  • Another NSD for me today although I was spending yesterday.

IMPROVISE - The hook on my scarf holder fell off yesterday so I fixed it back together with loads of sellotape. I don't know how long it'll last right enough :o

ORGANISE - Still organising paperwork. Slowly but surely getting through it.

NSD - That's me 6/15 today. It's going to be hard reaching my target as I'm going to visit ds1 on Thursday for 6 days.

EXERCISE - I went for a 3 mile walk after lunch today. My mobile app "Strava" told me I was walking at 3.1 mph. This is the fastest I've done since hurting my knee in May so I'm happy about this xx

    Hi all:j

Challenge: Oops forgot this one yesterday! Don't smoke & rarely drink either, so it has to be giving up unhealthy snacks..Best draw a veil over this one today. Have been out, ate one healthy snack but had fish & chips whilst out & brought back a Bakewell (well had to as we were there) for pudding.

No Spend Challenge: Do like the sound of this but do my shopping on Tuesday, I could prep by shopping at the weekend but hate going then & never do if humanly possible to avoid....hmm will have to ponder. Will make an exception for Tuesday & try for a 6 day week.. Spending freeze totally broken today.

Organise. Start as you mean to go on. Know the contents of your fridge, freezer and cupboards. Plan your meals around them. Cook from scratch. Don't buy anything you can make unless cost /time taken dictates otherwise. If you are new to turtle challenges or still have full cupboards you could try living from the cupboards. Ate out today, called at DDs house on the way back as she got me a wonky veg box from Arseda. Plus she had also got me some YS items - the kid is learning - plus she gave me 4 tins of tuna from her tuna tin mountain (21 tins still). She lives alone  Also gave me some cereal, so I am stocked up. Makes a change from her shopping in my pantry!

Regular budget items should be set by 1st October. If you don't know how much you are spending on food or petrol, now is the time to find out. Question every purchase - need or want? Spendy day today with much bought, but with a view to making things. So not really needs, but wants.

    No Spend Days.
Aim for 20 (high target) or 15 (low). Am aiming for 15 but hoping for more. Still 9/15.

Improvise. Make do and mend with a creative twist. think of a substitute ingredient, how to make an old/broken piece of furniture last a little longer. Nothing mended by me today but just had an email from friend saying he has a part for the drippy tap which he thinks will fix it & will come over tomorrow if we are in (we are) to fit it.

Exercise Four times a week at least (20 minutes minimum but can be done 10 minutes at a time). Get outside in daylight as often as possible. Not outside too much as torrential rain all day, plus we went out so much sitting in traffic. however, got exercise walking round the venue - a lot - and then into town to eat late lunch. Got pooches out later as rain stopped.

Christmas Got date for family party now & also a few things bought today either to make for Christmas, or to give.

Banned Will only be chippys normally with the odd takeaway planned for a celebration etc. OK fish & chips eaten today (planned) Only way I can get DH to drive 2 hours e/w to take me to said venue. Bribery.

Extra Income and Extra time Nothing done as out all day but email from previous customers wanting to know if I have some items to sell. I may have, so will reply to them.

Report in, daily if possible I'm here..

  • Morning Turtles! Have lost track of NSDs a bit, think I am on 8/15.

Sit rep: 4 days to payday
Fun money: £6 plus shrapnel (cash in purse)
Groceries: £16 (big shop done at weekend)

Aiming for a few NSDs this week, DH is away until Wed so food cooking is easier! Plus I should have time to ORGANISE MY CUPBOARDS.

Challenge: doing well on the no booze, but the less said about sugar the better . My annual health check showed that I'm still a bit portly on the waist area (though better than last year) so need to crack on with the healthy eating.

Exercise: went for a run at the weekend, plus a couple of sessions at the allotment. Even in the drizzle it was good to be outside.

Christmas: bought my first present! Out of fun money rather than Xmas money too :A

On the making cash front, have sold a dress on eBay - it was 20 years old and was never going to go near me again, so someone has a pretty cocktail dress for a bargain price :).

*Mothernerd* hope you get a bit of energy back soon. You have had a go of it this year!

Have a good week, all :j

    Hi all

Been looking at hotels for our break away in December, managed to find somewhere for £50 cheaper than my original hotel, same sort of rating and breakfast included. Plus this one has a pool so that will kill an hour with the kids. Been a bit of a faff to book but we are sorted now  My plan is to fill us all up on a big breakfast and then just have a quick snack in the venue where its likely to be expensive.

On NSD number 12. My original aim was 15 but Id like to try for 20. :D
nothing else to report, hope you all have a nice or nicer start to your week :o

  • My CC statement arrived today, so I hoovered up the spare cash in the budget and made another min payment. That's £70 off this month, in addition to my DD which is designed to clear it within the 0% period. If I can pay it off a month or two early I will be very pleased.

This does mean that the change in my purse needs to last until Friday! That will encourage my NSDs :D

Challenge – Do more self-care. Still doing my 365 days of self care journal and 365 tiny love challenges. Done a few household chores today which I am happy about and having a chilled out evening.
Organise. This I must to. Used what I had in.
No Spend Days 13/20 Was an NSD.
Exercise Walked my usual route around the park. Did talk to a couple of people which was nice.

  • Evening all :coffee:
Just a quick check in from me - I'm not very well. Touch of sinusitis but I'm still claiming my nsd as the only spend has been on Sudafed to get me through the day and night. On a positive note - I don't feel like eating anything so it'll be great for my weightloss. :D

Ccl - drink gallons of water as dehydration makes sinus issues worse. I know it's almost impossible for you at work, but do guzzle it down when you can.

Today I am grateful for a good day at work, for cheerful pupils, for getting stuff done, for my waterproof, for dd liking her 'new' haircut (done by yours truly), for making a decision to postpone something -and therefore feeling the stress dissipate, for dh making tea, for a warm and dry house to come home to.
