Afternoon
What a busy but really productive day. I have everything on my list of chores done except the work things which I'm going to spend 2 hours on and no more in a bit.
Ex OH was intense but weeding my dad's grave afterwards was really peaceful...or strange - depends how you look at it .
My best buddy has just texted and I'm heading round to hers this evening for a few cocktails. I like those evenings as I really don't need to get dressed up but just vegging, and putting the world to rights.
I better get on with the work thing or I will be sitting at it when my friend comes to get me at 8!!!

Hi
I had such good fun last night ....paid for it today with a bit of a hangover . Cocktails were a success + snacks:)
I have ventured of sofa ..honest and got work minutes done. I tidied bathroom for fitters to rip it out tmw - yeah makes no sense to me either . Fire on and pizza in oven to have before we head out.
I had a spendy day yesterday, nothing extravagant and all out of budget. I was down to £6.63 before taxi home and my share was £4..so I had £2.63 left. I get to add £10 today so up to £12.63. I think I’ve found a budget that works but I know I’ve said that before. I’m heading to a church choir thing tonight and they might want a donation. The ticket was dear enough so I’m not being tight. I have lunch out tues, thurs & fri but 2 are at another work canteen so should be cheapish. I have 3 nights of volunteer thing plus an AGM. I’m also meeting a friend to doodle round Xmas market. It is going to be a spendy week and my budget will be £62.63. I think it is doable .. fingers and toes crossed .0 -
Evening
Last night was amazing. The choir were brilliant and their conductor was hilarious.
I’m supposed to have gone to volunteer thing tonight but with work and being out all weekend and most nights this week I decided not to go. I felt guilty but I’ve not missed a night this year.
Bathroom people started today and they’ve identified issues with damp behind bath. The bathroom is part of an old cottage, so the outer wall is about 2 foot wide and they don’t want to drill through the wall. I totally expected these issues but Mum (who isn’t paying for it ) thinks they are just out for more money. I had similar problems with the kitchen, so all factored into the budget and I explained about cottage walls already. Bit annoying not having a flushing toilet at the moment.
Hopefully we will have a new bathroom by end of week and a toilet that flushes tmw.0 -
I hope you have a flushing toilet too tomorrow :eek:Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
