    Hi all :)

Set budgets- have about 80 quid left for the month. Going to attempt to sell some things. Sold an old toy of my boys for 5pounds yesterday but not sure when it is being collected.

Use up- going to look at the food we have in tomorrow & do a list.
NSDs- on 3 so far.could well be a NSD. I have a pre--booked lesson but I've put money aside. Birthday party later is the only time I might need cash. Will see.
Spread some sunshine- invited a new neighbour to our play group.
Healthy eating-- doing my best :)

Invest in yourself-- taking time to go to my lesson & invest in my hobby.
No take aways- can't afford anyway!!
Excersize- ran last night ,might do YOGA tonight but also need to rest up before Sunday :D

    Good morning,

Hope all your kids get on ok in the new school year. Funny how the start varies across the country, mine have been back for 3 weeks. Panicked the other day about the amount of homework he now gets in P3 to complete in just two days till I found the note saying, to be handed in on the 27th :D

Hangs head in shame and admits, the heating came on this morning. Up here it's getting a bit chilly and the living room only had 15C. Just as well we're £150 in credit

Asda order today. Kept panicking last night that I forgot to order this and that but then remembered that I'm trying to do without certain things as part of my new better habits plan which is going well so far. Slowly trying to involve the family esp in healthier eating.

Have a good Friday and see y'all later

    Good morning all,

Didn't get to post yesterday as was out most of the day with DMum and DSis. Had lunch out, meaning another spend day :( but it was good to catch up as I hadn't seen them for 5 weeks.

Set your budgets now - done as far as I can do. Sorted out my phone contract yesterday. Will be changing supplier and saving myself some money each month vs. staying with the same supplier. New phone should be delivered tomorrow.
Use up - main meals from stores - kedgeree last night - kitchen still smells this morning. Used up jar of pickle making packed lunches and found a wrinkly peach in the fruit bowl which was just about still okay.
NSDs - Unfortunately still on 1/15. Hoping to start racking these up when I'm back to work.
Spread some sunshine - Nothing on this.
Healthy eating - Nice jacket potato and salad for lunch yesterday and SW kedgeree for tea. Also trying to drink more water and only have herbal tea after dinner. Winning so far. Lost 1lb at SW this week.
Invest in yourself - Wednesday night DH went out so I had a lovely bath and was in bed for 10pm which is early for me. Had a wonderful nights sleep. Need to make sure I get more sleep. Have made some notes about goals for the remainder of this year - things to do, places to go and how I'm going to get to my weight target.
No spending on takeaways, drinks out, etc unless prearranged and budgeted for. - lunch out yesterday. DH is off today (in lieu of Monday which is my bday). We will be going to a local craft fayre and will have lunch out, but we have planned for this.
Exercise - managed 10k steps on Wednesday and 9.5k yesterday. Walked/ran to SW as it started raining on the way!

    Have a good day all,
    Coxy

lcc86 - oh dear, I hope today is better for you.

Glenda - when my DD started at secondary school the head said to the new parents 'don't believe everything your child comes home saying about us and we won't believe everything they tell us about you'. He was spot on.

Today is my last Friday off for a while, I really didn't want to work Fridays but it was pratical to do so as DH can get the kids from school and we always have pizza (well I don't) for tea so no cooking. I am going to get the cleaning out of the way this morning so the house looks nice for 5 minutes, walk the dog then relax for the afternoon.

We have pizza Friday here too. I usually have some too but much less then I used to. Hubby and I were laughing the other day, in our twenties we would eat a 10" or 12" easily each, now we maybe manage half.

What do you have instead? Just looking for tips for pizza alternatives for me too, that don't involve cooking. Thanks

S - budgets set, not blown yet.
U - used up some nasty smelling talcum powder. It smelled better than DS's football boots. All good and another thing out of the house.
N - 3/20 but hoping not to spend again until Monday
S - no sunshine spread but laughed with another mum on't playground
H - found a new vegan coconut based ice cream which is 340 cal PER WHOLE TUB - called Halo Top. Will report back. In order to be thorough I bought the salted caramel, toasted coconut and the peanut butter flavour (£3.50 per tub) in Mr T's
I - investing by lowering calories and getting the shopping out of the way so I can have a weekend. Also bought beer-free-beer. much lower cal. I will be thinner!!
N - no takeaways or 'owt like that - DH offered to take me for lunch (he has lunch out every day) I declined - there are leftovers in the fridge that need addressing.
E - going to hit every single charity shop in town today, all 12 of them. It should take me from 12 - picking up time. Admittedly not walking quickly, but should be 3 hours of not sitting down with a good bit of bending and squatting thrown in for good measure.

    Happy Friday everyone!

  • Our lunch out today. I had a 40% off voucher and Himself paid the rest so a NSD for me 5/20. It was lovely and himself has suggested that we get a voucher/find a deal and go a couple of times a week. Not very MSE, I know, but relationship wise it would be a good investment. We don't go out at night, go to the pub, etc so maybe?

We had a little walk around town beforehand.

Whilst we were in town they were handing out free bottles of ribena. I don't like blackcurrant drinks but we took two anyway and gave them to the little one's mother. They like ribena and it'll save her a couple of pounds.

So a quiet night in. Book and early to bed.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

Set your budgets now. Have done this.
    Use up. Done this today.
    NSDs – Achieved today. 6/20
Spread some sunshine – Spoke to an elderly neighbour who I saw when I went out today.
Healthy eating – Need to be more mindful with what I am eating. No snacking today.
Invest in yourself. Did wordsearch, mindfulness colouring and watched some programmes that I like.
No spending on takeaways, drinks out, etc unless prearranged and budgeted for. Try to find free activities to do.
Exercise – Did one lap of the route I usually do around the park.

Finally left a message on a painter/decorator mobile to do the flat. Really want this sorted out this year. He has good reviews. Checked on a website who gives details on people who do various trades.
Also found out more information about where I will going swimming. Got times for the weekend and cost of locker.
