It may have changed since we left but it used to 14 day money back guarantee and i think that was just the Business Kit amount was refunded not any sales aids, catalogues purchased. Perhaps a current distributor could let us know if thats still the case?

That's another thing! How can you possibly know in such a short period of time whether it's a viable business???

The company I'm with now give you three months to decide, which seems a lot more realistic to me.

Although I qualified for a full refund of my start up fee with Kleeneze, I'm STILL waiting to have this re paid. That's nearly two years ago now!

  • I also qualified for refund of our start up fees (can't remember the criteria but i think it was based on average sales over your first 12 months and my sponsors said it was very rare that people qualified) and i was paid a while later but again it was just the registration fee not including the catalogues.

I think its just so much harder to make Kleeneze work now, partly cos the reputation built of distributors coming and going, not picking up books etc but also because so many people have tried and then left that the opportunity is harder to "sell".

I am totally out of any form of Network Marketing now and have to say it feels as though i must have been brainwashed at the time because i am seeing it all soooooo clearly now I'm out of it:D

Even more miffed now - I was told that you got your entire start up cost back! Tch!

OK, it might not have been an ideal way to earn extra money and it is easy to get carried along with all the hype but I have to say that I learnt an awful lot and not just about network marketing. I also lost an awful lot (money) as well during this time! It gave me a really good insight into exploring the many and various ways that you can make money, outside the traditional job route, really helped me to think outside the box. So, in that respect, it was a positive experience for me.

I'm now very happily persuing a few different ways to make a living and if it wasn't for my time in Kleeneze, I'd probably still be stuck in a vile, soul-less office somewhere, answerable to some cr***y management structure and stressed out to hell! So, that has been a huge benefit for me in the way I choose to live my life now. I feel free.

Before Kleeneze, I just saw my life as one long 9-5 drudge, now I can see that there are other ways to earn a living and be happy at the same time, doing what I want, when I want to do it. It showed me that I could have a choice and that there were other options.

Also, if you've already been involved with network marketing, I think that the experience you gain makes you more aware of the pitfalls when looking at other companies. There are some excellent companies out there.

I also don't feel it is brainwashing, more that you WANT to believe it at that particular time in your life, for whatever reason. You always have freedom of choice. I feel that the attitudes we're given in our educational and social upbringing are far more dangerous forms of brainwashing. For example, work hard at school, get good qualis, get a good job, save for a pension etc are far riskier than anything that network marketing has to offer. At least with network marketiing done on a part time basis, your entire life isn't on the line if it doesn't work out. You might make a lot of money, you might not.

A job is not really a safe option any more and pensions are a joke. If you've got a part time thing going on as well, at least that gives you a bit of a cushion against financial adversity. Just be careful how you earn your part time income.

Well I've just sent in my resignation letter within the 14 days, by recorded delivery, and I'm expecting my £160 back, which includes 200 catalogues and a trolley to shift them in. If I get anything less than the full £160 back, I will be making a claim via the small claims court and generating loads of bad publicity. I'll let you know how much they refund me.

When I signed up, I was told to expect to get £250 orders from dropping 250 catalogues. Being somewhat sceptical, I set myself a target of £100 of orders for the 1st week.

I actually dropped 262 catalogues and got £50 of orders. That will generate about £6 in commission - for 12 h work. 50 p per hour. Fortunately this week has been sunny, so I've quite enjoyed the exercise.

BUT!!!! That 50 p per hour is gross. Because I've not hit £100 on my 1st order, I'd have to pay for delivery of the goods. And 70 odd of the catalogues haven't been returned. Replacing those would cost me either £30 or £60 depending on whether I were to buy 50 or 100 catalogues. So for accounting puposes, I'm between £195 and £230 down on the week.

I've decided not to throw good money after bad. From what I've been reading here and elsewhere, I'm very comfortable that I've made the right decision.

Actually, I won't get the £6 quid cos I'm not putting the orders in. The delivery costs would be more than £6. So for 12 h work, I will have made nothing, but if I get a full refund, I won't have lost anything either. I don't mind investing these 12 h in learning that sort of lesson.

BTW, I was wondering about the people who have placed the orders and won't be getting the goods. They're not out of pocket because they pay on delivery. I was thinking of writing to them, apologising and explaining what happened.

Well said, although 97% of people will not accept/understand what you are on about and no doubt (over)spend the part time income just as they do the full time one.

He does one drop and packs in, why join in the 1st place if your going to give it up after one drop.
Use the cat's you have and drop them again to different houses and get more orders so that you can put an order in to kleeneze over £100 so those people who TRUSTED you enough that they would get their goods will at least get their goods, it's newbie's like you that give decent distributor's a bad name and make it extremely hard for other new distributors who have more staying power.
By the way if you go back more than once you will get most of those "lost" catalogues back, but that would be to much like hard work wouldn't it.

Maybe you could just pop a note throught their doors apologising, that due to circumstances (or whatever) you are unable to fulfill their orders, thank them for their support etc. Or , if you don't want to disappoint and know of another distributor in your area, you could pass these orders over to them? That's what I did, just a suggestion. If you don't know of any other distributors, have a word with head office, they may be able to help.
