I have a photo on my phone of my breakdown cover
I also have a note of the names of the medication I am on (just the pill) in case I ever need to rattle it off to someone & I can't remember the name.
NSDs - 2/20. Not going to count the penny I put in the charity box
ORGANISE your time. - Achived this a little to well in work. Ended up finishing my work 45 minutes before the end of my shift. Then caught up with bestie and went to the gym. Bf cooked tea so I have chance of a little chill time before bed.
VALUES Pay off mum.- Mums fund £450 / £1200.
ENJOY yourself. Had fun at boxing today, I always enjoy boxing
MAKE an inventory of your food. Bf has been handed the shopping list for tomorrow.
BUDGETS updated after monthly DD's paid.
EXERCISE 4 times a week. More boxing at the gym. Weigh in was a mixed result, lost weigh, but also lost muscle, this may just be due to dehydration. I will wait and see what next weeks results say, and make sure to up my water intake!
RULES have been followed!
IN case of emergency Have informed the bf we need to stock up on lemsips and lozenges.
NOW is always the right time to start. Meals planned and bf instructed. Healthy meals planned for the week.
NO takeaways etc. None injested.
EXTRA income. Nothing made today. I did check the rota for and shifts going, only one so far and its for tomorrow and I'm already working.
WINTER proof your home. Trying really hard to resist putting on the heating as soon as I get in the house. We're trying to only put it on for an hour or so when we have washing to dry. So I am layering up.
YOU should cook from scratch. More chicken breast and roasted sprouts. Fish for lunch tomorrow.
OUTSIDE Walked the pup and to & from the gym.
REPORT Made it today!
KINDNESS costs nothing. Loaned my spare boxing wraps to my class-mate so she could see if they helped her hurting wrist.Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

Evening all. First NSD of the month for me. Last day at work today, all feels a bit surreal, it hasn't fully hit home yet. I'm sure it will soon enough. The time had come to move on but will really miss my team.
Not much else to report if I'm honest, managed a 30 minute walk in the park at work at lunchtime. Not sure what I'll do at my new job without the park!0 -
Still on 0 NSDs as bought some gf df things that I couldn't get yesterday. Went a wee walk earlier today with one of the guys from work. Was working a shift for 2nd job after an overtime shift at my job, not my ideal way to spend a day off :rotfl: but at least some much needed pennies were madeMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
Mortgage overpayment savings - £3.33/£50
Mortgage overpayments so far - £675.980 -
NSD - Today is my first NSD. Accidentally added it as a NSD yesterday.
ENJOY - After lunch I couldn't decide whether to go for a walk or have a nap. Anyway, the couch won and I enjoyed a sleep for half an hour. The joys of being retired. I also enjoyed Friday night dinner at mum's - haggis, neeps and tatties with HP sauce. Delicious 😋
MAKE - I checked out home cooked ready meals in the freezer. I then wrote my November menus on the calendar.
EXERCISE - I exercised to a 30 minute exercise dvd.
NOW - I'm continuing with the healthy eating.
WINTERPROOF - I sorted through the medicine cabinet. There's plenty of cold and flu remedies that are still in date. I need to buy paracetamol and Dettol. The Dettol in the cabinet had an expiry date of 2009 - OOPS 😬
OUTSIDE - I had 4 very short (5 minute) walks outside.
Looking forward to a pottering about day tomorrow xxDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

