Really pleased to see you back f0xh0les.
I have had a pig of a day in between getting stressed out by my ex husband, and my fridge freezer completely packing in beyond repair. I have spent much of the day playing tetris with my other freezer to lose the minimum amount of food, and spending more money I don't have on a new fridge freezer. Ah well.

Had a spend day. Went to collect a few items I ordered from m@s and I saw these cute robins in their Christmas section. My Mum loved robins so I brought two of them. I saved a couple of pound as I had a 20 per cent off on my loyalty card. I did see a robin on the day she was buried near the flat and a few since then. Also paid for swimming which was my exercise for the day.
Just chilling out this afternoon and evening. I have done some self care today.

Sorry for not checking in but this challenge has defo been keeping me motivated. Think i'm at 14 nsds and planning a very low spend week. I've cut my fizzy drink habit waay down, thinking my energy boost is linked to that! Next expense is to find a new and cheaper mobile upgrade.0

Today I am grateful for the colours of the leaves, for a walk in the woods with dd, for Miss Marple, for meeting up with dd's friend + her mum, for knitting, for my attempt at pea soup being edible, for nice neighbours, and of course for 85% choc!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

NSD number 13 here. Did a bit of studying, cooking in the slow cooker, and cleaning, and then went riding. It was like riding a snail today I just couldn't get him going, and with my still dodgy-ish leg I couldn't get at him as much as I would like. Gave up after a spook at a squirrel in a bush (scary squirrel!) and then just grazed him for a bit.
Still not doing well with cutting down on chocolatethe only plus side is I'm exercising more so burning it off but definite improvement needed!

Exercise: Another walk with the dogs, OH and friends. Looking forward to getting on my bike next week!
Organise: Rummaged through 80% of freezer. Discovered that we still have plenty of food and also some delicious Italian cannoli which we defrosted and enjoyed with friends.

Hi all :j
Challenge: Oops forgot this one yesterday! Don't smoke & rarely drink either, so it has to be giving up unhealthy snacks. Better today on snacks, currently munching an apple (polishes halo).
Organise. Start as you mean to go on. Know the contents of your fridge, freezer and cupboards. Plan your meals around them. Cook from scratch. Don't buy anything you can make unless cost /time taken dictates otherwise. If you are new to turtle challenges or still have full cupboards you could try living from the cupboards. Lunch was same as yesterday bacon sandwiches & Hm soup, lentil & veg. Supper was Cajun pasta, all made from store items.
Regular budget items should be set by 1st October. If you don't know how much you are spending on food or petrol, now is the time to find out. Question every purchase - need or want? No purchases today.
No Spend Days. Aim for 20 (high target) or 15 (low). Am aiming for 15 but hoping for more. Now 14/15.
Improvise. Make do and mend with a creative twist. think of a substitute ingredient, how to make an old/broken piece of furniture last a little longer. Not a terribly creative person, but managed to make DH 2 banoffee pies from one banana, some biscuit/choc chips mix I found in a container in the fridge & half an opened tin of caramel, also from fridge.
Exercise Four times a week at least (20 minutes minimum but can be done 10 minutes at a time). Get outside in daylight as often as possible. Outside this afternoon as a fine but cloudy day . More painting on sunroom done, it seems to be taking forever. Also cleaned windows of it whilst up the ladder...now shows up the inside..still some more to do but hopefully nearly there. Had to have the corner bit replaced before as it's where the bad weather hits, keep telling myself I am saving us a big future bill by protecting it now.
Christmas Cast on socks with sparkly yarn.
Banned Will only be chippys normally with the odd takeaway planned for a celebration etc. No takeaways today.
Extra Income and Extra time Had a reply from the person who wants to buy some items of old doll clothes I might have. Promised to look through them to see if I have what they want.
Report in, daily if possible I'm here..

I am loving the cold nip in the morning, the leaves on the trees turning red and then falling, the slight mist, the fact I have remembered de-icer and screenwash and I have sorted all the hats, scarves, coats and gloves in readiness for the cold.
Also found my hidden 20p a box tissue stash.
Of course DS3 and 4 went to school in their shorts, with their fleeces and their tissues.
Dark chocolate is good for coughs, as are oats. Which means I will snuggle them on the sofa tonight with a hot cocoa and some knock off h0bn0bs when they finish their (indoor) after school sports clubs.
All food from stores, mostly using up leftovers - feeding 8 seems to leave a lot of leftovers, Pantry inventory done, menus have been planned, Shopping list written, but I think I can hold out another day before needing anything. Have to spend tomorrow, DS1 has inconsiderately outgrown his blazer.
Ordered online, picking up tomorrow. Also free-to-me £7.50 S&M candle on voucher.
My house is now filled with calm, candles, and contentedness.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

F0xh0les - well done on getting through the week. Sounds like you got out and about a fair bit. If dark choc is good for coughs, then I'm protected for life!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
