Hi all,
Sorry you're still feeling ropey CCL - sending hugs x
Yay to the new job lcc86 - hope it's a lot better for you.
Work continues to challenge - dead as a dodo for hours with literally nothing to do, then panic stations as boss can't find an email in amongst her (almost) 7000 inbox - not even joking here. Everybody copies everybody and one query can generate 20+ emails - such a crazy way of working.
Did some church admin stuff during my down time today and also completed the best part of a job application! Hate the personal statement bit, but cannily I've kept a few from other applications so I can hopefully cut and paste most of it.
NSDs - 7/15 - spend day today as we were down to the last dishwasher tablet, plus I needed veg for tonight and tomorrow night's dinner.
Exercise - nailed 11k steps today
Organise - all meals from stores. Lush SW turkey kofte kebabs for tea.
Christmas - train delayed tonight (and last night) so didn't manage to get to Debenham$ for my order. Hoping to get there on Saturday instead.
Looking forward to bake off shortly - first series I've ever watched and I'm hooked!

Hello,
I've been awol for the past few days. The boy & I had a great time at my sisters wedding
We went out for a meal on Friday night which was rather expensive. £50 for the both of us. It was about £3.50 for a small coke . I abstained from alcohol as it was ridiculously overpriced.
On Saturday was the wedding which was a wonderful day. I managed to stick to the budget I set and have kept the leftover money in my purse for now. I'll decide at a later date what to do with it.
On Sunday, I ended up scratching down all of the side of my car. It's a long story but this means I'm going to have to fork out for repairs to the bodywork. I've a man coming out on Thursday to give me a quote for this. I don't want to leave it as it is. I'll use money from the car fund to go towards this.
However after all that had happened, Sunday ended up being a NSD.
Yesterday I was at work and didn't have the time to spend and I went straight home afterwards. I was debating buying lunch from work but held off. So that was another NSD, bringing my total to 6/15 NSDs.
Today I haven't done much at all as I'm knackered. I have yet another chest infection but I'm reluctant to go to the Drs and I'm hoping to ride it out. I had a chest infection last month before I went on holiday which was treated with antibiotics. I don't know why I'm getting them so often.
Today was a spend day as I've treated myself to some nice, new ones and bought some nose stubs. I'm also on the look out for a box to store my makeup in, so I can sort out/organise it all. I decluttered my makeup stash last week, however I could get rid of a few other bits. I'll reevaluate another day.
I'm hoping to rack up a few more NSDs this week, so will see what I can do. I haven't any planned spends apart from a day out on Saturday which will come out of the entertainment budget.
That's pretty much it for now. I'll report back when I can.Chandelier.

Today I am grateful for having a good day, for getting stocked up on food for dd, for my counsellor, for dd enjoying school, for biscuit-making, for another warm day, for using the cut off bits from the bottom of some trouser legs to make belt loops round the waistband, for good chats with dd.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Challenge: I aim to lose 3lbs this month. It will be good to be accountable here! Lost 1lb so far. I’d better step up my efforts on this if I am to lose another lb by the weekend.
Organise: Will take stock take of food in cupboards, fridge and freezer. This should help with my MFW challenge too. I have been eating from fridge/freezer for the past week and I know there’s plenty more in there. Does this count as being organised?
Budget Items: I do know my expenditure for October, but do need to figure out those regular annual costs and fees which like to surprise me every year! No progress yet.
No Spend Days: 10/15
Improvise: Located coat buttons which I hope to sew on this week.
Exercise: Aim to complete 5 cycling sportives in October, four of which must be free (won two in a competition) and one of which must be self-guided and in a new location. Have completed one - four to go! Took two pooches out for a walk nearby. Plus on my feet for 6.5 hours - paced up and down to build up my steps.
Don't Be A Martyr For Christmas: Researched options for Mum’s gift. Also learned today that contractors will get both Xmas Eve and New Years off work and paid. Sooo happy about this!
Extra Income: Total sales for Oct: £72.95. I cancelled a monthly mobile top-up which cost £4.80 - I think reducing expenditure can be reported here as ultimately it increases my income.
QOTD: “Be brave enough to be bad at something new”. Jon AcuffIO BTL1 Mortgage was £97,693.54 on 09/08/18; £83,140 on 31/12/19.Sealed Pot Challenge 12: #078: £150.36

Bagged another NSD today. Started getting organised for leaving work, the countdown is on! Also managed to get to the gym at lunchtime, I'll miss not being able to do that with the new job but I can still go before/after work. Went for a walk with OH after work as well.
Getting annoyed with my phone, it needs a repair which is covered under warranty, but Sony customer service is abysmal and two weeks on and I'm still waiting for details of how to send it to them. I've no confidence in them or the phone any more. I've got the part to fix it myself as initially I didn't realise it was covered, I'm thinking of just giving it a go, I'm getting nowhere with them.
I have realised I've really messed up my pet budget this month. Granted some of it went on a vet bill but I think I've just frittered some of it away. Luckily they have
pretty much everything they need for the month.
I'm also not doing well on cutting down on chocolate! The month started well but has dropped off... Oops0 -

Hi all :j
Challenge: Oops forgot this one yesterday! Don't smoke & rarely drink either, so it has to be giving up unhealthy snacks. Snacks mainly healthy today, fruit & nuts..but weight creeping up still:eek:
Organise. Start as you mean to go on. Know the contents of your fridge, freezer and cupboards. Plan your meals around them. Cook from scratch. Don't buy anything you can make unless cost /time taken dictates otherwise. If you are new to turtle challenges or still have full cupboards you could try living from the cupboards. Lunch was leftovers, supper was some YS items from stock as late home after picking up furniture..
Regular budget items should be set by 1st October. If you don't know how much you are spending on food or petrol, now is the time to find out. Question every purchase - need or want? Food purchases today as well as few things to make Christmas gifts with, also of course the furniture..
No Spend Days. Aim for 20 (high target) or 15 (low). Am aiming for 15 but hoping for more. Still 10/15.
Improvise. Make do and mend with a creative twist. think of a substitute ingredient, how to make an old/broken piece of furniture last a little longer. Got a few things from CS (where I work) as for the first time was able to buy for 50p per item. Also a cake plate & 2 glass mugs for hot toddy etc.
Exercise Four times a week at least (20 minutes minimum but can be done 10 minutes at a time). Get outside in daylight as often as possible. No gardening today although got out with pooches for a short time. Then visit to hilly town was outside for a while although mainly in the shops..of course 4 hours in CS as well surely counts as exercise too, although not outside.
Christmas Able to get a couple of books from the shops, with a Christmas make in them, also many books from the CS. Supplies of googly eyes also found, and cellophane for baskets. Bought 4 x bottles of liqueur for gifts - all the food bought was YS.
Banned Will only be chippys normally with the odd takeaway planned for a celebration etc. No takeaways today.
Extra Income and Extra time Have a survey to do, plus input my numbers for Nectar points.
Report in, daily if possible I'm here..

Had my half day at work yesterday, got home parked the car and then when I got in it to collect the kids it was completely dead, rang DH and he managed to get the kids and I got the breakdown people out, the guy said I needed a new battery but he had to fit me a Fiat one and the nearest stockist was 2 hours away so I said I would get it locally, he charged the battery up so I turned the engine off and went in and when I went back to it was dead again. Wish I'd told him to get the battery now as I've caused all sorts of logistical problems.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
