  • Morning all
I have given in to the lurgy and the awful night's sleep and taken the day off work today. I am completely exhausted. And as well as ill, I'm more stressed than usual about stuff at home with my ex. Won't bore you on here with it.
The sun is out though and I'm really going to make the effort to get out for a walk later. Hopefully a bit of vitamin D and a bit of activity will do me some good. Other than that, lots of rest, fluids and paracetamol.

    Hi All

Thrifty I feel for you with the OH- hard work if you are not both on the same page!
Dolly My mum once bought a cream for about £2- only it turned out she had signed up to a subscription and it was a nightmare!

Organise- so today I need to clean the house and pack for our break tomorrow. I am not sure If I will be checking in again now until Sunday.
Regular Budget- £150 left in the pot, car is being MOTd on Monday as I realised I could do it early and at least then I will know where I am when I get paid. I have put £150 away & if I need extra I can make cuts accordingly on pay day.
NSDs- today is number 15. yay. Technically I am spending money, £8 to be exact but I owe the kids money that they have been given (£2 here or there off family members - my aunt gave them £2 each when I saw her last and my Dad gave them the same a week or so ago) anyway, I am buying them some second hand figures off facebook, the hulk, spider man etc. The lady would like £2 each for them, which is better than I will get them for new, and they wont care.
Improvise- been buying 2nd hand toys :D
Extra- I got some interest on hubs savings account, only £50 but still. We are leaving it in there and it brings our house savings to £10,555:T just need to double it now :rotfl: also, i got some of those Free Vegan magnums from Tesco yesterday , what can be better than FREE ICE CREAM :j:j:j
Christmas- nothing today, but again will hopefully know more next week about how much I can afford to spend. I have already warned hub that if the car needs any big work he will have to spend less on me for xmas, the kids are sorted and that's all that matters, I will be happy with a pair of PJs and some nice bubble bath :o

Free lunch today courtesy of work so my lunch bag is coming home with me :o and an invite to a super hero party waiting for us at nursery today which my little boy will LOVE!
  • I'm reporting back with a spend day instead of a NSD.

I've bought a makeup storage unit to put all my makeup in. So the plan is to wash all my brushes then organise it all, to make it look clean and tidy! I have also bought a new jewellery box which is a lot smaller then my current one (which I don't like) and I shall go through what jewellery I have and decide what I don't want/what I want to keep.

The plan is to slowly declutter my room over the next month or so and keep things to a minimum. There is a lot of stuff I don't need or want and I'm just keen to get rid of. I'm fed up of the mess and not finding a home for everything. I'm on a mission.

I've also been looking at new furniture for my bedroom. The plan is for me to purchase it and then when I finally move out, I can take it with me.

I've also been food shopping today and spent £25 for household foods then £7 on some drinks for me to take to work.

So although it has been a spend day, I am able to justify the costs.

I'm not quite sure I'll hit my target this month but I can only try.

I went to my friends this morning for a coffee and a catch up. I then went to the dentist but we couldn't do planned work due to me being on antibiotics. Oh well, I've scheduled another appointment for three weeks time which will give me some breathing space to collect funds together.

Another friend is coming round later on, so I can have a catch up with her and will most likely make us some snacks.

I then have the car repair man coming round later to give me a quote. I'm planning on worse case scenario. I have savings which can pay this all off but I just don't want to see them deplete that much. However I need to accept that I'm to use them for times like this. It just needs to sink in.

I've just got the food shop to put away, then I can concentrate on everything else.

Hope everyone has a great day.
    Chandelier.

Hugs to those in need of them.
Challenge – Do more self-care. Still doing my 365 days of self care journal and 365 tiny love challenges. Done some housework which has helped me.
Organise. This I must to. Used what I had in. Have deleted some accounts that have with some organisations, which will help me to not spend unnecessary. Also unsubscribed to some emails. For the moment I am thinking of starting to look for another place after my holiday in America next year in August(still needs to be booked and finalised).
Exercise Did my usual lap around the park. Saw some lovely dogs. Makes me want to get a dog after I move.
    NSD 16/20. NSD achieved today.
Christmas This is already sorted. Have put money into a savings account each month for the year. Immediate family all get money. Christmas will be a difficult time for me so I will concentrate on self-care. Will decide after 2nd December - my Mum's first anniversary of her death.
    Banned - Not needed today.
Extra Income No surveys done today.
    Report - Reporting in.

Kerry Woman - are you looking to move a long distance from where you are now?

Today I am grateful for getting stuff done at work, for cheerful colleagues, for my job, for dd enjoying school, for both people who we asked to write a ref for dd doing so super quickly, for finishing 2 more dressed bunnies, for seeing the very first episode of Due South, for still being able to walk after yesterday's 'run' effort, for now being broken up for half term.

kerrywoman my parents live up in Norfolk now, I wouldn't mind living there but OH has a business here now and I wouldn't earn as much. Maybe one day. Also it's so blooming cold there!

Hugs to everyone who's not feeling too well.

Today was a NSD :j up to 11 now. Still really struggling to not buy stuff, just keep browsing online... Luckily I'm in the office tomorrow so should be kept busy. Gym again today which I'm happy with and also donated blood this evening. Tomorrow will be a rest day as a result! I also wrote the first draft of my MSc essay today (not strictly what working from home is for) so that's a weight off my mind, I can refine it over the weekend and hopefully get it mostly finished.

A needed spending day. Spent two hours wrestling with the Icyland website - set up a new account for on-line ordering, tried to see if it would let me have an alternate delivery address (to send food to mum's) or let me set up a second account for her (no but may have been the laptop). Part way through ordering (they were going to send me 2 x £10 vouchers if I spent £60 which wasn't difficult with mum's list and out fridge and freezer being nearly empty) it started to get very slow on loading new pages - I was playing a game and kept checking back between levels to see if it had loaded. Then it logged me out and I decided I was not starting over again.

Ate then set off for the shop a while later. Got all but one thing on mum's list and enough to keep us going (some stocking up on DS3's cordial etc). Picked up the remaining item on the way home and went into one shop to check out throws (to cover up mum's chairs and couch in preference to the 'doiley' type bits she had been looking at). Noted a few things to buy nearer Christmas.

Sat on the couch reading for two hours waiting for food to arrive. Did a quick sort as it arrived then went round to the taxi office to get a taxi. All food packed away, put up the curtains that had been washed, did a bit of jigsaw, watched supervet. Came home. Absolutely exhausted and have only done food shopping but I do get tomorrow off.

Today I am grateful for home delivery, helpful and cheerful taxi drivers and a nice day weatherwise, cold and brisk but fine.
