Munchin's Marvellous Debt Busting Diary

Your night out with your mum sounded lovely Munchin. I used to do things like that with my mum - precious memories.
Your plans for 2019 look sensible and do-able - and very well thought out.

Hi
SSG - I do agree that those memories with my Mum are so important and I'm building lots of them at the moment.
HHD - if you would vacate the sofa I can then put my feet up
Yesterday I decided to wash down the kitchen walls..which led to washing the cupboards and taking the dust and grease from top of cupboards - my balancing on a stepladder was not the best. I washed down the kitchen doors and then did the skirting boards in the hall and then polished the mirrors. If I could bottle this energy for during the week it would be great. I think that now I'm home I can see where work needs done and I feel good once I have it all clean. My next job is to wash the walls in the hall as I can see marks but that will be next Sat to worry about.
I also borrowed my cousin to help me get the Xmas decorations out of the roof space. I put the tree up with the lights on it only as my nephew wants to decorate it today with his granny. My sister was at her Xmas party last night and I promised to pick her up - she was finished by 10.30 which I was kind of relieved about.
I spoke to a doc in my clinic who was a bit sharp with me. I just wanted a referral to a new sports injury clinic but she gave me a lecture on NHS resources and following the correct procedures. If she had looked at my file she would have seen I have followed all the procedures and in addition I've paid for private physio and orthotics as I don't want to be a pain. Anyway she has asked me to go get an xray tmw which I will do in the morning and then can start my Xmas shopping.
My tenner a day has started in the red this week as I treated Mum and I to a Chinese on Sat which put me further in the red but today I'm just slightly in the minus. I'm meeting an ex colleague for dinner and hopefully he will pay or it comes out of my Xmas budget. I also put in money to the Xmas jumper thing on Thurs and again I've taken it out of my Xmas budget pot which still has £204 in it. I have pressies for sisters/uncle/nephew and odds and sods to buy out of it but it should be ok. I'm going shopping with my Mum and sister tomorrow and that should be all the big shopping done.

Hi all
So yesterday was an epic shopping day with my Mum and sis but we have all the Xmas pressies sorted. We also stopped into a cafe that we go to every year for a Xmas lunch.
I have a grand total of £35 in my Xmas budget and that has to cover work do on Friday, 2 more tins of chocs and wrapping paper. I have £25 saved separately which I should get from ex work colleagues on Friday which will take my budget up to £60 and £20 left in current work budget making a grand total of £80 to squeak through to Xmas.
I had a trial run of my Xmas dessert last night and it should be ready for sampling today. I have enough ingredients for Xmas day so my contribution for the big day is done (I gave Mum money for Xmas dinner separately).
I have another lunch provisionally in my diary for next Thurs but I don't mind as January I can tighten my belt again.
Mum bought me pink washing up gloves for me yesterday - she was going to wrap them in paper just to see my face0 -
You put me to shame with all that you get done Munchin! You're a little whirlwind.
Enjoy modelling your washing up gloves!:DFinally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Morning,
I wonder if I could customise the gloves with sparkles. I wish I was a whirlwind but there are days I would happily sit & let the dust gather
.
I had an impulse spend this morning- the boots no 7 gift set is down to £39. I’ve managed to justify it as I will use the products and I do buy the individual cream at £20 (but wait until on offer of 3 fo 2 is on). If I hadn’t seen the advert I wouldn’t have bought it but I’m not going to cancel it
.
I also bought some chocolates, cards and odds in Asda yesterday and went to the beauticians last night.
Sister popped in and did my fake tan and I had to fend of the pup who tried to lick it of my hands and face.
Today is going to continue on the spendy thread as I’m getting the train to Belfast for my Xmas lunch with ex colleagues. I would like to keep total spends to less than £40. Tomorrow pup is having his Xmas groom and I’m going to road test my gloves by washing the hall walls and doors. I am going to a friends tmw night so will need to buy some wine, a new house gift and a taxi home .... that should be the last of the big Xmas spends.

The Boots set is very good value as you use the items anyway Munchin.
Have an enjoyable lunch today with your friends.
