You were being somewhat critical of orthodox jewish stance on homosexuality, are they not entitled to that view even if we do not agree with it?
With respect Poppy some members did as my thread emerged put forth that entitlement, And, I DID concede that my Orthodox brethren are entitled to their belief, so long as they do not intimidate or unduly influence those in wider society to act contrary to the laws of this land such as the Equality Act 2010 which outlaws discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation.
Let's hope the healthy debate that was emerging in the original thread can be re-opended.

Never report threads never report spam. There seems to be enough posters on MSE doing it without me joining in.0

"Common Purpose (CP)
- a hidden virus in our government and schools
Although it has 80,000 trainees in 36 cities, 18,000 graduate members and enormous power, Common Purpose is largely unknown to the general public.
It recruits and trains "leaders" to be loyal to the directives of Common Purpose and the EU, instead of to their own departments, which they then undermine or subvert, the NHS being an example.
Common Purpose is identifying leaders in all levels of our government to assume power when our nation is replaced by the European Union, in what they call “the post democratic society.” They are learning to rule without regard to democracy, and will bring the EU police state home to every one of us.
Common Purpose is also the glue that enables fraud to be committed across these government departments to reward pro European local politicians. Corrupt deals are enabled that put property or cash into their pockets by embezzling public assets."
That's the one. It's 'meant' to be a charity. :rotfl::rotfl:

I doubt you will get a response.
They are more likely to lock if I reported.
They are under no obligation to reply to any thread.
Like it or lump it.
Many posters have left this site as they disagree with there stance. Some have left as they wrote to many posts that crossed the mods line.0 -

What moderators?
This forum is not part of the MSE core function and, as I understand it, is not actively moderated. The MSE team do not have the time or resources to do that, nor to investigate the reasons for threads being reported - so, if reports are received, very often the simplest thing is to lock or delete the posts or threads in question.0 -

With respect that cannot be an excuse for the moderators apparent conduct.
Do the moderators or Martin agree with such an allegedly haphazard means of regulating what at first sight appears to be a credible, open and well used forum ?
You will be told and it would have been in the terms and conditions when you signed up,

I have never reported a thread.
Though if an extreme enough thread was on here I would probably would.
This would be a thread on how to make weapons of mass destructions.
Even if a thread started discussing on why its is okay to be a !!!!!phile. I would probably say why I think that is wrong, rather than getting it deleted as you would not change the OP mind on that subject with out debate.0 -

As I understand it threads that are long have more chance of being deleted by the fact that more people will press the spam button (sometimes in error) or reporting posts within that thread.
There was a phase not so long back when lots of busy threads went into the abyss and the mods explained that they could not be reinstated, which was a shame as there was a lot of useful information that was lost.
I have reported spam. I once reported a very obvious and unnecessary attack on a poster, something to do with her cooking, but that was so long ago I cannot remember the details. I have also been directly accused of reporting a post, which if I had done I would have been happy to confirm.
I have never reported a thread.0 -
I'm constantly reporting posts and threads, the majority of which offend me greatly. I'm sure I speak on behalf of 99% of decent posters when I say that I find 70% of posts and threads deeply offensive.
The way I see it, someone has to look out for the decent punters..Seems to me that most posters are reluctant to report. Not me, I love it!:beer:0
