What small DFW things will you do w/c 22nd October?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important! :money:

Morning all :hello:
Just thought I'd start us off as I'm sitting here with a brew before everyone else is up. Well, up properly. We had a false alarm at 5.30 but I sent them back to bed :rotfl:
Limited opportunities today but still taking them where we can:
Using Mr T vouchers for meal out
Small shop at supermarket for meals for next few days including a couple of picnics
Small load of washing to keep on top of it
Swim and sauna in the facilities
Take a hm coffee with us for the short journey we are planning out today
Check banking
Watch a film tonight or something on the stick we bought with us
Have a good day folks. Purps.0 -
Morning folks!
Thanks to purps for starting us off!
I won the raffle! I get a luxury hire car for a week! Actually am terrified that we'll prang it or it will be stolen
Need to try and keep calm at work today. A stupid little job has blown up out of all proportion.
Today's mission:- B/L/D from stores
- Charge phone in work - done
- Gym at lunchtime - done. Better than expected session
- Heating off
- Nip to B&M for ketchup
- No alcohol
- Bit of overtime
- No sugary treats - ooops. A free doughnut is legit right?
Have a good one all

Jubilation :j my keys were handed in at my work - such a massive relief! Going to go on the mission to get them and then go into town and get a spare set cut - £45 instead of £130 :money: Should have done it a long time ago but there you are!
I've already tidied up d/s & vacuumed & sewn 3 strips on the quilt. Only 3 left to do. Need to work out backing fabric and pick up a sheet from a cs as it's not quite long enough
Today I intend to:
clean bathroom & madam's bedroom
Go to the allotment for a few hours
making red cabbage & sausage casserole to use up sausages
pick up some bulbs & pansies to plant up pots
Go through cc statement
undo socks cast on yesterday and redo so pattern lines up
listen to audio book/read book
photo and list a few things on fleabay
ok that's all I can think of for now. Happy days guys

Hi October Overthrowers,
Morning!:coffee:Day off. :j We had a long lie this morning. Now both look like the cast of the Walking Dead.
Thanks for the starter PF.
Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Four:
* Check online banking. Done.
* Get some exercise.
* Clean house with Stardrops and washable cloths. Done.
* Leftovers for breakfast. Done.
* Triage fridge. Actually nothing in imminent danger of perishing for a change.
* Attack 69p Butternut Squash with a knife and proceed to subject it to high temperatures. Roasted squash soup on the go for lunch with cheap portion of meat bought last week. Tossed in some leftover curry sauce.
* Repair broken headphones with glue. Yup, I broke another pair.
Done.
* Repair hem on shorts that came down while we were on holiday. Done. I'd completely forgotten about these.
To be continued....
Things don't have to be perfect to be wonderful.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -
Morning all,
I've been MIA since last month, holiday then a back injury... I've barely kept myself together :-(
Tonight after work I'm going to start bagging up all my coins. My local corner shop gave me money bags, they love taking change off me in exchange for notes :-). Should have over £100 there, which will pay off the remainder of christmas presents I've still to buy.
I've bought a cheap 2019 diary as well, I'm going to mark all the birthdays etc in there tonight, plus keep track of other things like my weekly shopping budgets/totals, daily spends, fuel spends etc. Any other suggestions welcome, I'm still not sure what else I can track to make debt busting easier!
Usual for the rest, NSD, BLD from stores, charging phone at work, done some comps at work as well (sshhh!!), and I'll put a washing on and fold the dry stuff away :-)

Afternoon,
Today is a NSD as at work and left purse at home. After I finish work I'll go straight home and probably have an early night as I'm exhausted.
I've updated my online banking and everything is set to go.
Have a good day everyone.Chandelier.
Current Debt Repaid:
£104/£619.

* Dates that free trials end so you can cancel any Direct Debits set up.
* Dates that loyalty schemes payout like Tesco Clubcard points.
* Months when you pay no Council Tax. (In our authority we pay nothing in Feb and March.)
* Local special offers. (e.g. Beef on offer at butchers all through Nov.)Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -
Afternoon all

Thanks for starting us off PF
Still here, still coughing, rubbish night's sleep again
Had to get up early to look after GS while his mum went to a doctor's appointment - only it turns out it wasn't today, but tomorrow, so same again tomorrow morning
Anyway, got some things done, and more planned:
Checked banks
Ordered repeat prescription
Load of washing already dry, another load on the go
Hoovered round downstairs
Cleaned kitchen
Packed and posted 2 ebay sales
Took some new stock to my sales unit and tidied up
Bought a nice pair of gold ear rings for a good price while I was there - these will do for one of my DDs for a birthday present
Shop in Sainsburys - was going to go to Aldi's first, but decided I couldn't cope with 2 supermarkets and all the traffic this morning  Upside was I found nice lamb shanks and a half leg of lamb in the YS section
Bit of business paperwork
Sorted out a couple of cookery books for the CS - I have some others on ebay, but if they don't go this time they can go to the CS as well. At least one has bids on though
Note to self - Do. Not. Buy. Any. More. Cookery. Books. - honestly, it is like an addiction! Mostly they only come from charity shops, but still! If I want to read them I can get them from the library and take them back afterwards.
Still to do:
Some cooking - I want to make a Thai chicken curry, and also put the YS lamb shanks in the SC with some veg.
Clean the bathroom
Update spending diary and spreadsheet with receipts from the last couple of days.
Sort out freezers (again
)
And get an early night!0
