    Hi everyone

Lots of the children's HE session/lessons/training that was off for the summer has resumed this week.

Today they had 2 sessions 1 right after the other, thankfully hosted by the same organization. Frustratingly they only accept cash, additionally, I need to pay for parking either in the multistorey or in the local stores, which quite reasonably you need to buy something and then scan your receipt and input your registration number. I chose the local stores carpark and buy something from my main shopping list either early or later so no extra spending. Today I was very tempted to go out for lunch afterwards but ate the lunched I'd packed whilst polishing my halo.

    Today's plans:
    Only planned spends
    Submit a wholesale order
Make & take packed lunches for me and the children
    Eat packed lunch
Take & use reusable water bottles
    Dry washing outside
Set dw & wm to run overnight
    Make muesli
Home educate children, the lessons I teach them today will be free
    Eat from stores
    Stick to the meal plan
    RM survey
    Return library loan
    Renew library loans
PAD (payment a day), I do this every day, rarely remember to mention it
Wash hair and let it dry naturally
    Read the weekly email
Freezer inventory, keep up to date

I hope everybody is fairing well? I plan to be back later to catch up & update.

    Hi All

Last few days at work have been so tiring, but had a half day today which was great but also had builders in the house till 4pm sorting out previous messes - the good news is it looks MUCH better so fingers crossed. :j

Day off tomorrow and back in for a long day on Friday so tomorrows plans are:
    • Walk friends dog
    • Go to yoga class - fill up water bottle and avoid lovely coffee at the gym
    • Go for a long run (not that long compared to my friends but 4 miles will be LOOONG for me)
    • Make lunch ready for work on friday
    • Meals from stores
    • Wash gym kits
    • Try not to have an afternoon nap
    • Swagbucks
    • Update spreadsheets
    • Tidy house

Am aiming to get up to the gym tonight so wish me luck - am off to try and find some motivation (could go either way) :p

    Welcome jkbmum
CLF - hope you're all sorted with work. Sounds like a bit of a nightmare.
1LL - pleased that you finally got it done :j
I am queen of boring at the moment. Still working hard, but still not enough hours in the day for everything I need to do. Full day of teaching today and I'm really tired now, and ready for another early night.

I was so shocked. My son came in part way through (he's 15) and I was telling him abut what he'd missed and said they online shop 34 times per month - his words "that's ridiculous that's more than days in the month" and when I said most of it was by their 8 year old he said "are they daft". I was quite impressed that my frugal ways have rubbed off and he found some of their buys were

I even thought some of they're swaps was overpriced and extravagant lol. I must be tight!

    Morning all :)

I haven't watched Shop Well for Less, but think it would really annoy me that people can be so daft :rotfl:
OH is meeting a friend for coffee at the golf club (which is actually a super cheap place for coffee or lunch, pity about the membership fees :rotfl:) so I think I will walk into town for a bit of exercise, and visit the pound-ish shop as there are a couple of bits I need in there. Haven't managed a no-spend day yet this month :o, though I haven't actually spent much if that makes sense! Walked as planned, bought bits needed from pound-ish shop (much cheaper than the SM). Even found a jar of the coffee I like for £2.99. It is always around the £4 mark in the SM. Also popped into Icyland as I had a shopping voucher courtesy off RM surveys. They had fish on offer, 3 packs for £10. My voucher was for £5, so I put another fiver with it and came away with 12 nice salmon and cod fillets :) Bought a pair of baggy trousers (in Peacocks of all places, but cheap, and they are just ordinary black trousers) as I am still having real problems with having things round my tummy even though my surgery was back in May :(

Found 5p on the road :D

    Apart from that:
Used up the last bendy apple and a few HG raspberries with breakfast :)
Check banks and update spreadsheet Done
A bit of housework Only a bit of clearing in the kitchen :o
Watering in the garden - I was going to do this last evening, but decided that it would be kinder to the plants to do it in the morning, as opposed to just before a quite chilly night! The French beans and squashes are continuing to produce, and as they are in pots, need to be kept watered and fed. The tomatoes are still ripening, albeit slowly. Done
Pot on some seedling vegetables - black Tuscan kale, spinach and chard. I have the pots and compost already :DDid the chard and kale, spinach needs a bit longer.
Pick up any windfall apples and decide when to pick the ones off the tree! I will cook the insect damaged ones with quinces and freeze for winter breakfast fruit / pudding crumbles :) It isn't a huge crop by any means as I have mini- trees, but a good basketful, and the quince tree (which lives in a big pot) always produces a big basketful of huge fruits :)Apples don't want to come off yet, and neither do the quinces. Picked the pears though (all of 6, though massive). Cut back the new growth on the pear tree to encourage more fruiting spurs for next year. Found a large cucumber hiding amongst the pear foliage, as the cucumber vine has decided to climb it :rotfl: Picked a few tomatoes, some raspberries, a courgette, a patty pan squash and some blueberries.

Possibly some washing, will dry outside on the line Not done
Bag up the French beans I open froze on a baking tray last night :)Done
Continue operation use-up - stuff from cupboards, fridge and freezer for lunch and dinner :)Done, made a sort of macaroni cheese bake thing for dinner, included a couple of slices of leftover ham and a leek from the garden :)
Ring garage/ dealership re spare key that doesn't operate the central locking system of the car Not done
Ring optician to make an appointment - I haven't been for years, and now struggle a bit when I need to thread a needle :rotfl:Nor this

    Anyway, more coffee needed first!

Better effort needed tomorrow I think!
