Recent £50 High Street voucher incentive on Barclaycard Platinum

Afternoon all,

I used my card approx 3 weeks ago, and hadn't received any 'claim form' as yet. I spoke to Barclaycard c/s (0870 154 0154) yesterday, who confirmed that a 'voucher' for £50 had been sent on the 16th of this month, and to allow 4 weeks for receipt. The voucher can be used in 'most High St.' stores.

There may be some good news after all.

here's my story and I have registered here just for this purpose!

I applied for the card as soon as the offer appeared as did my partner.

Partner received her voucher request form after a few weeks and sent it back.

After some weeks had passed since I made a purchase and hadn't received my voucher request form I rang them - spoke to the indian call centre staff who claimed my vouchers had been sent out - I pointed out this couldnt be possible as I'd not filled in a form to tell them the type of voucher I wanted - she fobbed me off with waffle so I asked what voucher - she claimed the computer didn't say - I rang back and eventually got through to someone in the uk at barclaycard who said he'd sort it out - 4 days later my request form arrive - this was a month ago - I filled it in and sent it off.

As nothing has arrived ie no vouchers for either of us I rang the 0845 number on the request form (you keep part of the form) and they told me barclaycard had "jumped the gun" and that vouchers will be sent out in December!!!!

What a pathetic shambles of a promotion.

I asked who to complain to - he gave me the barclaycard customer service number - the one that goes to india!

I've got my ARGOS Vouchers, they came today 2 x £20 vouchers and 1 x £10 voucher. Now to close my account

so why is it I rang their number and they told me they wont be posting vouchers out until December? I recon they have run out of vouchers and lied to me.

£50 of River Island vouchers arrived in today's post. They are regular vouchers, with no min. spend nor use by date.

Probabily I think i was the first or one of the first to get the form. BTW Customer Services is a 0800 number for the platinum card (just so you dont have to pay for the call )

Just spoke to customer services at Barclay Card and they say now that the vouchers will be posted out within 28 days of your intial purchase. There is now no need to fill in the form to request the vouchers, i take it the vouchers they are going to send out will work everywhere that was on the list.

My purchase was made on the nov 8th so voucher should arrive by dec 6th. Heres hoping.

I must be one of the lucky ones as i got my £50 argos vouchers today (though they are strange looking cards which say they are vouchers)

Got my vouchers today - £50 Marks and Spencer.

The interesting thing is, I was sent the form straight after the card and I've only balance transferred so far.

I haven't spent anything on the card....nor will I now I have the vouchers.
