    Morning

Hi lincs - I will have to go see if you have a diary :).

Xmas do was very good..expensive but good. Food was gorgeous and dancing was fun. I spent just over £40 but £10 of that was train and service charge. I bought drinks for 3 friends which came to £16 and 2 of them were soft drinks. About 7pm I decided water was for the best and got the train home at 10. I always wake up with the dooms of ‘what did I say, what did I do’ which is horrible especially when I didn’t do anything bad and just had a nice night.

I’m out to my friends tonight and booked my taxi for midnight. It will be a much cheaper night and I plan on waking up tmw with no dooms:D and after taking pup for his Sunday walk we will watch Xmas films:xmastree:

The tenner a week challenge has exploded :o...I expect to be minus £100 by end of today but can start pulling it back from tomorrow.

    Plans today -
    • Wash walls and doors
    • [STRIKE]Take pup to groomers[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Volunteer thing[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE][STRIKE]Ironing pile[/STRIKE][/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Wrap sister & her family pressies and post to England[/STRIKE].

    Hi again,

Got almost all on list done except walls but I will do them tomorrow and I hope it brightens up.

Bit of a change of plan today, my aunt passed away this morning, we were not close but feel so sorry for her family. I will go to the wake with Mum tomorrow and the funeral will probably be on Monday morning. It was expected but I’m sure that doesn’t help the family. Will still go to friends tonight but will only have a couple of drinks as need to be clear headed tmw.

The tenner a day will be £6 a day for the rest of the month:o. I think I have everything bought for Xmas but there is always something that will catch me out.

    Weekly spends - w/c 16th Dec - tenner a day

    Sun 16 - £6 - 99p mushrooms
    Mon 17 - £11.99
    Tues 18 -

    Thank you HHD.

Yesterday was a sad day as we went to the wake. Beautiful crisp morning and it is sad comparing that to the sadness of my cousins.

After that I rolled up the old sleeves and put on the new pink marigolds :) and washed the hall down, cleaned the bathroom, living room and kitchen. Nephew stayed over the weekend and he’s a little dirtpile all to himself. I’m happy I got it all done but once I sat down in living room I thought that the living room could do with a wash down . It’s like once you paint one room you realise they all need done.

I emailed my boss on Saturday to let her know I would be late in but she suggested I take the day and I’m going to take her up on that as I have plenty of leave.

    Plans for today
    • Funeral
    • Pick up boots stuff
    • Wash down living room
    • Measure up broken shelf in fridge.
  • Sorry to hear about your aunt Munchin, glad you’ve got a good understanding boss

    Hi all,

It feels like Friday is the finish line and I'm kind of lying flat on my face with fingers reaching towards it but not quite there yet :o. I think breaking up with OH and starting new job has drained me and I just need a big long sleep....that's how I feel today and tomorrow I will feel full of energy and ready to take on the world.....maybe :).

I have been thinking ahead which I always do for 2019 - not New Year resolutions as they usually end up falling by the wayside in the first week - so what I would like to achieve in 2019 (not just money related in earlier post) are -
    • At least 50% of debt gone
    • Become more frugal but not be a tight....
    • Stop impulse spending
    • Get back into running
    • Try to get out of bed earlier to have a relaxing start to the day (have no bother waking up but just like my bed too much :o)
    • Sort out my eating side.
    • Facebook ban for all of January (really find myself spending too much time looking at rubbish so going to substitute FB for actual reading).
I have a year to achieve my goals and I read it is about taking baby steps so in January it will be the getting out of bed earlier and the Facebook ban. I will also get shopping emails diverted to my junk and if I want something I will put write it down and see at the end of the month if I still want it.

    Weekly spends - w/c 16th Dec - [STRIKE]tenner a day[/STRIKE] - tenner a day is on holiday as I have £69.25 to end of the month.

    Wed 19 - NSD
    Thurs 20 - £23 lunch + £2 parking + £9.50 M&S
    Fri 21 - NSD
    Sat 22 - £15 wreath for dad’s grave

    Sun 23 - NSD
    Mon 24 - NSD
    Tues 25 - NSD
    Wed 26 - NSD
    Thurs 27 - NSD
    Fri 28 - NSD
    Sat 29 - NSD
    Sun 30 -NSD

    Mon 31 -£15 M&S

    Total - £64.50 spent/£69.25

Those are some great goals, Munchin. Getting rid of a chunk of debt is definitely my main one for 2019 :)
  • Good luck with your 2019 goals. They sound achieveable.

I can't be bothered with Facebook since my mum died as it all seems so trivial. I spend all my time on here instead :).
