Today I must shop. Absolutely must, so apart from the one day I was betrayed by a M4gum offer too good to pass on, I managed to go Sunday - today.
Good things in the Tesc0 free magazine is also a voucher for a free 6 pack of baked crisps. - It is around p 56, so easy to miss.
House much cleaner and tidier. Chillin' on't sofa, then going shopping for FOOD!
Half term has arrived, as has the rain.
Spend freeze has meant I have finished the week with an extra £80 still in the budget.
Thank you for your good wishes.

Hello everyone!
Sending hugs to those that need them.
I have got yet another cold and this cough doesn't seem to be shifting!! Hoping it goes soon as it's not as bad as it was, just seem to have a lot of catarrh so not sure if there is anything I can take to get rid of it. I know putting your face over a bowl with boiling water is meant to help so might give that a go.
Bit of a random one, does any one on here grow their own fruit and veg? And when is the best time to plant or is there a table somewhere I can look. I want to start growing my own 1. to save money and waste and 2. so I can teach my little boy about growing food and where his food comes from
Proud of my self, stopped myself going into OD last night. Fancied a takeaway but went home and made fish, chips and mushy peas instead!!

NSD 10/15 today. Pretty unexpected but i've been staying with my bf as his housemate is away and he bought the shopping. Starting to feel a little like I am sponging but I am keeping notes and will definitely pay him back and treat him once payday comes.
No drinks today.
My challenge for next week is working on my spanish. Also going to attempt to cut as much sugar out of my diet as possible between Mon-Thur, do some exercise and meditate which I hope will help my mood. Lots to doStudent loan £5655
House deposit €32,667K/€40k0 -
Hugs for those in need of them.
Challenge – Do more self-care. Still doing my 365 days of self care journal and 365 tiny love challenges.
Organise. This I must to. Used what I had in.
No Spend Days 12/20 Was an NSD.
Exercise Did walking throughout today getting to and around the event I volunteered for in London. At least it stopped raining whilst cheering the runners for over 2 hours. Rained at the end of volunteering. Did not mind as it was for a homeless charity I was volunteering for. We cheered all runners regardless of whom they were running for.
Christmas This is already sorted. Have put money into a savings account each month for the year. Immediate family all get money. Christmas will be a difficult time for me so I will concentrate on self-care. Will decide after 2nd December - my Mum's first anniversary of her death.
Banned - Brought my own refreshments with me whilst out.
Extra Income No surveys done today.

Today I am grateful for keeping dry, for lovely people who asked if I was better (from my food poisoning 2 weeks ago - they remembered), for being able to give some things to a friend who needs them for her kiddies, for sewing and stuffing bunny limbs ('not more bunnies' said dh...), for leftovers for both lunch and tea, for having a mini brainwave about an issue that kept me awake last night, for swallowing a frog.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Challenge: I aim to lose 3lbs this month. It will be good to be accountable here! Lost 1lb so far. Cream cheese. That is all.
Organise: Will take stock take of food in cupboards, fridge and freezer. This should help with my MFW challenge too. I peeked in the freezer and fridge freezer. Cooked vegetation lasagne for dinner from freezer tonight and tomorrow’s lunch. Tomorrow’s breakfast is also defrosting as I type! Baby steps!
Budget Items: I do know my expenditure for October, but do need to figure out those regular annual costs and fees which like to surprise me every year! No progress yet.
No Spend Days: 9/15
Improvise: Located coat buttons which I hope to sew on this week.
Exercise: Aim to complete 5 cycling sportives in October, four of which must be free (won two in a competition) and one of which must be self-guided and in a new location. Have completed one - four to go! Took two pooches out for a walk nearby. Plus on my feet for 6.5 hours - paced up and down to build up my steps.
Don't Be A Martyr For Christmas: Researched options for Mum’s gift. Also learned today that contractors will get both Xmas Eve and New Years off work and paid. Sooo happy about this!
Extra Income: Total sales for Oct: £70.10. OH was away today, so used spare time to work at cycling sportive. Nobody got lost on my shift! I think net income will be about £85 which will be deposited into a mortgage account. Completed a YouGov survey during a quiet moment in marshalling.IO BTL1 Mortgage was £97,693.54 on 09/08/18; £83,140 on 31/12/19.Sealed Pot Challenge 12: #078: £150.36

Most things you start in the Spring - though if you want to plant fruit trees or bushes, you can buy and plant those nowOr shallots, garlic and certain varieties of broad beans can go in now. What do you want to grow? If you suggest what you would like, I can let you know when to sow / plant it. Are you intending to plant direct in the garden soil, or in pots / containers?
If you want some quick results with a little one that will work now, get a packet of cress seeds and sow on wet cotton wool. Every child I have ever met loves to grow cress on wet cotton wool inside eggshells (after you have eaten the eggs, obvs). If they carefully draw a face on the shell, when the cress sprouts it looks like the 'hair'. But you can grow it on any waterproof surface, a plate or supermarket packaging, just needs to be watertight as the cotton wool must be kept damp.0 -
apple muncher I have two house rabbits so whenever you mention stuffing rabbits I always think you're referring to real ones :rotfl:
NSD here, up to 9 for the month now. Spent the rest of yesterday cleaning and tidying after the gym. I only have to go twice a month to make it worthwhile financially and have already been twice in my first week of membership so fingers crossed I carry on in this vein. Also had an unscheduled trip to the vet  but luckily only something minor so can be paid for from the pet fund rather than the emergency fund. Also managed some studying and then vegetated for the rest of the day.
Today I was volunteering all day. Got soaked and spent the morning trying to clean wet horses (impossible!), then went out riding myself. Although the weather was rubbish it was a great ride as we had pretty much the whole Downs to ourselves so I could have a bit of a blast
Knackered now, have had a bath, done my various stretches and physio exercises and am already tucked up in bed.0 -
Hello All
Hugs to all those feeling rubbish, must be that time of year!
A bit of organising done today, wrapped LOs gifts ahead of his bday on Tuesday & got our halloween costumes & sweets in so were good to goSat & compared hotel prices for our break in December, to make sure I still have the best price for that room/hotel (booked months ago but I have free cancellation)
£139 left in the budget but it does need to pay for this weekend. I did spend yesterday on some stuff for the kids but my Mum is giving me the money back so she owes me £35.
NSDs- still on 11,spent today. Failed on the final day of the extra challenge but it was a choice to, I either went today or tomorrow & I'm in work tomorrow. Even so, I think not spending 6 days in a row or 7 out of 8 is bloody good going
Xmas- picked up some xmas cards while I was shopping & the stuff I ordered yesterday on behalf of my mum was xmas bedding & a few other bits for the kids for xmas. :j
Not a great deal to report, left over saved for tea tomorrow, coupons cut out of the Tesco mag for the free crisps.
See you all for a new week tomorrow0
