Ooops, forgot to add,
I have a photo on my phone of my breakdown cover, as it covers me as a passenger in a 3rd party vehicle as well. It just sits there, minding its own business. Same with my car insurance, I have a photo of my customer account number and emergency numbers. I figure it can't hurt, and we have a lot of break-ins and people rifling through our glove boxes at the minute - someone around here has a device to open cars electronically. grrr. I wouldn't notice for months if a piece of paper went missing from my glovebox.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

The only two times I ever failed the iron levels were when I was on WW plan.
Luckily I realised after the 2nd refusal, as if you have 3 in a row they ban you for life. I found if I came off plan and ate like a normal person (a hungry normal person) from 48 hours in advance, my levels were fine. So if you are losing weight (or trying to) that may be the cause.
Sadly not! (I really need to, but the call of cake, freshly baked bread and cheese is usually too strpng!) I have failed regularly over the years, especially pre-hysterectomy. I normally boost my levels for a few weeks beforehand by iron supplements, just to try and make sure. I've failed 3 times out of the past 6 now (never twice in a row) but feel passionately about donating (I actually refused a transfusion post hyster-op (I lost a lot of blood on the table and was borderline for one at the time and my levels didn't recover whilst in hospital (still fully bf a tiny 8 month old on demand might not heave helped!)) because I knew I wouldn't be able to donate afterwards. What I might do, as it's likely to be better for me, is go down to 6-monthly donations - still do my bit but be less likely to fail!

Hello Everyone
Apologies for not posting yesterday. I did have a long list of my goals and then did something silly and managed to get myself locked out of the site. Technology is totally beyond me but the lovely Administrator has fixed it all for me.
So NSD 2/15. After an expensive month in October I am trying to spend as little as possible and keep the wants rather than the needs under control. I'm going to record every spend to see if I can cut back anywhere.
I missed the sober October so I'm doing an alcohol free November. Day number 2 today. Also, after the excesses of the holiday, a bit of healthy eating is called for. The freezers and cupboards are full to bursting with goodness knows what so fingers crossed for that one. A bit more walking as well, I think.
Medicine cupboard is fully stocked and there is plenty of lemon and ginger tea and honey in the cupboard. This is just the best thing ever for relieving the symptoms of colds. Lots of lentils and broth mixture for making home made soup.
Right, I'm off to catch up on everyone's news then it's homemade soup for tea and off to bed early with a book.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
NSD achieved today 1/20.
Went for a walk through the park to gp's and back as had to pick up a prescription.
Made a list of what to be done today. Most of it has been ticked off.
As far as I am aware the only other thing I really need to do this month is to sort out the artificial flower arrangements for my Mum's grave. Have to go back to the florist on Tuesday to sort it out. Have updated my diary with things I have planned for, also pencilled in NSD's - hopefully that will help me to keep on track.
Used what I had in.

Breakfast = porridge, lunch was Jack Monroe bean burgers made from cupboard/ freezer/ fridge stores (beans have been hanging around a while) with a little bit of leftover cooked basmati and some roasted tomatoes (HG and then frozen) Dinner likely to be corned beef hash - again all items here.
BUDGETS Spends: Groceries 2.68, Medical 6.50, Xmas 73.30
EXERCISE 4 times a week, 20 minutes a day. -45 mins spent in garden, pulling up plants, raking up leaves, moving pots and furniture - it counts

Have good supply of meds.

Today I am grateful for a clear and crisp day, for a walk in the woods with dh, for finding 18(!) more old Dandy comics in the ch shop, for getting sch work done, for making some mice, for dd loving it at a friend's house, for friend's brother joining in with the girls at play (he has many issues and won't often join in, so I take it as a real compliment to dd that he wanted to), for seeing a local school's fireworks from our back garden, for finishing the pompoms for dsd2's hat (just got to ship it to Oz in time for cmas now!), for dh having extra work this month.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