Just checking in
NSD #2- did spend but only on medical & YS. Got all the usual culprits- calpol etc in for the littlies and stocked up on adult remedies too. So this comes under "emergency" also. & lots of YS hallowen stuff for next year!! Feeling very prepared.
Organise time- had a huge discussion with hub about how I take too much on, it's making me unhappy. I am learning to say no to others ,as well as myself. Got in the bath tonight without hoovering  Nothing bad has happened.so far.
Values & budgets- also spoke with hub about where we want to be next year, made a plan(actually made plan yesterday but revealed to hub today). We are both on the same page thankfully & we chatted about how we can have the deposit in a year if we work hard or two if were more relaxed, we both want 1& know it wont be easy. £154 left this month.
Enjoy- made tye dye paintings with littles ones using shaving foam & food colouring. going to have an un Birthday party next week (Thanks Mother Nerd)
Make- food plan done yesterday.
Excersize/outside- walked to play group.
Rules/Now have all been followed today.
No take aways-- nope.
Extra- nothing
Winterproof- just got the medical supplies in. Need to ger de icer still & stock up freezer.
Report- here
Kindness- done I think.
Made a start with my mission to create boundaries with our "friends" messaged them about £150 owed for 2 years now, we bought something off them that never materialised & I messaged today asking if I could get it & highlighting the time. I think Ive no hope, but I want them to know I haven't forgotten & that it isn't ok to treat people this way. This is hard for me , but I'm proud of myself.
Feel good after a long chat with hub, identifying how we can cut back to get the car paid off in 14 months, chatted about doing more free stuff with the kids. Ideas welcome.0 -
Hi all:j
NSDs Another one in the bag today! 2/15
ORGANISE your time. Doing better today, did actually decant some toiletries into those little pots as we are going to hotel first, rather than straight to our place. Usually never get this stuff done in time. Had another session throwing rubbish around in room of doom..
VALUES Differentiate between needs and wants. No late night trawling auction sites or buying. Instead going into room of doom & finding stuff I had no idea we even had..if I can keep going in there the state of the amount of stuff in there prevents me buying more..
ENJOY yourself. Have fun. usually do..
MAKE an inventory of the food in your cupboards, fridge and freezer at the start of the month. Also must do this but am away for 2 weeks in the middle of the month. No more food bought & all meals from stores. Cooking tomorrow & we are out on Sunday for lunch (at 5pm!!)….then just Monday & we are off
BUDGETS should be set before the start of the month - Holiday hotel is already paid for thank goodness & I think includes breakfast buffet - also ferry crossing paid for, free food on ferry (yuk) so just motorway tolls to find.
EXERCISE 4 times a week, 20 minutes a day. Only out to take washing to line & run around with beasts. Also gave front door another coat of paint, but it will need yet another. Does look better though.
RULES Turtle rules can be difficult at first. Will do my best to abide by them.
IN case of emergency Add any items you might need Asked DH to do both cars & he did DDs first, she said hers was iced over as she left for home at 4.30 am
NOW is always the right time to start. Still on with it but could be tricky whilst away.
NO takeaways, No takeaways today.
EVERYONE Am DF but always could do with more savings towards experiences or holidays. Will keep in mind.
EXTRA Have a ton of stuff that needs to be sold. Will deal with when back from hols. More items came to light in ROD today.
WINTER Could do with a bit more prep but did find heavy door curtain in ROD today.
YOU should cook from scratch All cooking from scratch today.
OUTSIDE Outside to hang washing out & play fetch with wondercollie..to make up to him for being threatened by our only female dog.
REPORT regularly I'm here.
KINDNESS Found DD a brand new tartan scarf - in yes, you guessed it - the room of doom. She was very pleased.

Things did not go to plan today. Bought lunch with my points, had just missed the bus I wanted so went to get mum's Christmas cards and a jigsaw (the cash machine only had £20 notes and needed change for bus/ taxi). Knocked over a pile of baskets that were on the floor in front of the cards. Picked them up and restacked so they leant against the fixture.
Boxed cards were stacked in rows, one row tried to go over in a domino effect. Put my hand out to stop them but an adjacent row went, 3 boxes fell off and two piles of baskets fell over. Apologised but did not attempt to bend down and pick stuff up again - paid for my stuff and said I was leaving before I destroyed the shop.
Left the shop then realised I was going the wrong way, turned round, walked back through the shopping centre and across the bus station - saw bus arriving (it's the stop at the front of the bus station), continued to walk, 3rd bus came out of the bus station and turned, 1st bus left (only room for two at the stop, my bus was now the front one), crossed the road at the station entrance (3 stages) and bus had gone.
Postponed plan to go to SM and went across the big road to the taxi place. Went to mum's. She's enjoying the jigsaw I took her and had nearly finished. Put the tv on as she wanted to watch a film (bearable but rather thin Christmas movie). I read my book and ate my lunch. Phoned for a taxi to the infirmary/ doctor's to collect my prescription.
20 minute wait for prescription to be filled (read book). Everyone else got small 1 item bags, my turn - 2 large bags full of stuff. suppose I should be grateful that I'm not getting a carrier bag full yet. Walked across to stop for little bus, time changed by 4 minutes so presumed I had missed it but checked my phone and still had a minute to wait.
Tried to decide between original choice of SM (end of the line for little bus), large SM nearest the bus station or get off at little Arseda. Wasso fed up I went home, had a bung it in the oven meal and refilled my 2l water bottle from the tap, so only spending was on travel (mum will pay some of this).
Small amount of work in the kitchen, lots of reading, some tidying including packing all the pills and potions into the large box (I have a card tin for the ones being used).
Today I am grateful for a lovely bright day, for not doing more damage in the shop and there not being many people to witnes my clumsiness and for not spending money (will make do for a few more days). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
X_raphael_XX - I can always get raphael, of course, and michaelangelo and leonardo. But need help from mr google to get donatella.
Lcc - are you striaght into your new job onMonday? Or do you get a bit of a break?
Misstara - I was given special dispensation a few months back, to not include gf df foods as a spend, as we were having trouble sourcing them for dd and had to grab them when we could.
plumduff - an sfternoon nap sounds wonderful!
Off to take dd for yet another entrance exam this morning. This one lasts 3 hours. Yikes. They say that they'll provide refreshments, but haven't asked about any allergies, soI'll be taking a pot + bottle for dd.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
