Morning Friday People,
Back home after a welcome little camping trip. Here are today's frugal bits & bobs:
*3rd load of laundry underway - managed 1 on cheap overnight tariff, but pressed ahead with the rest on daytime rates, having seen tomorrow's weather forecast. Hoping to get it all as dry as poss pegged out today.
*Went round garden to pick what had ripened while we've been away - courgettes, cherry tomatoes, a cucumber (no.82) & french beans.
*mr f just taken bucket outside to gather windfall apples ready for brown sauce making at the weekend.
*Grocery shopping done at Aldi & Waitrose. It will be just a little over budget, I think, when I sit down to do the banking on Mon.
*Free Guardian & health mag from Waitrose.
*Postie brought an outstanding expenses cheque for mr f.
*Mended a pair of socks.
*Recycled an old t-shirt - button to my button jar & the fabric made 4 cloths for the rag bag.
*Camping gear to be checked & packed away ready for next year.
*Knit current project (some handwarmers for myself using some self-patterning sock yarn which was gifted to me)
*Read library book.
*Continue 'Use it ups' - several last dregs of things being economically used up atm.
*Resume my calorie counting tracker book. I didn't bother while we were away in the tent as I knew my increased daily step count (between 12 & 20k) would take care of a few extra treats, but I must get back into the habit of counting now I'm back. Defo makes our food supplies last longer too!
Ok, must crack on.....140 mile round trip visiting Mum in hospital tomorrow, so I need to achieve plenty today.
Love to all,
F xx

Afternoon all,
 to everyone :grouphug: to those who need it
Short list from me today as something has come up that I've already spent a lot of time on this morning but still need more research whilst I'm home on my own without the kids distracting me
If I don't put a list up though I'll not get anything else done.
Today's list
Switch dss alarm clock off at the wall for the daytime done
Go to gym after dropping the kids off to make the most of my membership. Will fill up water bottle and have a shower there. done
Check banking/update spreadsheet done
Hoover round everywhere done
All meals from stores - make a chilli for tonight done
Get the freezer list back up to date
Meal plan based on what we have in
Share bathwater and continue use up of lotions and potions
Check surveys, I'm a close to payout on for one site.
Continue going through my cupboards and reorganising/get rid of anything not needed to the charity shop/tip
Thats enough to be getting started on, take care all.
Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Hi everyone
I have survived the first week back - barely. And am just sitting waiting for my gin and tonic to chill before I treat myself for the evening. It's been a very mse week in that I've not done a lot of spending but I am completely exhausted and desperate for another early night.
I've had a full teaching day which has kept me very busy indeed. And my plans for this evening are to heat up the leftover stir fry, pour my gin and watch a couple of hours of telly. Rock and roll Friday night!
I'm pleased that in spite of how busy I am I've managed to stick with the calorie counting, stick with YNAB and stick with the new sleep routine. No idea how next week will go, but fingers crossed. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Hey guys
Have come up for air after my last 3 days of 12 hour shifts buergh!!!!
Today I went and had my hair cut & coloured. I go to a woman's house who is experienced in curly hair so cheaper than a salon but still £50  (however I only get my hair cut twice a year and she reckons I'll need the roots doing in 3 months so I work that out to be £13 a month :money:
I tailored a too big pair of wide legged trousers into fitted that have been kicking around upstairs forever. They looked terrible so unpicked and need to try again!
oh giving the hot tub a seeing to so we can use over weekend
All meals have been from stores. We're having healthy fish and chips  I've been doing slimming world for the last couple of months and have lost 11 1/2 lbs
only a couple more to go to get to target :j
tidied up downstairs - have a couple of annoying jobs I'd like to do this weekend....
considering buying 4 balls of yarn for xmas presents. Will cost £18 so £4.50 each....
hung washing on line. Need to do another and set for morning
that's it! Have a lovely evening guysDF as at 30/12/16

HI everyone
Slowly getting back to functioning normally, just have to work round more medical involvement
Went to Tesc@ first thing, didn't need masses as eating out of the freezer but ended up buying items for when starving student DD goes back to uni. Made most of matchmaker and biscuit offers for DD and Christmas. Some bits now tucked out of sight, if they are hidden I don't think about them
Finally updated spends book for this month, chuffed about this.
Was cold this morning but it brightened up so washing out.
Still need to sort out a parcel, hoping that I can get it sent tomorrow.
