Not sure whether I can claim today as a NSD, I paid for parking while out with mum and dad and left a tip after lunch, but mum insists on reimbursing me so I'll get the money back (I'm not sure why she insists on this!).
Nothing else to report today, had a nice lunch, weather was a bit grim all day here so not much else done.0 -
Nice to meet you @karmacat!
Congrats on your overpayment @laurenh1 that's a great achievement
I am on NSD 7 out of 7, it's starting to feel like a bit of a challenge now but I have no desire to buy anything. Going to have to do a food shop tomorrow as we are all out of essentials.
Grateful for lovely colleagues who surprised me with a cake as a very belated bday present
Met a friend at the library as it was open late tonight, cheap socialising is the best.
Worked a lot over the past few days so am going to try and focus on self care over the next few days.
I really need to ring and rearrange my CBT appointment so putting it here so I can remember/be accountable!0 -

Working out
working hard
Eating healthy
Saying No to people
Bubble baths
Staying in
Being present
Shifting gears
Staying focused
Feeling incredible
(ah well, we can only try - remember 2 out of 3 ain't bad)
Don't fake being okay
You only hurt yourself
Be real with what you are going through,
just don't let it consume you
Balance
No matter what they tell you, you don't have to stay within the lines
SIMPLE FORMULA FOR LIVING
Live beneath your means
Return everything you borrow
Stop blaming other people
Admit it when you make a mistake
Give clothes not worn to charity
Do something nice and try not to get caught
Listen more, talk less
Every day take a 30 minute walk
Strive for excellence, not perfection
Be on time. Don't make excuses.
Don't argue. Get organised
Be kind to unkind people
Let someone ahead of you in the queue
Take time to be alone
Cultivate good manners
Be humble
realise and accept that life isn't fair
Know when to keep your mouth shut
Try to go a whole day without criticising anyone
Learn from the past. plan for the future
Live in the prsent
Don't sweat the small stuff
It's all small stuff
(Could take issue with some of those, but as usual, take and adapt anything useful, discard the rest)
I only want to live in peace, plant potatoes and dream

Thrifty I was going to warn about the fartiness of the Jerusalem artichoke, but it seems there is no need! A shame as I love them roasted.
Foxholes I have been known to hide crisps and other lunchbox goods to get through to the end of the week.
Mothernerd If you are growing squids might it be time to get back to the GP? Chest infections are not to be messed with, and you don't want to end up with pneumonia.
In MSE news, I had a spend day as needed a top up shop and some DIY materials in my quest to fix the washing machines. Was all set to take the pump apart with the help of YouTube, but the first thing I fixed turned out to have been the problem. Ah well, at least I know have some pliers to hand which I'm sure will be useful for something.0 -
.
Organise your time- I got up early again, I think F0xh0les suggested this, as a way of getting a head start on the day before the kids get up and I think it is working really well.
Guilty as charged, I get the lunchbox sorted, breakfast table set and the day planned out with a cup of coffee before the first person asks me if I know where they left their ______________ (which they could not find with both hands, even if I drew them a map).
Today will be NSD 4 as I will park in supermarket instead of paying hospital parking fees, fill up water bottles from the tap for Xcountry after school (last .one!!!!)
Kindness - taking another mum's kid with me to X country as she can't do early pick up but will meet us there.
All food from stores, general tidying up and the kitchen looks like a bomb bas hit it.
Will prioritise that today.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
