mothernerd - sounds like a good time (overall) was had - and making peace with XOH sounds like an unexpected bonus? Hope the feet/ legs feel better today.
Yesterday was a spend day - was a UNi open day trip with DS1 and thought we'd have to buy lunch but a large buffet was put on - yum! However, we did have to pay bridge toll (was in Wales) and also bought breakfast on the way as was quick, easy, no mess to leave behind and set all of us up for a loooong morning before the lunch

Mothernerd - congratulations! So glad you loved it. I had a feeling you would. Lots of new places to be excited about now. You go girl. While you can (not in a menacing way), but I know lots of ladies with grown up children who wish they had travelled more before ill health scuppered the chance because they were putting other people first. 48 hours somewhere can be enough. Plus the planning is such fun.
Got masses done yesterday - investing in my environment rather than myself, although I live in my environment, so really it is all about me. small spend yesterday (£6.50) in a charity shop. much cheaper than if I had bought new. So there you go. Another irritation banished.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Mothernerd - your trip sounds perfect! So pleased that there were so many positives fom it.
Greent - wow! A quick turn around required then, for ds1. Is he going to the same place as dd?
Fmess - I spend the last 3 weeks of the summer always thinking 'why onearth am I a teacher? I'm rubbish at the job. I can't do it. I should do something else...etc'. Hope all goes well this week.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

mothernerd - glad you had a good time and are back safely.
thrifty - I'm vegan which is why I don't eat the pizza, you can get vegan ones but they are expensive and look a bit weird.
Spendy day yesterday, bought sports gel insoles for DH and me for running, 3 tubes of foundation for DD on 3 for 2 at Body Shop, apart for some groceries I think that was it.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

They were new in the last fortnight in mine.
They were with the Ben & J3rry's rather than in with the free from stuff.
You can have a pint for breakfast, lunch, and one for tea and still come in under 1000 calories:T might have to have an orange or something to stave off scurvy.:rotfl:

Afternoon everyone :hello:
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. Haven’t posted for a while but I’ve been keeping track so here’s an update on my not so fascinating progress:
