OS DAILY MONDAY 5th NOV

Options
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Sunday 10th November 2007. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as wellGood morning everyone.... Happy Fireworks Day !!!!!!

Ahhh haaa! There it is, today's daily! I've been hanging around for a while waiting for it to appear as there were a few regulars logged in. Morning Amie, hope you win something expensive to repay your dedication.

    Today's Drivel:
Go to wo*k, go home. I will attempt to do some housework this evening as the house is still a tip. I'm one of those people who leaves things lying around and then doesn't see their own mess until making a point of actually looking. As flylady would say I live in CHAOS and always dread unexpected visitors.

    I hope everyone is well.

    Bye!

Amie, good luck with the competition. Fingers crossed for you!
mrs mix, congratulations on your win! :T
Snowy, I love hearing all your drivel! :D Would an impromptu visit help? :p
Penny, I was so touched by your thread in the arms, thankyou for noticing! :kisses3: And a big thankyou too to all of you who posted on it…You really made my day! :A

The boys are back to school today and knowing how rough I was feeling, Mr Pink offered to do the honours this morning so that I could have a lie in….isn’t it just sods law that here I am, wide awake at 4.45am!

I’m taking ds2 to the doctor this afternoon to ask if it’s possible for him to have a hearing test because since the summer we’ve noticed that he doesn’t seem to be hearing what we’re saying properly, so I’ll mention that the antibiotics haven’t done the trick for my chest infection while I’m there.

At least it’s my week off this week, so I have nothing much planned. Tea this evening is a cheapie. Chicken and vegetable broth with homemade bread and if they’re lucky they might get a pudding thrown in as well. Maybe an apple pie as I have some puff pastry that needs to be used.

As we’re now into November, maybe it’s time I took my head out of the sand and thought about Christmas. :o

And on that cheery note, I hope you all have a good day! :)

Amie - good luck with the comp. Nice prize in view?
Snowy - you sound just like me!
I'm up early to try to complete an online form for school - it needs updating regularly for OF****, but I've had a complete mental block and cannot remember the login password! Oh well, I'll catch up on the ironing I didn't do yesterday instead. No time for anything OS today - I tell myself that if I could stay home instead of going to work I'd do loads....but when I am home I seem to be too tired (read "lazy ") to actually get much done...
Hope anyone celebrating has a great day - and (((HUGS))) to any who need one today.

    Morning AMIE, PINK and SNOWY.

PINK - hope you feel better soon.

AMIE - good luck with the comp and enjoy the snooze you're bound to have this afternoon!

I had a very good night's sleep last night - for a change; I'm hoping it's recharged me enough to be able to go back to the gym today. DH is off to work early so I'll whiz through the chores and see how I feel afterwards.

Don't know what to do for dinner - my menu planning has gone out of the window lately - along with the motivation. I've taken chicken breasts out of the freezer and that's as far as I've got. I really must get myself more organised.

I had a leaflet enclosed with yesterday's newspaper; it's called 'Cows 'n' Things' by Help the Aged and it's full of gifts you can buy for the third world. Did you know that £37 can buy a small farm in the Sudan, £60 will buy a rickshaw taxi for someone to be able to run a business and £17 will buy a whole year's school for a child. The list starts at £5 for a school uniform so I'm going to have a proper look later and choose something. I think it's a wonderful idea - we have such good lives here compared to poorer countries and it would be a lovely feeling to be able to do something positive.

Well, I was sad to see Dom and Lilia out of Strictly last night; she's my favourite of the professional dancers. She's done very well the last couple of years so I suppose it's only fair for someone else to get a shot at the final. I've really enjoyed this year's - apart from Gabby getting voted off last week which was a shock. I love all the dresses, as well. It's a realy 'girly' show. Even DH has got interested in it this year - of course, that's because of the female talent!

Well, off for a shower before DH gets up. See you all later and have a great day.

    Good morning everyone,

I've had a fairly busy day today. Did some baking this morning & finally conquered Mt Ironing. DH came home early. We're forecast for rain the next 4 days. I have to take Benny over to the vet tomorrow morning. She wouldn't give me any cream until she saw him. Of course, I couldn't see her today. I've been spraying some tea tree oil & water on the spots he's taken off hoping it's some relief.

Pink Get yourself to the dr's. ;)
MrsMix Have fun re-arranging your rooms.

Well will pop back later. Hope you all have a great day. Byeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Good Morning

(((hugs))) to those not feeling well

I'm a new person today. Had a very strong worded conversation with myself and that's it. Bloke? Who is bloke? I've no idea and I'm certain they're not going to eat up any more of my time pining.

Lots planned for this week - well hopefully! Hoping to go to London on Friday with two friends if I can get the time off work. Fingers crossed. Got a night out on Saturday as well. And I turn a year older on Wednesday. But I'm thinking being 23 sucked, so 24 has to be better.

Still no word on my flat, and I'm beginning to think stuff it. My friend asked me to pull out of the flat and get one with her yesterday. I'm seriously thinking about it and what with the stock market the way it is, I'm wondering if we're heading for a crash?

Had a fantastic afternoon with the girls yesterday. Really just what I needed.

Put another £2 coin away - only about £10, but it'll go towards fixing my very broken car, which still hasn't been fixed:mad: It's been nearly 6 weeks now.

    Anyway, hope everyone's ok
