Hence you can see the problem with these "53% Apple" claims for the UK, it just doesn't stand up to what you see on the high street or showroom.
Exactly....some stats collectors/spewers seem to forget that Android is much wider than just Samsung. There are 2 iThings in my house, as opposed to 9 android ones, none of which is a Samsung, which is 18%, so I'd say 12-15% for CrApple is probably more like it......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
Good. I see the price of iPhone 7 and 6 have dropped by £100!0

Bargain. Fully expect the Apple fanboys to be all over it.0

I thought that £1449 was excessive but also thought that £999 for the iPhone X was excessive.
I'm on my third iPhone and buy them outright which is much cheaper than contract deals.
I bought my 64GB 6S for £560 3 years ago and would pay the same for today's equivalent, but the extra features of the X don't warrant the 60% hike in cost over the 6S (for me), in fact I actively dislike the face recognition and cut out screen.
Apple are now targeting higher and higher premium customers which allows larger and larger margins. It may be that I no longer fit into their target customer, but that is entirely their decision to make.
I may trade up to a 7 or 8 when I come to upgrade, but wouldn't take an "X" at £500 never mind 2 or 3 times that amount!• The rich buy assets.
• The poor only have expenses.
• The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.

You'd have thought that reducing your customer base was a very bad thing in marketing circles but so far it doesn't appear to have overly concerned Apple. It must at some point turn around and bite them on the behind.
Perhaps with Xiaomi soon to join the UK Android mainstream market alongside all of the other manufacturers Apple just don't fancy the competition and so are trying to take a niche market (the more money than sense market).

All I can say, paying £1500 so you can put a fish pout on your social media is a bit steep. The more I live, the more I learn.

Wow.... how narrow minded of you!!! They can also Tweet homophobic comments about celebrities and put up revenge !!!!!! of their ex girlfriend because she met someone better. When you think of it like that, £1500 is a !!!!ing bargain.

Xs arrived tonight late evening after not being at home Weds+Thurs and failed Sat upgraded delivery.
Cost aside, phone is nice, not as tall or large as I thought, thankfuly.
Nice light weight, cracking oled screen.
In time to post i phone 8 tomorrow, music magpie -then pay off contract.
Existing tel number should be transferred by Weds 5 p.m. or Thurs.
Be interesting what these devices are getting in trade in value in 2 years if I want to move away from iPhones though unlikely, think this is gong to last a while.
