Are you surprised OP as I'm not.

They obviously believe people will fork out £1449 to buy 1 outright or x amount a month as part of a contract. Its an obscene amount of money for a phone.
  • started this thread as i couldn't believe apple could charge £1.5K (couldn't believe it last year either at £1k) for a phone and wanted to see if anyone (john22) could defend the undefencible.......

I find it surprising, nay indefensible  that people still find it possible to start a thread just to wind people up.
Yeah it's very expensive , and but some say Apple have their "genius" stores and staff to pay, but the only thing I really find objectionable are the costs of screen or battery etc repair. Also having gone from an iPad 2 to an air 2 and paid the premium for having 128GB of storage they still only give you 5GB of iCloud storage for free , and yes I know their next level of storage is a "reasonable" monthly cost if the kit lasts say three years then the monthly cost will add up. Fortunately I have offset the cost of my iPad air 2 by having a moto G5 and dual boot PCs/Laptops for the same price as the new X.

Oh dear, denigrating someone because of a spelling mistake, a sure sign of a lost argument. Can't believe you missed "undefencible" though. :p

I can never understand those statistics. I always think of Apple as a great american product for americans but they don't favour them as much as the UK.

Where have those stats come from? I'm not convinced from anecdotal experience that there are more iPhones than Android phones in the UK.

Let's hope my new Mobile providers don't get carried away with introduction price rises, considering yesterday's developments.
