cheese scones and a farmhouse loaf. These were all ys from M&S so I'm on NSD 6/20.

ORGANISE - Thursday morning is housework morning and it was all done this morning. Feel good now :)

ENJOY - As usual my knitting group this afternoon was good fun and very productive. I also had my meditation group from 6.30 - 7.30. It's only the third time I've gone but am enjoying it and they're a nice group of people.

EXERCISE - 4 hours of housework this morning was definitely my exercise for the day.

    NO - no takeaways.

OUTSIDE - Not really as it was dark when I left for meditation.

REPORT - I'm here although later than usual.

KINDNESS - I took carrot cake to the knitting group and it was much appreciated.

I've a busy day tomorrow so I'm off to bed now xx
