            Evening all,
Dh & I have had a lovely couple of days together, getting Christmas bits and pieces sorted before taking them up North to family when we go at the weekend.
Car serviced and brake pads done, money was saved in car pot and it was £25 less then they'd quoted which was good!
Bought some bucksfizz, fancy chocs, jams, biscuits, christmas cake from m&s using the gift card I got for switching an account to them, these are going into the hamper for the inlaws
 - moved the cash value into the emergency fund pot (that is very depleted!)
Continuing eating from stores, only bought milk and bread this week so far. Tonight we had the cauli/brocoli cheese, topped with bread crumbs and grated cheese from the freezer and it with some salmon, dh has said it was perfect comfort food
Still no heating but they're due back tomorrow afternoon to hopefully fix it. The house is really cold but its nice to be cuddled up under blankets with candles all around
Take care all.Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

oh and the spending will continue tomorrow too as dh's favourite comedian is coming to our town again and he'd love to go again, the tickets go on sale tomorrow so hopefully we'll get some (the show isn't until early 2020 though!!!)Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

And......try to get my stress levels down. I did sleep better last night but have only been averaging 4 hours per night for a while & it's not nearly enough.
 Love to all,
 F x
 Much love.

            Morning all  :coffee:
Hope that you're feeling a bit better today Dawn, and I really hope your heating is sorted today 1LL - I keep seeing on the news that the weather is going to change.
Always thinking of you Foxgloves and I hope that you've managed another decent night of sleep.
So, having that little list yesterday made me accountable and I got everything done. Little shop at Mr S, took the boys swimming with bestie, watched a box set with dd and a teeny bit of school work.
Today I need to get me and ds to the hairdresser (another spendy day right before payday) and I urgently need to look at November's budget. Thankfully I'm almost done for Christmas but with the divorce dragging on I'm really struggling financially. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
 Time to take back control

Feeling better this morning thanks CCL
I am fed up with onepoll but ought to do more surveys to claim the payout too DNMS. The surveys are boring, and I hate that they are written so ungrammatically.
Raining here atm, which means that the dog won't go out till it stops. What with rain and leaves, he really is done with autumn :rotfl:
OH Is due back later, so must get something out of the freezer for dinner - I have used all the leftovers and the fridge is tidy :A I was thinking of making fish pie - I have all the ingredients
Will also make a soup Made fish gratin and curried parsnip soup
Ought to do some baking as well for the weekend, as small visitors always look in the cake tin Made fruit scones and iced lemon tray bake Made fruit scones and iced lemon tray bake
Hopefully it will stop raining so that I can peg out the washing I did last night It was windy, and dry for most of the day, so I did manage to get it dry
Must read the meters and enter the readings on energy company's web site Done
Also check banks and update spreadsheet Done
So, it looks like a mainly cooking day today, but will make the effort to clean / tidy something! Well, I tidied the dining table
Not planning any spends Nothing spent
 Checked banks and updated spreadsheet
 RM surveys tasks
A couple of surveys for Ipsos (still haven't tackled Onepoll ) )
Sold an item on ebay, and have bids on another item
Planned meals for over the weekend, and no shopping will be needed till early next week (and then not much)
Updated freezer and larder lists (not sure how long this conscientious behaviour will last) :rotfl:
Walked to surgery and back to pick up prescription, no cost as I am so old!
Took the dog, and made OH come with me, as he could do with the exercise just as much as me!
Booked flu injection - one of the practice nurses phoned me to nag I hadn't booked previously because I had a cold for what seemed like several weeks, and they won't give the injection if you have a cold. Hi,
Quite a useful day so far & actually managed 5 hours sleep instead of the usual 4 that it's been since all the recent stress landed, so a small improvement. Hopefully I will start to feel a bit less stressed after the funeral. I can but hope.
 Anyway, today's frugal things:
*mr f (who is on leave today) cleaned the house using minimal products & washable cloths.
*Overnight laundry drying on heated airer - would have liked to peg it out but it's one of those days where bright sunshine gives way to showers, so I have decided to be cautious, so as to catch up with a bit of a laundry backlog.
*Bread rolls made & are proving.
 *Fed sourdough jar.
*Big Budget Day - all done, except for hideous car bill. Checked our WTSHTF fund though, & am thankful that this will cover it.
*Sorted out my growing pile of stuff waiting to be listed on ebay. No time to start it, but it looks better all neatly stacked in one place.
*mr f is having a big decluttering session with a view to trying a few things on Ziffit later.
*Courier came to collect my last 2 big Ziffit boxes - when I get paid for those, that will be a total of over £90 for the last 3 trades with them.
*Unpacked & put away online grocery order - couldn't get out to do this in store (which I prefer to online) as the car is still at the garage.
*Wrote 2 birthday cards from my stash.
 *Did a couple of surveys.
 *Entered a prize draw.
That's it for today. I am now intending to snug up on the sofa to finish my book & maybe start another one, or I might knit my latest project, which is a jumper for myself.

Foxgloves, I'm glad to hear you got a bit more sleep last night, sorry to hear about the car trouble.
I have hot water and heating :j :j I've put today's washing by the radiators and hope to get it dry as I'm fed up of airers everywhere!
I made a berry and apple crumble for dessert, to use up a couple of bruised apples and a part bag of berries from the freezer. Blitzed a large handful of nuts (cashew/brazil/almond/peanut) and mixed in with the oats/flour/butter and sugar. I've just had a little taste...chef's privilege after all and oh my goodness its lush!
Right better go and find out whats up with the two boys as they're bickering again..Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.
