Survived my first day back at school and I'm absolutely shattered. It's going to take me a while to get back into it that's for sure. I've worked hard all day, got home, prepped the kids for going back tomorrow, done a bit more work and now am catching up on here before heading off for another early night.
Have finally bagged my first nsd of the month, which I'm very pleased about indeedThis week is definitely going to be about getting back into work routine so I will be very boring.
Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Hi all:j
Tried to get some things done today rather than piffling about...to the end as rain was forecast went into garden this morning & did quite a bit of clearing, putting a big pile of brambles ready for burning. Also did a job which I have been putting off for ages - painting the little walls with a sealant....doesn't look any different tbh but really hoping it will stop the paint from flaking off ...although it rained not too long after I did it, just hoping it was dry enough.
Set your budgets now. Pay to your debts/savings first and live off the rest. Make sure you're on the best deals for utilities, phones, broadband, etc. Are there any areas in your budget that you could cut down on? Receipts ready to fill in on spreadsheet, al DDs now out so it's generally just food shopping/animal food shopping/car repair probs Wednesday too.
Use up. Have a look through your cupboards and identify any food that's been lurking there for a while and incorporate it into a meal plan. Likewise toiletries, any half opened bottles - use before opening/buying more. Used up several things from freezer including some cooked frozen Victoria plums, unusually for me the package was dated...2015..still delicious in a crumble.
NSDs - there are 30 days in September so a minimum of 15 or 20 for a harder challenge. Usual exemptions for ys items, petrol and medical expenses. Now 1/15
Spread some sunshine - be kind to others, help out friends, neighbours, colleagues and strangers. Share your tales of any random acts of kindness. Will try this tomorrow as I do my shift in the CS..
Healthy eating - up your fruit and veg intake, quit snacking between meals or choose healthier options. No snacking in between meals & have cut out the snacky biscuit eaten at computer, now just yoghurt & fruit.
Invest in yourself. Make sure you take the time to do things that you enjoy. Try something new that you've always wanted to do. Been outside today which although enjoyable had me perspiring heavily due to all the physical work. Was determined - some would say stubborn - to get it done. Have an outfit for this dreaded meal on Saturday, I don't suppose I can lose too much weight before then so it will have to do. My DDs best friends funeral is at exactly the same time as the 80th birthday meal. Was quite spooked to get a FB invite from the friend, but her husband explained that it was the only way he could contact all her friends...it still felt funny though.:(
No spending on takeaways, drinks out, etc unless prearranged and budgeted for. No takeaways today.
Try to find free activities to do. Will do.
Exercise - it won't be long before the darker nights start drawing in so make the most of it while you can. Get outdoors for walk/run/cycle even if only for 10 minutes. Good time out in the garden today even if it was only in the morning. Can see lots of things need doing, it's whether I can get them done before the bad weather sets in..might have to forego the trip away in September.

Morning all,
Spendy day yesterday at Ikea, wilkos and then pizza express. It was our last outing of the holidays and maybe our last for a while as she’s pregnant and will be off on mat leave during this term.
Lots of useful bits bought, I never go near an Ikea or wilkos on my normal travels. I also renegotiated my deal with virgin. They wanted to put the price up again but it’s only me at home, I’m not that fussed about tv channels and just need to broadband to work in the evenings. I told them and within 3 minutes they had cancelled the increase and gave me a further £5.50 off my monthly contract. I think I could probably have pushed for more but I was happy with thatAlso morning student loan is nearly paid so called to swap that to DD payments for the last bit and I get October and November off paying
that’ll be useful for Christmas.
I also swam and walked 15,000 steps but ate loads. Oh well.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)
New roof and car £8557/£19003 New kitchen £396/£5039 Credit card Paid Student loan Paid0 -
Morning turtles I completely forgot to post yesterday, not that I had much to post about! Still off sick, return on Wednesday, so just spent the day mooching about the house. Watched some TV, read quite a bit, and did all my various neck, back, ankle and wrist exercises (didn't think I'd have fallen apart this badly at 32!). All in all bagged a NSD. Today should be another NSD too.0
