    Xs arriving 2-3 weeks.
1.56k accross 30 mths via change of mobile provider.
    Almost 1.95k via cusrent provider.
Anything to get me away from i phone8 contract which is nice mobile though wasn't;t a great deal at purchase time.
Hope I like Xs unless I cancel if I dislike it for whichever reason.
Looking forward to oled screen, not sure about face i.d. -depends how simple it is to use features such as unlock and nfc/Apple Pay -these features will determine if it's a decent purchase.

I have the X since last November and don’t mind Face ID. It’s not as fast as Touch ID but still fast if you know what I mean :)

Tip to remember when you look at the screen don’t wait until the padlock unlocks to swipe up. Just look at phone and swipe up immediately and the phone will unlock.

Apple Pay works great with it. You don’t have to authenticate with Face ID as you go to pay. What you can do is authenticate and it will hold the authentication for I think up to a minute before resetting (of course that’s if you don’t turn off the screen before then)

Downside it has a hard time unlocking if your one of those people who keep looking at their phone off and on in bed when lying on your side.

Upside I can unlock my phone when I have wet fingers.

Quite clearly OP has failed to take into account import duty and VAT on the UK price.

Given the GBP to USD exchange rate is currently £1=$1.31 as I type then for Apple to get the same pre-tax price as they do in the USA it would need to be a 1:1 conversion.

what is the import duty on apple phones? what is the VAT? i am pretty sure it is not 30% otherwise all other goods coming into the uk would be 1:1

difficult to take your arguments seriously when you haven't used any other phone since 2009
