My comment on the MLM service was that it is not mandatory, it is a correct comment. As an aside Kleeneze make no money from it as it is not their service.
Distributors don't make money off MLM, but do miss-sell it by saying its free for the first month, when in fact there is a £20 non-refundable fee to pay.
But if you cancel within the 1st month you don't pay the one off fee, it's only if it goes over the 1st month you pay this, that's the way I understand it anyway.0 -
Hmmmm.......interesting debate. Can I, as an ex Kleeneze distrbutor make some comments? Out of it for almost two years and looking back I can hopefully give a balanced viewpoint. It's of no regard to me now.
Did you know for instance that the Network Development and Liaison Manager (the network team) have both been made redundant and that I've been told by an SE that K intend to ditch the network?

Simon Warren and John Kerr (Network Development/Liaison Manager i.e. “The team at H.Q.”)Were made redundant around the 17th July 2008.
Michael Khatkar has taken over both positions on top of being national Sales Manager.
The old Kleeneze crew are trying there best to keep it running despite all the cost cutting and staff redundancys, how long this can last is anybodys guess?
And as regards European expansion, it has been cast to the wolves. It is arrogant to expect Germany & Holland to start a totally new type of business and offer them no support in their own language and make them have to manage with the Irish catalogue because its prices are in Euros.
Below is the statement they put out to their distributors regarding Europe.“As stated in the company announcement on 21st December, Kleeneze will continue to trade in Holland and Germany. As part of the review we will be unable to offer written or verbal linguistic support from 17.00 (GMT) on Friday 16th February”.0 -
I have found another site that sheds some light on the Kleeneze business. Makes interesting reading.
http://www.squidoo.com/kleeneze
Like this site, current Kleeneze agents come on and try to defend the Kleeneze business, but the odds are stacked against them.
I guess this is because more people can see Kleeneze for what it really is....a dying business model.
There is an SED who has posted on the site....That means he had at least 5 Golds in his team and earning good money, now its mostly disappeared....I know how that feels!0 -
and that I've been told by an SE that K intend to ditch the network?
I don't see how they could do that, what would they do turn into Betterware and give out the cat's for free but no bonus?
Make all the SED's into area managers?
What about the fact there are no areas?
Why are they currently coming up with all the new promo's to increase the network if they are going to dump it?
They couldn't send a cat. direct to the customer's as they have no idea who and where they are?
Kleeneze is still a decent chunk of Findel's Turnover / Profits whether it is reducing or not (depending upon who you believe), the city are already not very happy with them if they were to dump Kleeneze their profits would reduce even more and they would be even less happy with them.0 -
You are perhaps not aware the Findel also own Ace cards and Studio 24.
Both these busineses are operated on a mail order basis.
I would suggest that they will amalgamate with Kze and either
a) Kze will become mail order ( ie ditch the network) All they are doing is replacing the distributors with postage, and would be cheaper,
or
b.) get kleeneze dists to deliver the other catalogues as well.
either way there are bound to be major changes soon, although coming into best time of year in lead up to Xmas.0 -
quite a few companies Findel own

Yes they own ace cards and Studio but they come out once or twice a year (that's the only time I get one anyway) whereas Kleeneze distributors go round every 4 - 6 weeks.
I doubt customers would order anywhere near as often, if at all, if a cat. just just came through the post whether it came through once a year or once a month, they are very loyal to the distributors and there is the personal service and no query returns if they have a problem whereas if it was posted they would have to go to the post office to collect their order if they are out at work all day (the post office or couriers don't do evening deliveries), any problems they would have the hassle of trying to send it back, telephone calls, posting the item, getting proof it was sent back, etc.
As for the other cat's I have no problem with that but there are only so many books people can look through.0 -

Check out the figures below and tell me if they are True OR False.
You sound like you have been in Kleeneze a while, so just dig out an old EWB or Enterprize mag and the last set of figures are on the Kleeneze bulk sales now, just look at the distributor website.
Rob Forster.
period 8 2006 £1,191,638
Period 8 2007 £1,086,279
Period 8 2008 £988,640
My friend who is still in Kleeneze (but not for long apparently) has just given me the latest "bulk sales figures" for the team I used to be in and its still heading down....DOWN £202,998. in the last 2 years alone!

Ok so your figures may be correct (can't be a....d to check) still doesn't answer my question Kleeneze are a decent chunk of Findel's turnover and profit they wouldn't want to just close us down overnight somehow they would still need to sell all those goods or the city would send their shares down even further.0
