MothballsWallet wrote: »Jo and brian: ok, so you run your own business, but I thought you were under the K "umbrella", representing them, but no guidance on taking on areas where there are other distributors.
I'm sure other firms like Citroen (to name but 1), who can also have multiple agents in a given area to sell their cars will have some form of guidelines as part of the dealership packs sent out to new firms who get to sign up as dealers.
If they don't, then I am surprised that K have lasted so long - it's just common sense to advise your self-employed agents who are under your umbrella that there are certain things expected of them which will reflect back on K: after all, it's their name that is all over the catalogue, not the agent's name.
But then, I can see why Findel bought into them: Findel just seem to have bought out so many of the education- and toy-related brands that I can remember from when I was a kid (although they have not yet bought into as many as Hasbro have done).
Actually they have very clear guidelines which I've used following an incidence of theft and resulted in the thief no longer being a Kleeneze agent. It is also clearly written into the information pack that every new agent gets explaining that they will lose their position if it can be shown that they have stolen books. But hey you believe what you want, clearly there is no attempt on this thread to establish actual facts.
Take Brian's ludicrous statement:
This includes following the system, but more disturbingly, it includes instructions such as: not listening to negativity; ignoring the concerns of others; letting any ridicule go above their head; and only focusing on and staying committed to their cause.
Really Brian, you find this teaching of not listening to negativity "disturbing" As someone that has worked for a number of blue chip companies and worked with many many others, I can tell you that this teaching is taught in all of them along with top athletic training around the world. I also read a lot of auto-biographies from successful people in all walks of life and find a running theme that they held the belief of making concious decisions to concentrate on focusing on the positive and seeking to turn problems and negatives into solutions and opportunities.
This is pretty much accepted teaching across the business world. It does not mean you don't listen to genuine concerns and never have I heard it taught at a Kleeneze conference that you shouldn't. Stay focus and committed to a goal that you have, yes this is taught and is correct, not disturbing. But hey you seem to have a knack for finding the negative in everything you see. I wonder when I will hear something positive in any of your posts.0 -
Ethan, that post was in TWO colours to distinguish what I wrote from what was QUOTED…. RED…ME….BLACK QUOTED , maybe I will have to use quotation marks again next time,.
I expected flack, that why I wrote on the bottom...
Not MY words but sum up how I feel.

That statement was in BLACK and quoted
I don’t agree with every word I quoted but understand the reasoning behind some of what was said by AN INDEPENDENT group who’s aims and objectives listed include…
1. To encourage and perform objective and impartial research in areas where it is needed;
2. To question, challenge and oppose individuals or organisations making claims for products or services that do not stand up to scrutiny.
So please don’t shoot the messenger, I all to well understand the importance of positive thinking and have worked for a big corporation that instilled it into its staff, however as you agreed with earlier one of Kleenezes main problems is its miss sold to new prospects in a lot of cases...as it was to me and how we were taught....."fake it till you make it I" was told repeatedly. Again maybe thats OK in moderation, but I still stand by what I have said about sending new agents out unprepared and ill-informed.

A lot of genuine concern against people doing Kleeneze by family and friends is dismissed as negative outsiders, so agents including myself at the time dismiss it out of hand.
I can honestly say that I have never been involved in a business before that I had to defend as much as I did with Kleeneze, when deep down at the time I knew they had valid points and informed objections against Kleeneze and its working practises.0 -

I don't actually do Kleeneze anymore, I stopped doing it in September of last year.0 -

You may understand the importance of positive thinking but based on the quotes you were using to make your point you make it sound as if Kleeneze is teaching some weird and dangerous propaganda.
They do not and in any case what they teach is not to be taken as 100% correct, you know we are all in business for ourselves, we can take what we want from the support offered. If I want to go to a meeting I go, usually I don't, If I want to apply a particular teaching, I do. If not I don't. I am responsible for my actions and my business. If I fall out with my friends or family because I shove the business opportunity down their throat and become the party bore, then I AM responsible.
Another of the teachings of the successful is to be responsible as this empowers you. If all your woes lie at another door than yourself, then you are truly lost as there is nothing you can do about it. Be responsible and then you understand if you are responsible then you can do something about your situation.0 -

You can only work especially in the early days with the tools and information you are presented with. Yes after a while I realised there was a lot of bull mixed in with the facts, when you start to separate them and concentrate on the facts more you are viewed as negative.
Propaganda, you mention !! don't you think Kleeneze is soaked with it?
I don't want to get into an argument with you but the facts and what Kleeneze Distributors and the company itself promote are poles apart.
Come on Ethan, 14,000 agents...only 6,000 active, and only 6% appear in the bulk sales figures (ie making decent money) on Kleenezes website or the send-outs.
Less people attending the International and European conferences...even though they are much easier to qualify for now (12 months to qualify instead of 9) and all SEDs get automatic qualification if they KEEP SEDs never mind grow so that accounts for 50% of the qualifiers who travel and still there are half as many as a few years ago??
European expansion as good as closed by Findel as soon as they took over Kleeneze, and Findel have the biggest business dealing in Educational toys in Europe...idealy placed to push the already existing expansion??
The numbers attending the main showcase conferences at Birmingham's NIA, down by nearly 50%...7,500-8,000.down to 3,000-4,000??
And they admit a 99% drop out rate for distributors?? if you dig for the information.
Hardly a resounding success story I wanted to shout from the roof tops in the end and did not suggest a duplicate-able business being duplicated at all.

Ethan, its easy to see you are still a Kleeneze agent as you totally ignore the facts showing the business in steep decline and try and combat this with personal attacks on anybody who questions it.
 The posts were mainly quotes, facts and stats mostly from Kleeneze itself, but you choose to totally ignore most of the content and instead pick out one sentence that I had quoted to try and have a pop at me.
You were the first to critisise me earlier for not having a balanced view, how can I achieve this when I can't show any of the current facts because they don't show Kleeneze in a good light, hence YOU instantly say they are "negative" I AGREE they are,but they are still the facts at this time....I can tell you that if the facts showed Kleeneze growing in any way you wouldn't complain then because that would then be "positive".....but would they not still be just facts.........and YOU call me one sided !0 -
hear hear brian09tt. you took the words right out of my mouth.
EthanM has the typical attitude of the vultures who promise you with world but dont tell you at the time of all the carp you have to pay out for.0 -
If I want to go to a meeting I go, usually I don't,Ethan
This would be viewed as totally negative and unacceptable in my old group and by Rob himself, why do you not attend meetings?
Can you not stand the "Propaganda" yourself or do you see the same old faces sat in the same seats at the same old levels in the business and find it hard to see any GROWTH in Kleeneze, then you have to talk to new people who have attended and tell them its "A great time to join"or "The business is going from strength to strength":o or the popular one at our meeting "There has never been a better time to be involved in Kleeneze":rotfl:
I have told you my old level and income, may I ask what yours is?

Spoken like a true Kleeneze agent, heaven forbid... whatever you do, don't try and establish the facts ...they don't hold well for Kleeneze.
There I go again being truthfull....sorry "negative"
I have thought of something "positive"
Walking the streets day after day with heavy catalogues, keeps you fit.;)
I still have a couple of agents posting info packs, EWBs and testimonials to me, trying to get me to rejoin. I don't see Kleeneze slowing down from its dive when I compare these bulk sales from the ones I have from recent years, the fact they are sending me this stuff shows that neither do they or they choose to ignore it??
